Good Morning,
Thanks for celebrating with me yesterday! I do feel so much better and one of the best things is not having to shop in the plus size department any more and actually having things look nice on me when I try them on. Its going to be a cold and possible wintry mix weekend so that is always a challenge to be stuck at home and wanting comfort foods. I did go last night and stock up on plenty of healthy choices so I am prepared.
June, that veg soup and turkey sandwich does sound delicious as well as the flannel sheet snuggling. Like you, I am so thankful to have a warm comfortable home.
Bee, so much illness going around. sounds like you have a good plan to get in some vita C - hope you feel better soon.
Audrey. enjoy your weekend plans. I try and follow the ghg most days - but like you not so much dairy.
Ann, hope you are getting a good sleep:)
Susi, hope your weather is good to you all. they keep going back and forth about what is going to happen here.
Have a great day everyone!!

Again, LaDonna, congrats, congrats, CONGRATS!
Yes, indeed, not shopping in the plus size department, sure shines a more colorful light on you mentally, to me.
Enjoy your day!

LaDonna-- girl, I am like Bee j, still celebrating your achievement! So glad that she said it first, so I can tell you again how incredible you are!!! Again, wow! Transformation has it's rewards-- better health, new clothes & shoes, renewed confidence, more reasons & places to shop, more energy... enjoy each and every one of those! I get the comfort food feeling of an indoor weekend. My all vegetable soup, m/w baked apples, & speciality Early Grey are zero point are my cold weather foods/ beverages for today. Am giving my house a deeper cleaning w/ lemon Pinesol while 70s music channel is blasting "Jim Dandy," "Barracuda," and other songs that demand a few dance moves as I belt out the chorus... "ahhhhh Barracuda!" Perfect way to spend my last winter break week day.

testing... testing...
Kindle & I are fussing at each other...
WHAT: I am at the MousekeHouse and I'm providing pizza for lunch.
HOW: This is for the Mice, including MissMouse. It's a promise I made to the Mouseketeer. I will NOT have it; it's the day before weigh-in and the sodium would kill me at the scale. I WILL eat the lunch I brought with me.

Exactly June. I don't normally like to have 2 meals I didn't prepare on the same day but they are both meals that I have had many times and know the portion size and values for them. I'm glad you had a nice LONG sleep Ann. LaDonna - Again congratulations! That is an amazing achievement. Glad you are enjoying shopping! Stick to your guns MJ! Although I would be very hard pressed to avoid it as I really enjoy good pizza.

June, we had warmth with us last night. Sensing the weather was changing, Lily Belle asked to join us in bed. She likes to sleep near our heads so it is hard for me to turn but she definitely is a good cozy sleeper. Our former dog Frances snored so loud but Lily sleeps like a rock. It was 31 when I walked her this morning and 52 at the same time yesterday. A huge winter storm is moving in this evening with rain that will last through the weekend into next week. I was thinking of making beef stew as well as a soup. I read through all of the ones in Oprah's new book and there is a good vegetable soup I can adjust to what is seasonal. Ann, enjoy the vegetable soup and un decorating, which is not as fun as putting the decorations on the tree. Naomi, I hope you and Trigger stay well and the dentist figures out the cause of your aching jaw. Susi, your weekend sounds busy with lots of fun except for the memorial. I hope the roads are good when you are driving. Bee, I hope you feel better. Sounds like you have a good plan. La Donna, what a fabulous way to begin 2017! Congratulations. This woman who had the 300 point day is a tiny bundle of energy. She may be a size 2. She has been a WW since the 1970s and lost 60-70 pounds 3 times but the last time was 13 years ago. June, your answer was right. She had the fudge in the car trunk but this year had a box on the passenger seat. Next year she won't but as it was she maintained through the holidays. Her secret is she eats all her GHGs first. She drinks the 2T of healthy oil and I teased her asking if it wasn't a tequila shot. I cannot see myself drinking shots of oil but always get it in on my food. She always has her fruits and vegetables, loves milk, eats protein etc. She lives alone which helps her limit junk and she is probably close to my age so a role model for all of us. You can never be too old to get to goal and maintain. I am off to bake muffins for a meeting on Monday. It was a recipe I had on the cruise, delicious then but I promise you I will not have them now. DH can be my taste tester. At some point I have to say NO! Happy day to all.

