Yesterday was tiring and tiresome. We went in to see relatives, go to the bank and visit the museum. The traffic was horrible, directions iffy and we got lost more than once. Finally, at the end of the day, most of our goals had been achieved but it was a bit stressful till they were accomplished. Today we might go shopping though I would rather just stay home and read. Ah well...need to make memories and hope we are making good ones Sooooo looking forward to being back OP soon!
Cherry: How often do you get snowed in? Do neighbors come without your having to call them? Do you have a snow blower? I know my sister bought a snowblower when she lived on a corner in Iowa and had to keep her sidewalks clear. Hope your son gets out okay.
Lynn: It must feel good to be happy to return to work. Work should be fun and interesting and not a burden!
Pam: I have not had new WW materials since...well...have not been back to the USA in 3 years so it has been some time and the last visit we could not find the WW center - it had moved. I am wondering if the plan has changed at all or much and what people are saying about SmartPoints a year after it was launched.
Beverly: I know what you mean about getting back OP. I am waiting till the 9th when my daughter leaves but am still wondering which program to get back on!

Quick check in this morning. Cathy, no changes to Smart Points. There was a new book by Oprah with recipes and wisdom. I haven't had a chance to get into it but that's on my agenda today. Contรฎnuing to track and move. Refocused and new materials to go through. Keep smiling beaches,

Good morning. My new laptop came in and yesterday Roger and I went to town, took my old one in so they could transfer my data from the old one to the new one, and now I'm using my desk top computer. It isn't as convenient to use as the laptop. The new laptop should be ready in a couple of days.
As far as getting snowed in, it depends on the winter, the amount of storms we have, and/or how much and wind blows. If it is a fairly strong wind it causes ground drifting, even when there is no snow storm, and the drifting will fill in the yard/driveway. The last several winters we haven't had much snow, so it was easy to get in and out of my yard. This winter there is lots of snow, perhaps more than a normal winter, so more potential for blocked roads. Already the ditches have filled with snow, which means more snow will stick to the road as there is no place for it to go. And when the snow plow clears the roads, it leaves snow ridges along the sides which catch the snow and let it fill in the road when the wind blows. As of right now it looks like it will be a long, hard winter.
My neighbor sometimes just comes over, if there is enough wind to generally cause drifting everywhere. Sometimes my driveway/yard will fill in more than his because of the direction of the wind. Then I let him know that I can't get out.
It is cold today, right now the temp. is -7 and was -17 overnight. Supposed to be around 20 below for the next several nights, with highs barely above zero. I may go up after the mail today, but no place else. Just going to stay inside and keep warm.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Wow, Cherry..that is cold brrrr. I guess we are all ready to be on the straight and narrow when it comes to being OP. I go today to WI as I have not since right after Thanksgiving. I look forward to getting the new material, but glad there is no change to Smartpoints because I like the program. I have not been able to get my walking in as much because my arthritis is acting up. My fitbit would not take a charge any more. I was lucky that it was still under warranty, so they are sending me a new one. Have a wonderful day all!!
