Our WW center has 2 mtgs. on Saturday mornings - 8 am and 9:30 am. Both are very well attended, and I would guess they are probably some of the biggest mtgs. they have. They were closed Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve - I get that. So I assumed they would be open this morning and packed.
We had some freezing precipitation Thursday night, so things were kind of dicey driving to work Friday morning, but things got better as the day wore on. This morning it was still freezing cold, and with the exception of the street I live on (several icy patches), it was clear sailing on the main roads. No cars were in the WW parking lot (not a good sign). I drove up to the door and saw the closed sign. As I was pulling out another car pulled in and I told the guy no one was home.
I made a written commitment to myself in my journal to weigh in at WW this morning. I don't have a scale at home and I need the accountability. Next week is going to be absolute bedlam.
Just venting....

That truly sucks. It will be a mob scene next week for sure!! My noon Friday meeting had 3 receptionists and a line out the door.
Our Saturday center has 3 meetings 8,9:30 and 11. They were open both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

What pbnj said. I thought they were only closed on Christmas Day? That really stinks Roz!

That really stinks. I'd be so mad if I got up and made the effort to get to the meeting and it was closed.
Hope you can go next week and have a great weigh in!

squid are the meetings still showing up on the online meeting listings? Maybe they closed the Saturday meetings down, which makes no sense if the meetings were well attended, but I'm not sure why it would be closed today either, odd.

The Sat. mtgs. are showing up online, on the recorded message, and the posted sign on the door. I'm a former Leader, so I know that when mtgs. are closed 2 or more wks. in a row, you lose members. Those members who didn't want to face the scale anyway or who think they aren't doing very well will use any excurse not to come back.

You must go to a franchise location. Regular WW meetings were held on both Eves, only closed on "the day of." Our TMs in this locale urge staff to drive in during blizzards. They were in there during a hurricane once, could only weigh people and send them home because the power was out.

That's upsetting. Sorry that you had that experience.

Not sure if you guys have it, but there USED to be a feature here with the 'meeting finder' part of the App. When you selected the location you wanted, it would come up with the times as well as any additional notes (like if there's a rear door or entry via a certain street etc). They used to mention opening times during holiday seasons (eg. Easter and Xmas), but I haven't seen anything posted to that effect for ages. I know many got caught out between Xmas and New Year this year and have vented on Connect.

IME, the official WW site is sometimes not updated as frequently as it should be (shocking, I know). I would call the center to get the correct info.
