Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends.

Well, after saying I'd definitely post a second time yesterday, I never got back here. Figures. I was pretty out of it a good part of the day, hangover from all the travel, staying up super late, having to take sleep meds to fall asleep, etc. And this morning I woke up at 4 itching still from what I think is a heat rash. This usually goes away fast when I come back to temps in the 20's, but so far it's hanging on. May try for a derm appointment today if I can get one.
Only two things to do today: go to the bank to make a one-time payment on my mortgage (we got a "COLA" one-shot payment this year that is just sitting in my checking account) and to get my hair colored and trimmed at noon. Not too taxing a plan, right? And maybe the dermatologist. I'll definitely need a nap this afternoon after getting up so early.
While I'm OP and doing fine, I'm not getting to the gym at all. I am telling myself that maybe it's best to work on one thing at a time, and for right now breaking the dreaded 3-week marker for me is the only priority I need to work on? I know it would be preferable to eat well AND go to the gym but it's just not happening. I was pretty active in Cayman and i'd hoped to build on that when I return home but the cold and dark are doing their usual number on my motivation. I know people can reach their goal weights without working out so it should be possible weight-wise for me, but for my overall health I know I need to be active. Ugh.
Jana, thanks for the update on the PS. So sorry that insurance won't cover the whole thing. After all your hard work it would be so nice (and better than nice) to get that skin off but $15,000 is a huge amount to come out of your pocket. Maybe your insurance company will come through, haha. One can hope.
Robin, we have a dusting of snow this morning, but I don't think this storm is supposed to amount to anything for us. Hate the frigid temps that are due to follow though.
Have a great day, all.

So far no snow for us! Yay! I really hope it holds off. I called the driving school and they will have driving school regardless tomorrow morning. I just don't want to get 45 min. from home at 8 a.m. and it be fine but get out of driving school at 5 and I am stuck because my little Lola doesn't want to go in 7 inches of snow. So I will play it by ear in the morning.
I am really ok with the information from the PS. It was a fact finding mission at this point. It will happen just not this year. I know what I need to work toward.
BBL.

Good morning everyone -
Andi - I'm glad you got home safely. Sorry for the delay and heat rash. I still think a loss like that after vacation is great!
Jana - I hope you all aren't too badly hit by the snow. I know your area is expecting a lot.
We're expecting anywhere from 1-4 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Even though I don't really want to, I may go out after work to swing by the grocery store. I'm still planning to go to weigh in and all in the morning but it doesn't take much around here for things to shut down. So if WW is closed in the morning I want to feel like I have good options at home.
Gosh I'm sleepy. My sleep schedule got all messed up during my time off - Andi I can relate to you! Last night I started reading Year of Yes (Shonda Rhimes) which seems like it'll be an easy read but I got really sleepy while reading. I made another change with how I wake up starting yesterday morning. I have (embarrassingly) been using something like 4 separate alarms to wake up. I have an alarm clock that not only makes noise but gradually turns on a bright light. I also was using an app on my iPad, the silent alarm on my fitbit, AND a back up alarm on my iPhone. So before break I was finding myself hitting snooze several times and staying in bed an hour later than I should have. So now I'm just using the fitbit alarm and my regular alarm clock - forcing me to get up and remain standing. I'm hoping that when I can be a little more alert, I will start doing some walking first thing.
Anyway - I hope everyone has a good Friday. I'm ready for the weekend even though I've only been working 2 days. Hahaa - such a rough life!

