Good morning all! Whew yesterday did not go as planned - car troubles, riding in a tow truck, auto dealership troubles, a crappy loaner vehicle ... well, cars don't know when you have a healthy and fit day planned, do they? They only know how to tank out when you least expect it, or at the worst possible time. At least it happened in a parking lot and I was safe.
Lisa - your post about "fractured families" concerns me. Is your family truly fractured, or living in separate areas? A fractured family in my mind constitutes a family at odds, feuding, dysfunctional or not even speaking to each other. In any event I'm sending you hugs because I know how truly precious your family is to you. ♥
Suzanne and all - that Experience Life website is really great. A friend once gifted me with a subscription to their magazine and I enjoyed it immensely!
Sorry to cut it short but yesterday's fun has cut into my work schedule.
Daily Affirmation - S**t happens! it's how we deal with it. Fitness Goal Report - Fortunately I'd done a short yoga practice for my back in the a.m. because when I got home from the car rental place, I curled up in bed and watched reruns.
Health Goal - Just get back on track after a temporary setback.
Spiritual Goal - Remember to be thankful that my breakdown happened in a safe place, and try not to stress about expense.
Gratitude - Getting home safe. I didn't even have my cell phone with me - ran out of the office with wallet only to run a "quick" errand!

Affirmation: Life is wonderful!
H & F Goal: OP again today
Spiritual goal: Experienced a beautiful sunrise
Gratitude: This life
Carol, Those fruits are so cute!
Pat, Sorry for your car problems. Nice that you had a convenient breakdown. I have a morbid fear of my cell phone not working in these circumstances so I just leave it turned off so that it doesn't run down. Not good at all about the recharging thing.
Lisa, Claire is named after a classical music piece. I figured since I named Luna, Luna Tic and I sure had a crazy wild puppy that naming Claire something calm, serene etc would make her a 1/2 as crazy lab--so far not working. Such fun! Proud mama brags: Week 14, she does the following on command: sits, gives, takes, gets in bed, kisses (essential for maintenance of pack sanity), goes up and down the pet ramp. Teaching her to "find home", the difference between toying with items and attacking them which is necessary for the trick I am teaching her to drive DH to distraction, namely taking his baseball hat off his head. She takes mine off and plays with it now. So cute!!!! Sending you virtual hugs--just so hard. When my DB moved 2,500 miles away I felt like my heart had been ripped out. I admire so many of your characteristics--your deep love of family is one of them.

Pat, I understand what you mean. I am focusing on the fact we are all in tact mentally. It would be really easy if we didn't get along. My DS3 just made his flight arrangements to visit his girl in socal. I see how happy he is, and that does make me happy. Just not sure if this is right for him, she is young with a 5yr old boy, still living under parents roof. But... could be worse I suppose!
Michelle, thank you for the kind words. And thanks also for the belly laugh... Luna Tic! Too funny! I have a niece named Claire, which is a jumble of my parents names Carl and Elaine. I figured you must have meant the music piece, it's beautiful and makes a nice name. We had a crazy black lab growing up. I was scared to death of him, as he barked like mad and always ran out. I spent lots of time chasing him through the park near our house. I will always connect black lab to crazy because of it. Sounds like you are really enjoying the training. I love dogs only if they are well trained, don't bark, shed or lick me. LOL
I just made an amazing brunch. Bebimbap. A korean veggie dish with a nice spicy sauce. I did not make the crispy rice, trying to cut those carbs, but I am making it for dinner one night this week. So delish!
