I apologize is this has already been asked, but how do you count them? I know that ww accounts for all the blended ingredients and my smoothie today is 11 points. (Spinach, kiwi, strawberries, banana, soy milk etc) I understand the conceptĀ that theĀ ingredients are blended and if I had physically eaten all of my raw vegetables and fruit I would be much fuller. However I use them as a breakfast meal replacement or an afternoon snack. (I generally don't eat breakfast anyway so a smoothie is a better choice in my book, but it's my book. my rules, lol)
When bananas were 2 points and then became free, my leader indicated yes,Ā Ā bananas are now free but to "watch" how many you eat and if you ate a boatload of bananas you would gain weight. However she also stated that we didn't getĀ to where we areĀ today because we ate a boatload of bananas. So that thoughtĀ has stuck, I know that I didn'tĀ get to this weight by drinking a boat load ofĀ green smoothies.
So my question, does everyone count your smoothie recipes at full throttle, full speedĀ in points, or just use them as if you wereĀ making the smoothie to eat like a meal?Ā Or another formula? I'm thinking that since I'm using it as a meal replacement, that I would count my smoothies 1/2 of what the smart points should be.
Keep in mind, I'm wondering what the general consensus on this board is, not the true diehard sp wwĀ fan.

Iām not die hard. But the plan is what it is. If it says count it, then Iād count it. If not, then why bother trying to follow the plan.

True, I understand. And I have figured out why ww does not put any vegs and fruits in their smoothies so they can keep them low in points. I can do the same with my premier protein powder and just don't add the other stuff.
Just can't fathom that I can have a greasy cheese burger and fries with just about the same amount of points if I truly loaded up my smoothie with the so called good stuff. lol It's just crazy. Guess it's the same with a salad with lots of fat dressing.
Thanks for input.

I don't count anything for my green smoothies, but I also have only greens and one apple in mine...so *drawing the line*, LOL. It was one of the reasons I quit drinking a smoothie with a lot of fruit and yogurt.

Thanks ks, thinking about a green breakfast as opposed to a white one. lol I can understand the whole fruit controversy, even if I don't agree, but I TRULY did not get fat eating spinach!
