The MindβBodyπ₯Spiritπ· connection π° - emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post: Daily Affirmation Fitness Goal or report Health Goal Spiritual Goal Gratitude
It is Wednesday and temptation lurks for me today - thus the emojis: coffee (real cream, sugar and such will be available), nuts/chips (usually on the table all morning), wine (bottles of the stuff) and after the meal always a dessert. What temptations do you know you will face today?

Naturelover/Pat: I remember a facial in middle school at a sleepover - homemade involving oats and honey or egg? We all looked interesting - for sure! I am sure yours was MUCH more relaxing! Suzanne: You are right that we never know what awaits us - I like to think that it will be more good than bad around the corner Michelle: I have been to some museums in London and in other countries. I have not seen the display you mentioned. I agree with you that sometimes we cannot force things into being...something, someone, the universe or??? must unlock or shift into alignment first. Everyone else...waving from afar. Daily Affirmation: Today is a perfect day for a perfect day! Fitness Goal or report: To move as much as possible between games of cards Health Goal: moderation during the day that will be filled with plenty of food and wine Spiritual Goal: Embrace the day and find good things in it Gratitude: For the friends and time we spend together on Wednesdays

Thanks to all of you for sharing inspiration and positive attitudes! You are awesome!
I've had such trouble with this sight lately. Last week 2 days posts were snapped up, then yesterday I got a message the sight was having difficulties. I tried!!!
affirmation - I will try all keys to unlock my best self! health goal - prepare some healthy soups fitness goal - functional fitness at Garden Club, walk this evening with DH gratitude - calm weather!
My heart goes out to the south and hurricane havoc! Also, to Portland folks who just lost their beautiful River Gorge Trail Hiking to some stupid teens throwing fireworks into the ravine. They suspect it will take until the end of month to contain the fires. My son is so upset, as that is his playground.
I've got 2 days worth of work to squeeze into one day. Should be interesting and challenging, I'm off!

Good day to all:
Carol: Where are you? I hope you're okay.
Cathy: Enjoy the day, your friends, and the card games. Temptations: There are some foods I just can't have around - that I've learned. I am very-much a stress-eater. Right now, there's a lot of work-stress. Here's this morning's temptation: "to forego going to the gym because I have too much to do." I could easily dig in to some non-WW-friendly food. Fortunately, I'd have to go buy it and that requires time, too, so it won't happen! The last few weeks have not been my *best* when it come to points-consumption.
Michelle: I think I know what you were saying yesterday about not always having that power to "make it happen". Not everything we'd prefer to control is in our control. I often say "everything happens for a reason." Maybe it is the planets. Or the sun. I don't know. And - about that key - maybe, its when we see the "key" dangling before us...and knowing when to grasp it? I am not a religious person in the traditional sense of the word which is why exploring my own "spiritual nature" has been such a journey for me. I thank....the stars...that I find such peace and harmony in nature and animals. Perhaps, I see them as my higher power. Or maybe its just the universe as a whole. Sigh. Just thinking out loud...
Lisa: I'm betting you're swamped as well. Hope your weather is better there than here. Looks like I'll have to turn on the heat. That first time I have to turn it on for the season is always the hardest. There's no turning back. This is WAY too early!
Pat: You haven't mentioned your allergies (food?) lately. How are you doing with that? I'm thinking back to when you have such a severe skin-reaction.
Well...I have to say, having sat here and taken the time to write this post, I've had a few minutes to evaluate what is/isn't important to some extent (rather than being hard at work).....
Daily Affirmation: I let the stress and "overwhelm" melt away with the sounds of the birds. Its melting, its melting... Fitness Goal: Go to the gym. Health Goal: Don't let others annoy me because they're doing (or NOT doing) something I can't control. Spiritual Goal: Chill. Gratitude: Having chosen to take ten minutes here and journal some thoughts! Thank you!

Hi everyone! Whew did we have some storm pass through. From my office window it looked like we were under water at midnight!
Cathy, we used to do those crazy facials when I was a kid - egg whites, wash the hair with beer (phew), etc.
Suzanne I'm sorry you're having a stressful day. Are you going to try one of the yoga classes? I've been doing well with the allergies - I've gone completely to food that comes from Mother Nature, except for my vegan protein bars which are made from food and not chemicals. I brought any remaining WW treats and the Indian food in the microwave bags to my meeting and gave them to the girls at the desks to share among themselves.
Michelle, did you enjoy your yoga last night?
Lisa - the stupidity of people to do things like that, especially when there are already natural disasters going on, blows my mind. We had a spell around here where some kids were tossing large rocks down to the highway from overpasses. Lots of people were hurt.
Today in my email I had a message from my Reiki organization inviting me to participate in a "world peace card" meditation. There is a "peace card" which I printed out. It looks kind of like a mandala with gems arranged on it. I need to figure out how one uses that. The objective is to have Reiki practitioners from around the world all meditating and praying for peace on earth within a 24 hour period with the hopes of bringing some healing to our poor planet.
Daily Affirmation - The more I work on my flexibility, the stronger I am and less pain I feel.
Fitness Report - Classical Stretch in the morning, Margaret and a short relaxing yoga in the evening, and a brief after dinner walk.
Health Goal - cardio tonight.
Spiritual Goal - read up on this peace card.
Gratitude - Not living in a weather or disaster ravaged area - sending prayers to all who are.

Lisa: Our posts crossed. The adolescent behavior of those in Portland makes me so mad. This is when I hope that there really is such a thing as bad karma. The old 'eye for an eye'. Grrrr. The destruction of nature or cruelty to animals by humans hits me very hard.
Pat: I haven't been to a yoga class yet. They are at whacky times. That's one of the problems with the gym. It really does have to tie in with my schedule. My annual gym dues is coming up due and I have to decide what to do. I've always wanted to try one of the online services (i.e. Yogaglo) instead of the gym membership. That, along with the DVDs I already own, might suit me better. Hard to know. I did really enjoy the dance class at the gym but, again, the time isn't my best.
I did manage to go to the gym today. I just worked out on my own. I wouldn't consider it to have been terribly constructive; I think that is due to my state of mind. Just one of those days when I feel like I did not accomplish a thing. That, coupled with a lots still to do, isn't sitting well with me. The 'melting' of stress and overwhelm (from earlier post) was short lived. LOL! I think some light, comedic entertainment is in order this evening!
Best, Suzanne

Cathy, Seems like those are a cup of coffee, peanut, glass of wine, cake. I'll pass on all of them and take a carrot stick instead LOL
Suzanne, I get what you are saying. Ever read any Rumi?
Pat, I find that my daily simple yoga routine does in fact work to greatly reduce pain and inflexibility also makes me more youthful. It works so well that I am motivated to do it over and over while watching TV--boo, hiss, I can feel the rotten tomatoes being flung at me. However when I log 365 days rarely missing a day (migraine days excluded) then maybe my style says something about how to get it done the American way. Just knocking it out, not expecting or wanting any type of experience. Samsara. Not too sure that I am into the Ommm experience anymore. Got tired of chasing something that is already there but not noticing.
Lisa, So sorry that something your DS really loved, appreciated and used is disappearing.
Affirmation: i am who i THINK i am.
H & F Goal: 10,061 steps wandering around doing household chores so far today.
Spiritual goal: I am in the zone.
Gratitude: Cooler temps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thoughts are things. They create reality. One day I just change. One day what was yesterday is no more. It's easy. Just look in my rear view mirror at the changes I have made in my life. No matter how long I struggle, no matter what I go through, one day it is different if I am just willing to have it so.
Onward>>>>>
