Can you believe it is September already? This month more going on in the sky. It happens on 9/23 & is called the Revelation 12 woman. It is interesting to watch God's billboard these days.
I also don't read or check on the other thread - too much malice for me.
It has been amazing to watch the news on Harvey. The people have really pulled together & exemplified the best of America. Make no mistake about it even those who protest think it is the greatest country ever or they would leave. Our president & first lady have been so great. Isn't it wonderful to have such level headed loving people in the White House? He wants to unite Americans - & we have had enough division.

Peg, thank you for starting us off for the month. I have had a lazy day and my eyes are doing very well I haven't even been following the news. I am proud of the people in Texas, they have handled this disaster very well and I knw they will have a tough road ahead of them.

Good to see the thread started for another month. I finally have both cars repaired. The Park Avenue needed to have the fuel line repaired and cost $180. Now I have an appointment to have the spring replaced in my oven door on Tuesday. Right now I have to be very careful not to let the door drop when I open the oven. I should be getting a new Nutrisystem shipment Tuesday as well - another $439 on the credit card, but I will pay it off when I get my SS in September. So a lot of expenses here lately but it should slow down after this week.
There is a sense of unity after hurricane Harvey but it will probably be fleeting especially after congress gets back to work Tuesday. We keep talking about our Republican majority - so why can't they get anything done? I say we need to get rid of the RINOs and establishment Republican obstructionists - especially traitor John McCain although his brain cancer may get him before we can vote him out, but I will vote for Kelly Ward to replace Jeff Flake in the Senate. Funny he is LDS but is very anti-Trump. I completely believe God put Trump in office to drain the cesspool at all levels of government. I loved his response in Texas.

I agree Gary. The trick is how do we get rid of rinos without handing the power over to Dems in the general. I get that some folks think what is the difference. But, we have seen how destructive they can be in a short period of time. At least right now they are not imposing new laws that are against us.

Susie, I agree - democRATS spell trouble so we don't want to increase their numbers. I wish all conservatives were truly that & we could vote the programs we need into existence. We need to redo healthcare & welfare & get the country back on track. I guess we'll have to wait a spell until all candidates are announced & then pick the conservatives.

Just hanging around the house this Labor day not doing much of anything other than getting the laundry and dishes done. I really don't care much for holidays - they disrupt my routine. Yeah, I am a creature of habit. I did get my SoClean filters replaced and put a new gel mask in my CPAP. I ordered 2 filter packs so I will only have to order SoClean supplies once a year.
I'm probably ticking off a lot of liberals on Facebook but from what I can see a lot of others agree with me. America is starting to wake up and stand up for the principles this nation was founded upon. Liberals just totally have their heads buried in the sand when it comes to President Trump. They spout the liberal line like a bunch of broken records, but then I suppose they say the same thing about us.

I have been staying home this week and doing a lot of reading. I have been following the path of hurricane Irma. My DGD and her DH live in Florida so I have been hearing from them daily. They moved into a brand new house over a year ago and all their neighbors are all living in new houses. The houses all come with metal storm shurtters and the men all got together to help each other get the shutters up. DGD and her DH decided to hit the road this morning and drive up to Georgia where his parents live. I just talked to them and they are now in Georgia but have a couple more hours still to drive. They got themselves organized early in the week so that they could get out of there if they had to. Our friend Geri who posts on this thread livres on the coast in Florida and I hope and pray that she is safe.
I have almost closed myself off from politics because there is not anything I can do but pray for this country and our leaders.
I hope you are all living where it is safe. |

Hope all are safe. We are in SW GA. Will get a lot of wind and rain depending on the track the storm stays on.
We will likely have some folks here tomorrow from the other side of the state.

When I see storms like Harvey and Irma I am glad I live in Arizona. We don't get much severe weather here but I wouldn't mind if it cooled down a bit.
I finally got my oven door fixed it was sitting in the living room for a couple days waiting for a part but he came today and put it back together. It was just a broken spring but it was quite a chore to get it back together. Then on Monday and Tuesday the street in front of my house will be resealed so I will have to park across the street in a neighbor's driveway who had to move to a nursing home in Phoenix.
I think President Trump is one of the smartest presidents we have had since Reagon. Since he is not able to get much of anything done with his own party he is working with the Democrats to get something done. Shrewd move. Maybe the Republicans will wake up. I know the 2018 elections will be an opportunity to get rid of some RINOs and vote in some conservatives. I know I will be voting for Kelli Ward against RINO Jeff Flake and I feel like John McCain may not be able to serve much longer.

Hello all, it's been a while. JAX area is flooded beyond belief...hope that GERIC is okay and checks in soon....
Had lots of things going on and have not even checked in here.
I spent a while on the phone today CANCELLING anything to do with ESPN. What in the heck is DISNEY CORP. thinking....they OWN ESPN....and they think this type of hate filled speech is okay?

It took me a while, but I was able to eliminate ANYTHING to do with ESPN while being able to retain the local sports that were important to the family.
Can you imagine if a sports commentator on ESPN had mentioned that they hate Obama because he is a race baiter and does not recognize himself as being half white so he is a "white hater" or a racist....what is wrong with this country???
So sad that some jerks decided to ruin some 9/11 memorials. Makes me want to cry.

I just need to address something I saw "elsewhere". YES, INDEED, the celebrating on a rooftop did happen in the Jersey City area on 9/11.....as did some celebrating in the streets in Passaic County in NJ. A couple of news agencies decided to employ someone to investigate these "false stories" and surprise surprise....NOT FALSE. Do a little better with your digging and stop depending on HuffPo. The "Elders" in the Passaic county area dealt with the street celebrating....and the police DID file a report for the Jersey City incident. Donald Trump mentioned this years and years ago and was lambasted for his comments...which is why some news agencies decided to dig a little deeper. Any surprise that it is very difficult to "find" their findings? YM...please post your findings on your thread after doing a little more research!!!! Seriously!
Anyone else finding Hillary's book hilarious? She's blaming everyone....except herself....for losing. She still has not caught a clue....
