Daily Affirmation: I will make choices today that will make my goals easier to achieve Fitness Goal or report: something...yet to be decided Health Goal: healthy food choices Gratitude: cooler weather and being able to sleep with AC off and windows open
Nothing exciting happening here. I hope you don't mind this thread started by me - I am up hours before all of you and used to post to the previous (for me) day's thread. If this thread belongs to someone I would hate to tread on toes...

Good morning! Wow I'm trying really hard not to get aggravated. I posted yesterday and specifically remember saying hello to everyone - and it's gone again! It has to be my error but ... well... so I'll be short today since it may evaporate again.
Thank you for starting us Cathy! You are so pretty to begin with, I bet you were smokin' with that makeup yesterday. Sounds like you had a nice lunch.
Suzanne - thank goodness you like your new doctor.
Michelle, I've quit listening to the news - but I can't help what filters through. It takes effort to not react to it all or even be scared, but I'm trying.
Carol, I hope you have a great day - and Lisa - hello out there!
Daily Affirmation - no point getting mad at a machine!
Fitness Report - nothing formal.
Health Goal - some weight training tonight and a short yoga for my back.
Spiritual Goal - book a facial for myself at a newly renovated salon in town - it's all yoga-y, peaceful and Indian themed with beautiful colors and statues of Buddha, Ganesha, etc. RELAX and PAMPER because I deserve it!
Gratitude - My haircut last night which hopefully will meet my goals over the next eight weeks.

Cathy: You did it again - a sparkling, colorful start for us - a great start to the day! Thank you. And of course - feel free to start the thread any time! No toes to be tread on here. We are happy to have you as part of our group. You mentioned cooler nights - same here! Tonight, its supposed to get down into the low 40s. BTW, the Russian Sage is waving at me thru my window again. I just waved back.
Pat: Sorry you are losing your messages. Back when the Boards were part of WWs, someone suggested composing in a word or note document then copying and pasting into this window. I, occasionally, will do that. The facial sounds like a great idea. I wish I'd thought of that!
This evening, I am hosting the first official 'Girls Nite In' for a small group of friends - something we hope to do regularly. I cannot wait. I need my girl-time and my relax-time. If I'd thought like Pat and booked a facial, it'd be the perfect day.
Michelle: I agree with you and I am The Peacemaker. And, as you, with my love of nature and animals, I am all for 'gree'n and would do anything to save a living thing. If I won the lottery, I'd have a huge piece of land out where its quiet and where I could grow my own food; I would also fund a large animal sanctuary. For now, supporting the local SPCA will have to do. BTW, when I said "politics", I should have said "news". Its the News I turn on which, as we all know, is a lot of politics. No more. As Pat says, its hard to not react to something disagreeable or alarming. Like anything, it takes practice.
Carol: Do tell: why is your spirit-animal a bear? I don't know too much about spirit animals and I always say I'm going to learn more. Congrats on attending another Barre class.
Lisa: Hope you're getting in lots of hugs for the new DGS. I envy you.
Daily Affirmation:I learn how to let stress pass like clouds in the sky and allow peace and happiness to enter. Fitness report: No report. Health Goal: Eat as healthily as possible this evening, but enjoy some treats. Spiritual Goal: Give my brain a rest - some meditating and quiet time. Good Afternoon, Dear Ones!
Cathy - enjoy your escape! My little escape is to one of the local nature preserves or parks. We’re lucky to have several nearby, a short drive away.
Suzanne - I love this somewhat autumnal weather…warm, not hot, & sunny with beautiful clouds for my hiking and a cool night for sleeping. As to the Bear....I visualized that during a meditation on chakras awhile back...actually in this guided meditation, we visualized an animal for each chakra, but I remember the bear was special to me, it was dancing joyfully! I saw strength & fierceness along with joy. I guess that's how I see myself sometimes.
Michelle - kudos for your efforts to be green. I love my hybrid car….would love to make our yard more nature-friendly. It was actually easier at Old House, which though “urban” is close to the river with trails to nearby parkland…now at DBF’s house we are near a pocket of farmland, but it is surrounded by suburbia and lots of road traffic. We see some wildlife (no mustangs, though, LOL!) but I’d like to plant more edibles for the birds etc.
Pat - I’ve lost my share of posts….sometimes it happens when I try to post while away from home using my phone or tablet…if the wifi is bad, the server times out and the post can be lost. Suzanne’s idea is helpful, i.e. compose your message on a word processor or an app and the copy/paste into the thread. More work, which is why I don’t always do it!
Daily Affirmation: I enjoy the unfolding of the day Fitness report: low impact aerobics at the Y this a.m., last class before the 10 day shutdown Health Goal: plan ahead for WI tomorrow, i.e. don’t overeat tonight! Gratitude: a beautiful day
