Daily Affirmation - I am inspired by the affirmations from yesterday and join you in making better food choices! Fitness Report - lunch walk; Margaret for deltoids, quads, abs and hamstrings; yoga for hip openers. Health Goal - lunch walk if weather cooperates and more weights tonight. Spiritual Goal - enjoy nature today. Gratitude - feeling back in control again. Carol your bike ride sounds wonderful!!!! Good morning to one and all.

Pat: Hope you're doing well and continuing to recover.
Cathy: You're doing great. It sounds like your kitten is being oh-so-helpful in taking you for a walk. Same here.
Carol: What a great bike ride! The bugs would keep me peddling fast!
I think I bruised a rib or two over the weekend (ouch!) and I've been laying low for the last 2 days. The discomfort is subsiding today and I am hopeful that I can get a little more gentle activity in. (Like walking.)
Daily Affirmation - The foods I choose and water I drink will fuel my body and promote good health. Fitness Goal - stroll or walk; gentle stretching; and some light foam roller-work to ease the shoulder and back. Health Goal - Keep moving, gently. Don't want to get rusty. Spiritual Goal - Quiet time to meditate (at least 15 minutes). Gratitude - For all the days when I, physically, feel great.

Hello my friends! Sorry to be so 'out there' lately, just busy, but thinking of you all.
I'm trying to pull myself out of this rut of eating too many carbs and not enough activity. My muffin tops are, well, THERE! I feel like a marshmellow lately. So, Sunday we decided to do a long bike, went to the river trails and rode 3.5 hrs straight. We got turned around and never made it to our planned destination because part of the trail was closed due to flooding. I will say, it's the first time I ever felt out of shape on a bike excursion. Hills didn't help, but we made it and at least I got some exercise! It was a beautiful day for August.
Im super busy trying to get all my work done before I leave for Portland so I don't have to work while I'm there. I want to spend every second snuggling that grandson of mine!
today's report: fitness - F, been drawing all day health - good night sleep, good food choices and lots of water gratitude - I am grateful to be so busy with work, and no air conditioning for August, which is a rarity!
Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!
