Good Morning
Daily Affirmation - There's an unlimited supply of goodness Fitness report - walked the river trail near Old House Health Goal - more sleep Spiritual Goal - see the bright side Gratitude - willingness to keep trying (gotta change that to "doing")
I had a really nice walk late afternoon yesterday, on my visit to Old House. Having written about it here, I walked the River Trail for about an hour, a loop from my house on the W side, across one pedestrian bridge, along the trail on the E side near the University, and back across another pedestrian bridge. Lots of birds! Saw beautiful white Egrets, which I think are nesting around here for the summer...there seemed to be a flock of them...and a Great Blue Heron fishing at the edge of the river.

Cathy: I missed your question from Friday: "When you "escape" where do you go? Beach, national park, forest, backyard or??? Thinking about the weekend and where I want to go."
For me, it'd be the beach! If I lived close to the ocean, that would be my choice. Where I am, along the local lakefront, is an option. I created my garden with the idea that it would be my own sanctuary - full of greenery and flowers. If I can keep the neighborhood quiet, its perfect. We have a visiting hummingbird, lately, which is so much fun to watch. But I LOVE the ocean! Given the opportunity, I think that's where I'd choose to live.
Girls Nite In was wonderful and I ate all my daily points, all my weekly points, plus a few extra.
Carol: I am enjoying this weather too. Mid-70s, cool breeze, sunny. Isn't it fantastic? It does really feel like Fall. I love your story about the Bear! How interesting. And that it was Dancing Bear suits you perfectly.
Michelle? Sleep. What's going on? I had a great conversation with my new doc about my own poor sleep. I hope my strides to improve it are successful. (No News - 40 hours and counting.)

Daily Affirmation: I am finding all my hidden power. Fitness Goal or report: Work in the garden and some dance or barre Health Goal: Healthy, good choices for today to offset yesterday's blitz. Spiritual Goal: Meditate. (Look for something like Carol's Chakra/animal meditation.) Gratitude: For a glorious-weather day.

Affirmation: I am gently focused.
H & F Goal: Set the timer, take some breaks during the day.
Spiritual goal: Use my new perspective.
Gratitude: Summer is going away, cooler temps will come.
Suzanne, Just puppy exhausted. Lots of ups and downs at night and much shortened sleep hours. It's getting better--hooray for that!

I love where I live. In the high desert, incredible native vegetation. I could go on and on and on and on.........

Not sure where yesterday went! It is Sunday morning and I was up with the sun...ugh! At least the windows were open and the fan blowing and I slept well - the hours I slept. In my dreams I was looking at a house I lived in when a child (in Des Moines) and was trying to figure out how to turn it into a B&B - the fact that the house was pulled down and something else built on the land played no part at all in the house still being there in my dream Nothing planned for today that I know of AND we did not go out to eat as planned yesterday-had food to cook so opted not to go out.Daily Affirmation: I am in control of my eating habits. I decide what to eat and when to eat.Fitness Goal or report: I am going to begin working on a clean-the-house-exercise program...need to figure out how to set it up then make sure I have the necessary equipment and THEN implement it.Health Goal: Again...make healthy food choices in moderation - the lower weight is what I want to reach to make my body's work easierSpiritual Goal: Focus on the positiveGrateful: For the ability to Skype with family in the USA tonight

Affirmation: I am relaxed and confident (about being able to sleep and then get back to sleep after the puppy gets up)
F & H Goal: Sleep
Spiritual goal: Working on some collages using the WW weekly from this week's meeting pertaining to happiness.
Gratitude: Strangers, such nice people!
Cathy, I consider my housekeeping and gardening as functional fitness because it is exercise and am surprised how spending five or six hours doing those activities is a work out. Good luck on your plan!
