Summer is here. Put on sun tan lotion and get out. So let's join together and encourage and cheer each other on with our fitness goals! Warm weather is here and we want to be in shape to enjoy it!
WELCOME EVERYONE anytime and yes you can walk/jog/run or combo, cycling, spinning, swimming, aerobic classes, elliptical machine, yoga, pilates, strength train and core work too!
Each week you set and post your own attainable mileage/minutes goal and strive to achieve it. Saturday thru Friday is our fitness week with Saturday morning weigh-ins (WI). WIs are encouraged but optional.11 There is no judgement here!
This challenge runs from March June 21 to September 22.

I'm getting spacey and a bit stressed out. The Syracuse Scottish Games are this Saturday and I'm playing in TWO bands and I'm just not prepared! And then more importantly, Timmy and Julie move to Boulder, CO this Saturday! My kids and I are all very close, this is going to be a rough transition. We'll have one last, shortish get-together tomorrow afternoon, then Tim&Julie are off, if all goes well, around 6:00am Saturday morning. They're spreading out their drive to Boulder over 3 days as they are transporting their 2 elderly cats as well as themselves and their car.
I'm so dense sometimes, I suppose this is why i've been so spacey lately and struggling to stay on track with my diet and exercise. I was doing so well during the spring but seem to be unable to get my act together for more than a few days at a time since about May/June.
I couldn't sleep last night so at 3:00am I gave it up and instead went for a 3 mile walk in the neighborhood. I can't believe how hard it is for me to just walk 3 miles! I gutted it out but jeesh! just 3 years ago I was running marathons and if I hadn't broken my rib 2 years ago I probably would have run one that year!
Oh well, I'll just have to keep working on being consistent with walking, and it should get easier.
Mo, are you all definitely interested in coming up to Syracuse for the women's race? I can complete the race but I will be god-awful slow! My niece has moved out already so the guest room is available again -not that that was a problem as I would have just given you my room. *Disclaimer* -my house really is a mess, I have SO much stuff to get rid of plus the house needs a lot of work that I just can't afford to do until some of these student loans are paid off (or my house, ironically).

Deb, we are absolutely interested in coming! I already have my sons and their families lined up to cat-sit. Please do not stress about your house. I try never to put pics of my house on FB for fear of scaring people off lol. I could be alot neater. We have spent some time trying to downsize--get rid of stuff the past few years.
Do I need to go online somewhere to register for the race?
BTW, if you were considering not walking do not be afraid to just say it might work out better at another time for you for us to visit.

i almost gave away my treadmill. whew. I am so heavy I thought I could not ever again get on. nutrisystem came. I start tomorrow.