Audrey, sounds like Lily Belle is a great bed partner.
MJ, you are so right on the sodium killer the day before WI.
The white chicken chili is delicious. I made a huge coleslaw, and split in two. One dressing is made with 1/3 cup of mayo. 1/3 cup of coconut milk, and 1/3 cup poppy seed dressing --- Brianna's. The second dressing is 1/3 cup mayo, 1/3 cup coconut milk, and 1/3 Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. I love that sauce. The ingredients in the coleslaw are fresh cabbage from a garden down the street, dried bing cherries, slivered almonds and 1/2 an apple diced small. That's all I had in my fridge that fit.
I am doing better. Managed to burn up the microwave this morning boiling water. Not sure I will replace it as I only boil water in it. I used to pop microwave popcorn in it, but have been doing the popcorn on the stove and like it better. I am almost a pioneer now ... LOL

Audrey - Charlie used to sleep with me but since I got Jack, he sleeps on the guest bed and all 3 cats sleep on the bed. As soon as I get up, he goes right under the covers. The one with the Thai Sweet Chili Sauce I am going to have to try, Bee. Sounds delicious! As for the memorial, he was 95 and lived a good life. His daughter and I grew up together. Her parents were my parents and mine were hers. Although CJ and I have become somewhat estranged over the past few years, we have been friends since we were 4.

Mj-- there are times when you know what you want at that moment, sounds like this is one of yours. You don't want to see the distort your WI. I get that. What did you bring for your lunch? Something equally enticing, I hope.
Audrey-- cute LB story. Nigel, our nephew's Huskie/Sheppard dog liked to sneak into bed w/ me any time that DH slipped out to the bathroom or kitchen. Funny thing is that I was 100% oblivious. Never even heard all the ejection tussling. Thanks Audrey for "the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey use to say. Seriously, How inspiring. Thx again. I think that the GHGs were a solid blueprint. I have been focusing more on my oils & dairy since returning from Fla. & closing the door on the "Holidaze." Makes me feel better inside & out.
Bee j- yep it definitely is a time for healthy comfort foods. Chili sounds heavenly.
Susi- so good of you to attend the memorial. Life is complicated, and relationships shift. But there is something of value in honoring those who have touched our lives. I know that I was much better about attending funerals before my twin died, Now I am much more sentimental ... I start to sniffle when I think of my parents's age and them being parted from each other & their children. And they have had a good life and at 88 3/4 are still enjoying each other's company. So it is harder to go to funerals or memorials w/o waterworks.
Susi-whenever someone says that cannot eat out & lose weight, I think of you. You make this work for you. The Susi does WW plan is a first rate successs!
lunch break over- back to cleaning, singing, and laundering. Soups was just right!

Hi girls, Well, the tree is a thing of the past. I did leave the candles in the windows as I decided that I'd like to keep them lit at night during the year. The house does look empty!
I also have my soup on! Wasn't going to do it, but I forced myself and actually it went quicker than I anticipated. Mine is also in the crock pot and I don't smell it yet either, June.
Bee hope you are feeling better. I love the ginger lemon tea as well. My favorite brand of that is Yogi.
Susi enjoy your Chinese. I agree with you. It's the darn sodium that gets me all the time!
Hugs Naomi. Hope the doctor visits go well for you.
Well, I'm going to unplug and read a bit, and probably take a nap LOL.
Enjoy the rest of you day, and C U tomorrow!

Ann, I use fresh ginger and fresh squeezed lemon. Sometimes I use a Vata tea bag, sometimes not.

Back on track with no chocolate yesterday. Definitely tracking and moving today. I can keep moving forward slowly and steadily.

I forgot to mention that the lady who had a 300 pt day eating fudge had her 10,000 steps by 3 pm yesterday and tries to work toward 20.000 step days. I received a call from the club VP saying she made a mistake and I did not have to bring refreshments Monday. Instead I need to give her my expense report and volunteer hours. I am angry that I wasted time baking but my grandson is coming for a playdate tomorrow and he can have a chocolate chip muffin after lunch. DH will be happy they are not all dispersed and I can freeze some. This woman tends to be like this all the time. Pam, good job not having chocolate and tracking.

I made it out of the MousekeHouse without succumbing to the pizza, and the crusts that I brought home are for Toots & Arnie.
And the pork roast is in the fuzzyLogic cooker, with a sweet potato in the steamer tray.
DayJob ran at dead slow this afternoon. I used the time for some Cinderella desk-work of our own. One task is roughing out the meals for next week, which will be our first non-holiday-food week (no leftovers, I don't think).

Pam- that first step is a big step! Kudos! As Ksbruns always wrote- KOKO (keep on keeping on!). No chocolate- that's huge.
Audrey- your LT friend is really dedicated! AArgh.... hard to deal w/ that looses-goosey attitude & behavior. Trust me, I know. That's a constant occurrence in my office. At least the muffins are something that can be easily frozen and will make your family happy. Still, it is annoying.
Diva-- now that is want power! Good for you! Your dinner sounds delicious. Glad that you had some free time to do some personal computing. Every now & then, a dog gets the bone!