Andi, sorry you ended up with a rash, not the best way to come home. Did you try cortisone cream or benadryl? I know our dermatologist is impossible to get an appointment with. I was actually just thinking that if I want one for March, I should call now to make it.
Susie, read your last night' post, glad your dinner worked out so well.
Amanda, oh, to be young again and have a problem waking up. I used to not have a problem sleeping until 11 am. That is not happening again in my life. I wanted to read that Shonda Rhimes book, I figured it would be good. Sometimes reading is a good way to get to sleep for me.
Jana, hope that everything works out tomorrow with the driving school so you can get that out of the way.
We also only had a dusting of snow, less than an inch. It looks like the sun is starting to come out now. When I walked the dog I couldn't tell whether the streets had been salted, or the snow just melted on them because the ground was warm enough. It's only 28 degrees now, but nothing is icy. We're supposed to have more snow flurries tomorrow, but then there is another thing on the weather channel page that stays more snow coming to the northeast, so who knows. DH has to fly to Florida for a conference Sunday, so hope the weather is clear for that. My sister is coming out today to have dinner with me and my mother. I don't think DH will be back from an appointment he has in the city to go with us, so I have to figure out what to get to leave for him.

Hello friends,
Well I'm still at work, they haven't officially closed the office yet so I'm just waiting to get the word. A couple of people in my group have already left, but they live further and unlike me, they are actually driving toward the weather. Luckily I'm on the East side of town, so while I shouldn't hit bad weather, the longer I wait the worse the traffic will be. DHs company cut them all loose at noon. I don't know why my company always waits until the last possible second to tell us we can go. It's kind of frustrating in situations like this.
Our stores got slammed with business yesterday and today. We've already working on recovery with scheduling extra trucks to ready to dispatch as soon as the roads clear to get them back in business with product.
Next week will be the first time I've ever been off following as major weather event - so won't be very involved in the aftermath. I can't say I'll miss it. Lol
I should have plenty of time to check in after I get home and over the following week. I'm really looking forward to this vacation.
Oh...and just to prove how CRAZY our weather is, tomorrow night we're down to 15 degrees, and next Thursday it's supposed to back up to 61. NUTS!

Lora, your weather is really crazy! As the director of an agency who has to make the decision about office closings, I can tell you how difficult it is to do. I've closed offices and then there's been no snow at all. And i've left offices open after I should have closed them so people ended up driving home in the worst of the weather. I try to rely on the Weather Service but as we know, they can be really inaccurate. But sometimes they're right on target. You just never know which it will be. Hope you get home safely.
I didn't do much today. Am making roasted pork tenderloins in my Instant Pot (using it as a slow cooker) with a recipe I found online - components are soy sauce, honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, chicken broth and lots of herbs. We'll see how it comes out but it smells really good. I am in need of comfort food. Went to the supermarket to pick up some ingredients for an unstuffed cabbage soup I got off the Laaloosh website so I'm pretty set until the middle of next week. Then I got my hair cut and colored, am trying to grow it out a bit, not sure how far I'll get with that because I hate those in-between stages and I want to look professional. Now home hopefully for the rest of the day except to go out and buy Benadryl which I'll take at night. Didn't call the derm, just don't feel like it. Hope I don't regret it. I do have some prescription cortisone ointment so am trying that for the itch.
Just got an order of Quest bars from Amazon. I've been eating half at a time for 2 points - very filling and satisfying, especially with a piece of fruit.
WI tomorrow morning. Have any of you been to meetings this week? How crowded are they? I think most of our group is no longer doing WW, right? I know Susie is but not sure who else.

RobinS - sleeping in for me usually doesn't go past 9. Most weekends I'm up by 8 if I don't set an alarm. I've had a hard time sleeping til 11 am or noon. Crazy to hear students talk about sleeping til 1-2 pm. The latest I ever slept as a teenager was like 11:30 am and it was the day after prom when I'd stayed at teh school-sponsored after prom until 5 am or something like that.
Andi that recipe sounds good - I'm actually trying to come up with an idea of something to make that I want to eat tomorrow in the snow. I'm having trouble finding a recipe I want to try!

