Quiet day yesterday with another expected today. Hubby is off to Beirut for PT and perhaps meetings. I will do laundry (maybe), make fig jam and tidy the kitchen. Will also write a book review and start another book.

Good Morning and afternoon, Angels from around the world.
Cathy: thank you for getting things started here today. On Wednesday's thread you mentioned Batinjin Maloub. It sounded so delicious, I had to look up recipes. I'll be trying that out, for sure!
Carol: Congrats on finishing the barre class. The only barre class I've ever done is Physique 57 DVDs and I did like them. Now that I think about it, the 'like' was more because I did it and it was a good, well-rounded workout. I do like the stretching and balance emphasis. That emphasis on balance and stability-strength serves us well as we age.
Pat: Any hives? I hope not.
The scale dipped, ever so slightly this week. I'll take it.
Enjoyed dinner and 'blind' wine-tasting with a friend last evening. I think the best part for me (besides being with my friend) was the bread I ate between tastes!
Daily Affirmation: I can only take one step at a time. Fitness Goal: Chair-dancing? Health Goal: (Mental) Address my long list of to-dos and do what I can, one at a time. Gratitude: For a fine evening, filled with laughter, with a good friend.

TGIF, Dear Ones,
Having a not so great morning, mostly due to lack of sleep, also warm and quite muggy weather this a.m.! I was unfocused at Tap class, stumbled my way through the routine she was teaching us for our last day of class….now there’s a two week break. Ambivalent about that: I need a break, I also will miss it! Anyway, it’s just two weeks. But one of those weeks my Y will also be closed for annual maintenance, so I’ll be on my own to get a workout! I hope the weather will be good for walking outside.
Boy am I cranky today. I will rest for awhile and then get some fresh air on a nice, shady trail, that usually does wonders for my mood.
Cathy - fig jam sounds yummy, especially nice it's from your own yard
Suzanne - I like what you said about "doing what I can, one at a time"....adopting it today:)

Greetings from Portland! Spending some quality snuggle time with my little babe, and haven't had much down time. Trying to cook, clean, and fit in some games in between guests and walks, and baby care. Busy vacation! Great weather here, too! We've got our eclipse glasses all ready and going out to get some mimosas and bloody mary's for the big event. We'll also be celebrating 34 years of marraige, what a day, huh? Pat, do you have hives? Cathy, I love your affirmation! Carol, hope you get a good night's sleep tonight! Hello Suzanne! Wish I could show you some of these cool plants in Portland! I tried to take a picture of a plant I think is a weed that grew to the second floor!!! My camera said my storage was full but I'll try again tomorrow!
