Yesterday my daughter and I thought a small room to clean would take an hour max...5 hours later we said, enough. Not EVERYTHING got done but most of it did including going through closets and cupboards and such. Two more days with her and she returns to the USA. We stayed up WAY too late going through jewelry and such BUT hopefully can relax some today and tomorrow.
Cherry: Brrr...sounds COLD where you live!
Beverly: Blue Apron sounds like something my sister was given one time. She enjoys the process of shopping and such and is not working so did not sign up for it but did find it an intriguing idea. I agree that putting Christmas away is a lot of work!
Lynn: Your soup sounds scrumptious! Hope you enjoyed your day off!
Pam: My first day back OP will be Monday or Tuesday. My daughter leaves early Monday morning. Glad you made it to the game!

Good morning, beaches. It has been cold where I live, and this year colder with more snow than usual. It was 28 below this morning! There is a wind chill advisory too, but at the moment there is not a breath of air stirring. The sun is up now, but earlier it was very pretty outside, with lots of pure white snow and a pink sky from the sunrise.
Today I'm going to make a pot of soup with some broth and chicken bits from a rotisserie chicken carcass. Not sure what all I'll add to the soup; carrots, onion, celery, spices, probably some canned beans, and maybe some cabbage. I'm also going to put away some the the Christmas decorations, but I think I'll leave some that are wintry looking but not Christmasy. Later this afternoon I'm going to venture out into the cold and go to town for Mass. It won't be quite as cold as it is this morning, the high is supposed to be around 0.
Have a good day, whether it is cold where you live or not.

Wow, I guess I can't complain about 22 degrees!! We will have some snow later, maybe 6 inches, so I will hunker down and take down my Christmas decorations and do laundry. Cathy I am so glad you are having a lovely visit, but I am sure becoming OP again will make you feel good.
Have a great day all!!
Oh I did WI and gained 2.2 since before Thanksgiving. I am working to get that off....

Temps going up to the 30's. I'm not venturing out of the house. Will continue work on putting away Christmas and finishing Mom's calendar. I am planning on making a pot of veggie soup and focusing on OP foods. Have a great day beaches.

We actually have snow & ice here in Middle TN!!! It has been very cold the last couple of days, of course they are predicting up to 60 by mid-week. The weather is crazy. Nothing going on today, DD is in Hawaii, so I am having to take care of her cats, just came back from feeding them. Her drive way is icy. We will venture out to Mass this afternoon. I have chicken in the crock pot for dinner. also, some tiny potatoes & green beans. Tomorrow, I will try another one of the Blue Apron meals, one of the meals is avocado burgers, think I will try that tomorrow. Everyone have a great weekend, stay safe, warm & dry.
