Nothing exciting to share - thought I would get the thread going for the weekend - No plans for this weekend but we will be going out to buy some phones (none work in the basement) and more jars for jam.
Suzanne: hooray for a dip on the scale...I was down from yesterday but not back to lowest since starting back OP Carol: Tap and other types of dancing have always intrigued me. Someday...

Good morning Angels! Yesterday was low key, I took the day off for my infusion and spent a couple hours taking online CEU tests to keep my certifications current.
Cathy, why am I not surprised that you are going shopping for more jars?
Suzanne hurrah for your scale dip!
Carol, sorry you had a grumpy day, sending some smiles your way.

I saw via Facebook that Lisa went to visit her little grandson this weekend. He is a beautiful sweet little fella!
Daily Affirmation - summer fruits give us health for the winter.
Fitness Report - Margaret for triceps, back, inner thighs and back; a sort Kundalini yoga for stretching and deep breathing.
Health Goal - eat more veggies today.
Spiritual goal - meditate before the practice gets away from me.
Gratitude - a restful day yesterday.

Carol: It was crazy-humid in these parts yesterday. I hope you made it thru the day and kept cool. So sorry to hear you have to take a 2-week break from your dance class. You are so committed to your work-outs; could you send a little of that spirit my way?
Pat: I hope you're feeling well today and are able to relax for a while. Are you still sticking with select Kundalini yoga leaders? Or do you practice on your own? Last year, I was following one you'd introduced me to but I fell out of the 'challenge' when I started having ab pain. (someone named Mariah? I bookmarked her Youtube channel and now I can't find the bookmark.)
Daily Affirmation: Treat myself with kindness (Thanks, Carol.) Fitness Goal: Try something new. Health Goal: Focus on what makes me feel better, mentally and physically. Spiritual Goal: Take some time out for moments of peace throughout my day. Gratitude: For every breath I am given.

Yesterday we bought ink for the printer, bought 24 more jam jars (used 12 and hubby used 4 so...a few left), bought phones (ours were not working - and some of the jacks in the basement are caput), went to lunch were I checked My Fitness Pal before ordering lunch - so - thinking positive BEFORE and making educated choices helped. Hubby, of course, said that if I ate using his "mindfulness" plan I could eat whatever I wanted to without thinking or regulating - uh - that is why I now weigh more than goal weight! I told him that I need to count or track or whatever for now and it works for me.
Daily Affirmation: My choice to stay OP today will impact my health and well being and eventually my weight. Fitness Goal or report: While waiting for hubby I could have read BUT I paced in front of the shop instead SO got in some activity Health Goal: Revisit the advantages for staying OP - already did it once today and will do so again at least once more Gratitude: Being able to skype with family this evening

Happy Sunday morning! Cathy - I love your affirmation for today. Yes, your good habits will affect your weight. Suzanne, I haven't used Mariya's Kundalini Lounge practices much at all. With all the things I "need" to do (weights, work on my back, regular yoga) Kundalini has been falling by the wayside. Too bad b/c it makes me feel wonderful. Mariya has a new beginners series on Youtube now if you want to check it out. Daily Affirmation - all the time I'm spending studying for CEUs will pay off in the long run. Fitness Report - it was a jam packed day but squeezed in a Classical Stretch. Health Goal - cardio today, I'm sitting and studying far too much. Spiritual Goal - meditate (done). Gratitude - Today is drier and nicer out.

Pat, I am here. The new puppy is making my life Cray-Cray! but in a wonderful way. We just finished puppy proofing a small section of the yard so I can put her outside for a bit with Alfie the Collie puppy sitting. Hooray for that!
Affirmation: I am not tired!
H & F goal: 12,000 steps plus yesterday just dealing with the puppy--more today and yoga, no matter what!
Spiritual goal: Breathe, S-L-O-W-Y......
Gratitude: The puppy, of course.

Mama-Michelle: Congratulations - a new baby in the house (4-legged); Wonderful! I can imagine it must be fun to just watch them play - and, yes, it is a lot of work! Is Alfie happy with the new baby? I've only ever had 4-legged children and I can't imagine life without them.
Pat: thanks for the reminder - Mariya. Funny, prior to the first time you and Anetta mentioned Kundalini here (well over a year ago), I had never heard of it. Now I read about Kundalini yoga regularly.
Cathy: There are some people who are lucky enough that the mindfulness approach works. Its good that you (and I) recognize it won't work for everyone (as nice as that would be for us).
Carol: Gorgeous day today, yes? Keep the skies clear for the (partial) eclipse.
Lisa: Enjoy! Are you in the path of the total eclipse, I assume?
My goals are the same as yesterday's except Fitness/Health Goals: I've decided to strap the Fitbit on and start claiming my points "burned/earned". I can eat them if I want, or not. I've not used that aspect of the WW program since last Summer so we'll see how it goes. It'll encourage me to move more and I can eat more if I want. It possible that I am not eating enough right now, even tho I'm eating my dailies and weeklies. We'll see.