Hi ROs... DH had an early PT session this morning so I didn't get to the gym. I overdid it with wine and dinner last night when DNs came, but I am back OP today. It is so c-c-cold and only going to get worse. Fortunately, I got an email from neighbors saying that they will come with their snowblower to clean my driveway after the snow tomorrow - how wonderful!
Andi - I think it is best if you concentrate on the food issue right now...you can definitely lose without exercise. I know you will want to get back to it, but don't stress yourself if it will put you over the edge worrying about trying to find the time/energy to fit it into your schedule! Yes, the snowstorm that is supposed to come is staying more to the south...not even supposed to go much further north than Richmond. You guys deserve a break this time. But, oh my, the cold...it is supposed to be 9 degrees here on Monday, so who knows what that will be with the wind chill factor.
Jana - looks like the snow is definitely coming...supposed to start around midnight. I don't think you will be going to driving school in the morning.
Amanda - whenever I read, I get sleepy. I read when I want to take a nap - ha. I guess that is why I like to read at the gym on the bike - can't fall asleep while you are riding a bike!
Robin - just read what you said about reading being a good way for you to get to sleep...yep, that would be both of us. Have fun at dinner with your DS and DM tonight.
Ok... I am going out to the shed and get a snow shovel to bring into the garage. I have already parked one car down on the street (we have a long, steep driveway). We don't have to go anywhere tomorrow or Sunday, but I hope we can get out for PT on Monday morning.

I'm finally home. It took me an hour to make the 17 mile trek - the roads were fine, it's just raining on this side of town at the moment but traffic was very heavy. Luckily I don't have to use the interstates, but I do cross over I-285 which is the loop that circles Atlanta - it was jam packed and barely creeping in both directions. I feel so bad for those people.
Andi - I finally located all the other flavors of Quest bars and have decided that the cookie dough, s'mores and mint chip are my favorites. I eat them for either my breakfast with coffee or for an afternoon snack. I'm so glad that you and Jana got me turned on to them! I know the decision of "when to close" can be tenuous. It just seems that my place ALWAYS waits too late to make the call. I hope your itchy rash clears up quickly. How maddening that can be.
I think I'm going to make some coffee. BBL

It isn't snowing here yet but boss let offa little early because I actually needed a few things from the grocery store. It was busy but not horrible.
If there is snow on the ground when I wake up tomorrow I will not go to driving school and will reschedule for next weekend. I'm not so worried about getting there, just more concerned about getting home afterwards.
Will be making chili at some point this weekend- also got a roast as well in case I change my mind.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Glad our southern ROs all made it home safe and sound. Enjoy your time at home! I always love snow days, or even Christmas for me, when there is absolutely no place to go and I can just luxuriate in being home. The roast pork tenderloin came out really good although it seems to go from dry to stringy in no time at all. Still, the sauce is delicious and I had it with roasted cauliflower and broccoli. Nice on a cold night. Brrr, Susie, 9 degrees? I better check what it's going to be here. It's January, after all... Thanks for the sympathy on the itching, Lora. It's really aggravating. 9 degrees ought to fix it though, lol. Amanda, in case you want to make the recipe, here's the link: www.gonnawantseconds.com/2015/05/best-crock-pot-pork-tenderloin/Have a good night all.

Interesting that you southern ladies are more worried about the snow than we are up north. I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow. Some reports say that it will snow all day, others show that my area will miss it, and it will stay south of us. Who knows, not sure if even the weather experts do any more.
Andi, glad your pork tenderloin worked out. It's great that you cook for yourself, and I know Amanda does too. I have 2 Blue Apron meals that I didn't cook. I put the cod into the freezer right away, the chicken just came. I decided I will make them when DH is out of town, and will divide into 2 meals. Neither of them happen to be high in points.
I came home and tracked my dinner. I had a very low point day until then, but boy do they add up easily. I couldn't believe that a dinner roll is 5 points. I had a glass of wine. However, I had halibut, which is very low in points, so that balanced it out. I used a few of my weeklies. I could have managed very nicely without sharing some of the burrata my sister ordered, but that wasn't even too bad. A real eye opener though when you keep track.
