The Mind🗝️Body🔒Spirit🔑 connection 🔓 - emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post: Daily Affirmation Fitness Goal or report Health Goal Spiritual Goal Gratitude
Since we are contemplative...my contemplation will be about locks 🔒 and the 🗝️keys🔑 that open them...🔓

When I saw the keys I thought about "old" and "new" and then old locks and new ones and then about how to open up doors that I may have closed in the past and about opening myself to new ideas or opening my spirit AND I thought about locks and how sometimes treasures lie within if we only look inside BUT that in some cases locks are a good thing keeping bad things out. Anyway...just silliness but something to think about this morning. Oh...kind of want to draw/paint keys now Loved the comments on aging parents and finding self in a similar situation at some point in the future...hoping to avoid it but doubt I will. Daily Affirmation: My imperfections make me unique and beautiful. (found this online - it ties into my belief that I would not be who I am without passing through what I have so I would not change anything in my past or...I would not be the same me I am today). Fitness Goal or report: Gardened a bit last night while watering. Today hope to do a bit of pruning or something else in the yard or in the house...sweep or dust or something.Health Goal: Moderate healthy food choicesSpiritual Goal: Research something new that will add to my lifeGratitude: For the internet - it allows me to make friends with like minded people, find support, stay in touch with family and learn - all with a tap of the finger on a keyboard.

Happy Monday/Tuesday everyone! Sorry to be MIA all weekend - it was jam packed with catching up and a family event.
I also treated myself to a facial at a small local salon/spa. It wasn't too expensive, like a spa-spa would be, but wow! It was my first facial ever. My skin feels so clean and soft. If only it took away the wrinkles, too - but it was a big stress reliever. You don't realize how much tension you hold in your face. (This was my first one, ever.)
Daily Affirmation - I'm worth a little pampering.
Fitness Report - Kundalini yoga and power cleaning.
Health Goal - eat light tonight; ate a lot this weekend.
Spiritual Goal - yoga tonight.
Gratitude - family gatherings!

Great food for thought, Cathy! We never know...do we..what treasure we might find "around the corner". The treasure might not even be locked! I love your affirmation. And you truly are beautiful, unique, and a very good creative writer.
Pat: A facial sounds fabulous. Such a nice treat for yourself. After gym-class today, I had a long chat with some other women about the various yoga classes offered (expanded options). Can't wait to give them a try!
Daily Affirmation: I hold the key to how I feel each day. Fitness report: Cardio-strength-combo class at the gym. Done. Spiritual Goal: See affirmation - always leave the door (mind) unlocked and open for new treasures. Gratitude: For the changes of season brought forth by Mother Nature.

Cathy, I thought the comments about keys and locks were interesting. Sometimes in my life I have attempted and failed to make a certain change finally figuring out that something "out there" needed to change and I had no power to make it happen. People or circumstances or the position of the planets--something beside me needed to move to get the ball rolling (or they or it were the key that fit the lock). BTW, have you been to any museums in London--the lock and key display in one of them was so interesting. I forget which museum but the sizes and intricacies of the keys and locks and also the beauty of them was brought to mind when I read your post. Pat, Yoga for me tonight also. Suzanne, Your affirmation and spiritual goal were spot on as usual. Affirmation: Sigh.... Just breathe H & F Goal: More medical hypochondria accomplished today by going to two appointments. Two more this week. Pat, this makes me Cray-Cray! but I am doing it and doing it the best I can. Spiritual goal: Feeling in the zone at the moment. Gratitude: The dog gang. Lisa, What's Up? Carol, Waving at you Onward>>>>>>>
