Good morning. OMG, I am surprised there is not a school delay, so the kids walking have a chance at maybe a tad warmer walk. -11 here on my weather bug. Don't even want to know what the wind chill is.
Phyl, that big crash at Anthem must have been because it was the first business day of the new year. DH called them again yesterday, and it only took 15 minutes on hold, and a man came on the phone and helped him right away. All was fine, or so we thought...later DH talked to his nurse, from the doctor who is treating his colitis, and they are adding more pills which she was going to call into the pharmacy we use. So I tried to go on DH account online to see what the deductible is for that drug. Was not able to do anything on the site, not look up his drug coverage, or even look at his benefits. So bummed. Oh well, he will find out today, when he goes to pick up the scrips.
Marlene, you mentioned you have cramps in your leg. Do you have issues....stents? My DH has had stents put in his leg. (also his heart) He just had to go in early last year and have the area behind his knee cleaned up. Some of the things he goes thru, I am always so happy I don't have those problems.
I really don't want to stick my nose out today...we have a couple jobs to do, paperwork to close the scrip program for the year and get the paperwork to the church auditors, so maybe we will do that. DH can go get his scrips without me! Today will be a good day to make my cocoa mayonnaise cake. Then I am making a big meatloaf for dinner, and to freeze for another dinner. I went to the Y yesterday alone, since DH had tummy issues. By the time I got there, I was not in the mood anymore...so I walked for 2 miles on the treadmill, then came home. We will go tomorrow.
Time for more coffee...have a great day!

Good Morning,
It is a chilly morning! I was thinking this morning in another month we'll have only 2 more months till we move back to the trailer:) I know that can be a long time so I'm trying to shorten it. Not sure how I feel about moving back either. There are many advantages to being here - #1 being; taking care of the new BR! But I like the freedom of living in a campground setting too - hiking & a more laid back life. DH is talking more that he would really like to go south next year. Not me & I have a twinge of guilt about that!
I slept better last night. I do not have stents & don't think my problem is big enough for that. The cardiologists office has literature about that so I am aware it can be done.
I was hungry for Danish pastry with my coffee this morning but decided to make cranberry muffins instead of going out. They won't be the same but at least I'm not freezing to get them - in fact warmer with the oven going.
I'll make beef stew today. SIL hasn't wanted to eat lunch with us. That may be because he is looking at this more like a regular job where the owner doesn't feed him. I am more than happy to have him eat with us now that I have lots of food in the house:) Was very low on meat before we shopped yesterday. He's doing the plumbing work today.
My vacuum didn't seem to have good suction when I tried to clean up last night. It has a washable filter so I washed that & hope it will work right tonight. Suction at the end of the nozzle is as good as ever.
DH & SIL are going to have a warm muffin with me. BBL to read.

Karen, we don't have our prescription drug policy with Anthem - only Medicare supplement. For the meds we take, we found cheaper policies. Some of our meds are in the higher tiers & very expensive so we get them from Canada where they're cheaper than what our co-pay would be .

I am not from Wisconsin but from northern Minnesota which I suppose does make us neighbors. It was -21 this morning when I got up. Yesterday I put off running errands since I knew I would have to put gas in my car before I headed for town. It wasn't any better today but I got that done and finished my errands and now I am warming up indoors! It has been so cold my poor little Shih Tzu is having problems doing his business outdoors since he doesn't like the cold. Poor little guy! My exercise for today has been using my Wii and walking in the stores.

Marlene, how do you get meds from Canada? Do you go there? We just went thru a fight with our pharmacy, but all is good now. The thing with the scripts is it goes towards the deductible. Good to hear you don't have to worry about stents!
Gail, you are more than welcome to join us, but I do have to forewarn you...with this being a Wisconsin thread, I am quite vocal about the Packers. Otherwise we are a super (small) bunch of gals. Your temp was -21? Now that is COLD!!!
I have the venison meatloaf ready to bake, DH had to run back to town, to get his drug that they said was being rejected by the insurance. No Y today, we are planning on going tomorrow, can't wait to swim!
Have a good night everyone.

Gail, you are more then welcomed to post with us. Heck I managed to live through this football season with Karen & Phyl:) I'm more of a Vikings fan - also like Seattle but can't get most of their games. Definitely NOT a Packers - I cheer for the team that plays against the Pack. You ARE our neighbor whether in WI or MN so come on board with us.
Karen, we ordered our meds online initially. They call us about refills & will call our doctor for new prescriptions. They take MasterCard & probably others. We had to fill out a questionnaire online that gave our medical history. DH's cholesterol med is over $800.00 for 3 months here & $250 through Canada. The pills do come from India but look exactly like the US pills. Our doctors approve of us going through Canada. No our meds are not tax deductible this way but it saves us money.

Football fanatics are not a problem for me. My son in law is from Wisconsin and is a huge Packers fan. I am basically a Super Bowl fan and only because of the commercials and of course, the food. My daughter went to the University of Wisconsin Madison to become a dietitian. We are lucky that our health insurance covers our meds. I generally take the generic ones but sometimes the newer ones still cost a lot more. Thank you for the welcome. I really missed the boards from the old WW site. Connect isn't really that useful for me since I don't have a phone that works with it and computer access really limits how much I can use Connect.
