The only thing I plan to do is to attend the WW monthly meeting for lifetime members. I missed in December. I bought a lot of shelf paper yesterday to reline shelves and drawers, which is also an opportunity to organize and purge. All of my meals will be at home. Breakfast is a parfait with low-fat granola my neighbor made nonfat plain yogurt and Morello cherries 1/2 cup each and tea. Lunch will be chicken and vegetables . Dinner will be leftover chili, one piece of cornbread and a small kale salad. I'm anxious to read Oprah's new book, which came yesterday.

Good Morning All
I'm an animal nut. My favorite species are in Africa with a special affinity for the elephant. I'm especially keen on the conservation work of the Douglas-Hamilton family. Anyway, I was stoked to learn this morning that China has finally put a ban on ivory (don't even get me started) and the United Arab Emerites have finally banned exotic animals (chiefly big cats from Africa) as pets. I could go on a filthy rant but, for today, I'm going to take this as a huge win and maybe, just maybe, we can save these magnificent creatures from extinction.
B- oatmeal, ff milk, blueberries, oil L- Greek yogurt, almonds, celery stix D- chili, 1/2 baked potato S- apple, 1/2 quest bar, popcorn
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning! I had planned to go to my monthly WI meeting today and the scale jumped up this morning. We ate out last night for DGD's birthday dinner so I suspect the problem is sodium. I'm going to drink a lot of water today and hopefully get there tomorrow. I've been near my red zone since Christmas and I've struggled to get the scale to drop. I want to see the new materials just put out.
I'm meeting a friend at the movie this afternoon to see "La La Land". I've read good reviews so that should be fun.
Don't know about dinner plans yet. Something with chicken. Breakfast was almond milk, coffee and berries.
Have a good day!

Linda: Good luck with the weight (water) loss.
Doordie: Do you know about the elephant refuge in Tennessee? We had a friend that loved elephants and told us about it.
Bought some different things at the grocery store to eat this week. Need to go thought cookbooks to get some new ideas.

bbbearsmom I find the internet has great recipe ideas. I put the foods I have in the search box and get lots of hits that way. Also, check out skinnytaste for low point meals.

I'm at my monthly weigh in meeting this morning. Had cream of rice cereal for breakfast, will have soup at Panera for lunch, will try to resist goodies at this afternoon's craft group, and will have dinner out, maybe Japanese but TBD. Just got the new WW materials so will read them later.

doordie, now you're speaking my language! I support the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, they are doing amazing work in Kenya. I've been to their Nairobi Nursery 3x and each time I come away humbled at the work they're doing. They rescue baby orphaned elephants (but they'll take in any species if orphaned) and they raise and nurture them in their Nursery, and when they're about 3 years old they get transferred to one of three reintegration centers in Tsavo East or West. One center is specifically for orphans with physical disabilities, who wouldn't make it in the wild. Those that are fine, graduate to a center, where they go from being a big fish in a small pond, to a small fish in a bigger pond, where they meet older orphans and wild elephants who teach them the finer points of how to be an elephant. Eventually, when they are ready, they can leave and either join a wild herd or create their own herds with other orphans. Their success rate is amazing, and they have several graduates who have had wild born babies that they always bring by to show the Keepers at the centers. Many give birth nearby the centers because it's an extension of their family and a safe haven for them. Check them out here, where for a minimum of $50 you can become a foster parent to a baby in the Nursery www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/, or on Instagram, where they have an amazing feed, look them up there as "dswt" ( www.instagram.com/dswt/). Sorry to go on and on, but it's a subject near and dear to my heart...I used to live in Botswana, where we had the most amazing wildlife on the continent.

Good afternoon all. I got back really late last night from our fabulous week in Cayman. Lots of delays because I fly into a small airport and there was a lot of wind yesterday. Finally got home but at 1 AM. Glad to be in my own house today and I don't go back to work until Monday. I worked intensively with the new Beck book, Beck Diet Trap Solution, made a ton of reminder cards and read them every day, read my Advantages list every day (at least once a day), and was able to stay OP the whole week. On vacation. With family. In the Caribbean. A miracle... My scale at home shows a 3 lb drop for the week - WI is Saturday morning and I'm also looking forward to seeing the new materials. Not looking forward to the hordes of people that will be there Saturday morning though. The two weeks before vacation I'd had a significant gain but I know if I keep working Beck along with WW, I will continue the downward trend and be able to maintain my weight once I get back to Lifetime.
Today, I have eaten (or will eat):
B: cottage cheese, mixed berries, pecans, decaf with Fairlife milk S: light English muffin with light butter L: tossed salad, 93/7 hamburger S: yogurt and banana D: baked "fried" chicken, veggies (not sure which ones yet, bought quite a few today
Happy to be back and now a regular poster with all of you. I don't know most of your names yet, so if I want to comment on something that someone wrote, I'll have to use your ID here. Apologies.
Linda, I want to see La La Land, interested to know what you think of it.
Doordie50, I often have half a Quest bar - the whole bar often fills me up too much and sometimes I don't want to spend 4 SPs. I cut them and put the unused piece in a baggie. Wish they made smaller ones because I've found they can dry out if you don't eat them pretty soon after they're cut.
Jamescat, I hadn't heard about Oprah's new book - let me know what you think of it.

