So - yesterday was fun. One of the ladies did my makeup while we waited for others so I ended up with smokey eyes and darker eyebrows than usual. It was hot and humid. The meal was green salad, legume salad, casserole with chicken, potato, leeks, mushrooms and white sauce, spinach turnovers and meat turnovers (appetizer size) and ice cream/figs for dessert.
Today hubby is in Beirut so I have duck and cat chores and will read when not doing other things.

Good day, Angels: Cathy: Thank you for the creative start to our day. I love your affirmation.
I met my new doctor yesterday (last one retired). I am very happy with my choice. We talked a lot about anxiety/depression/ insomnia and it all came back to stress. (Based on our brief conversation, he's already figured out that stress and the resulting anxiety/depression/insomnia is a recurring problem for me.) So - moving forward, I am making some changes, especially in the morning (when, as I said yesterday, I choose not have to face politics) to the evening hours when its best I not watch news. The nurse in the office says she records the local news and fast-forwards past anything she chooses not to listen to. Great idea! I think having a new doctor is going to open some new alternatives for me and my health.
Daily Affirmation: I am taking steps to reducing stress in my daily life. I let go of anything I can't control myself. Fitness Goal: Keep the movement going - I know it will help stress AND sleep. Health Goal: Eat to nourish my nervous system. Identify and remove stress and anxiety factors from my life. Spiritual Goal: Get outside and soak in the sun for 15 minutes. Just 'be' with nature. Gratitude: For my new doctor and his staff.

I really do intend to post earlier, as it makes so much more sense having the affirmation in mind at the beginning of the day!
Daily Affirmation: I can focus a little better each day, I don't need to do everything perfectly all at once Fitness report: Barre class...yes, I can enjoy this challenge Health Goal: feel but don't cave in to cravings Gratitude: a safe place in which to continue my journey🌺
Suzanne - so nice to find medical pros you can relate to, I feel blessed with mine
Cathy - I like your spirit animals....will think about this some more. I know that one of my animal symbols is a bear🐻

Cathy, I thought your affirmation was interesting.
Suzanne, Not to sure about the need to even pay attention to politics unless I am going to DO SOMETHING. I admire those who are politically active. I just don't even bother to watch it or listen to it and have done this for years. My rule in regard to watching etc is that it has to leave me either feeling better or feeling the same. This definitely limits the amount spent involved in these activities. I am more along the lines of making the world a better place by spreading friendliness etc and also being a green person (hybrid vehicles, solar that provides 90% plus of all power used for our home, very large bird feeding project--as they are pollinators). I feel that I am making a definite contribution instead of just watching things I have no control over. Obviously, just my point of view but I think it works better than the other way. Just chatting.....