Andi -- Wow! I am in awe! You did so well on your vacation. Surrounded by a perfect storm of temptations and you held the course, as proven by the scales. WTG!
Today we are having a Christmas-card pretty day with fat fluffy snow flakes filling up the sky and covering the ground. They cancelled school today in our county so all the neighborhood kids are out sledding. We shoveled off our walk right after breakfast, and within an hour it was covered up again. I'm glad they have "shoveling snow" on the Activity List in eTools so I can get credit for it. This is our first real snow of the season, so everybody is a little ga-ga about it.
DH and I had originally planned to go to Olive Garden for lunch today to finish off a gift card we received in December. However, we aren't wanting to drive out on the big roads along with the salt trucks and snow plows. Instead we stayed in and I prepared an unplanned, but Simply Filling-friendly, lunch.
Breakfast: 2 eggs, light English muffin. All SF O Lunch: Roast veggies (butternut squash, Yukon gold potatoes, red onion chunks, red bell pepper), 3 oz ham, nf milk. All SF O Snack: Jello Instant sugar-free pudding prepared with nf milk, and a banana. 2 pts for the jello pudding powder Supper: Progresso Reduced Sodium Tomato with Parmesan Soup, light English muffin, non-fat shredded cheddar cheese. All SF O
I'm proud of this, as I don't usually do well when circumstances take me away from my pre-planned menu.

Hello everyone
This morning went to my sister's MIL funeral. It's raining.
Yesterday the designer was here and we finally together figured out the best design for the shower tile. I am a little worried it might be to busy but she is not worried at all. I saw a tile design on Pinterest. Wanted to incorporate it at my house. On back wall of shower/bathtub putting a big vertical rectangular "picture" made out of the 2" matching tiles. This will break up the travertine movement of the main tile. Will be about 30" wide and 42" heigh. Then on right shower wall will be 3 niches. Decided to not put floating shelves or niches on back wall. So the " mosaic picture" will add interest but will blend with the whole Italian look. Very romantic and simple. Looking forward to a long bath.
Cabinets are going to be installed tomorrow in master bathroom. So excited 😀😀
Still tracking. Need to cut back on carbs a little.

I had an appointment with my NP yesterday concerning my knee. It's really been hurting for the last 2 weeks even down into my shin.I knew I had osteoarthritis in my right knee but after taking x-rays she told me my knee looked nasty on x-ray.The only thing that will keep me from having a total knee replacement will be an injection of Synvisc and that is scheduled for next Thursday.I went to Curves this morning and avoided the squat machine b/c I figured it would hurt my knee more. However one of the other machines did hurt it that I wasn't expecting and I heard a loud pop in my knee. It's feeling a little better right now but I still can't completely straighten out my right leg.
B:egg/eggbeater scramble on Ole spinach tortilla with Country Crock light S:2 cups hot tea L:grilled chicken tender on tossed salad with 2 tbsp walnuts and Lite Italian dressing, raspberries for dessert D:1/2 pork chop(they are so thick DH and I have been splitting one for dinner),small tossed salad, roasted cauliflower on my new convection toaster oven(I can finally start baking again),Yoplait 100 ff protein Greek yogurt with 100 cal pouch dry roasted almonds S:Probably hard boiled egg,5 RF wheat thins if I'm still hungry.I know I will have points left.

@beckyw2016 I wonder if the "pop" you heard in your knee was the breaking of some calcification in your knee that restricted your knee movement? I've heard of others doing this with a shoulder. Hope you continue to feel okay until you can get to the doctor next Thursday. (((hugs))) decolady The design for the wall of the tub sounds nice. It will add a little variety but won't look fussy. I've seen that done in houses here and it looks very nice. I know you'll be happy to get this finished!
