Can't believe no one is up yet this morning! Everyone must be sleeping in on this cold morning! 25 degrees here in Houston but we're supposed to start warming up today. Predictions of 75 by Wednesday so winter is a shorter season in Texas!
I've already gone for my 2 mile walk. Settling in with coffee and starting the day.

Linda, you walked in 25 degrees, I'm impressed. It was 40 yesterday, damp and and I chickened out! Even DH who lives the cold thinks it is cold! We must be Floridians now. I've already done 2 loads of laundry and made breakfast with an extra serving for later in the week. Church, hair cut,a few groceries and going to a documentary film about Bobby Bowden who was the FSU football coach for 32 years (doesn't happen now!). It will be a live simulcast with the coach. Should be fun!

lmenglish Oh, Linda, I forgot to mention that my daily 2 mile walk is always at our mall! We drive there every day to get our walk in. There are lots of people that walk early in the mall before it opens. We might be able to handle an outside walk in the winter but there is no way I'd do that in the summertime heat and humidity of Houston!

Morning!
17 chilly degrees here. Lots of tell-tale deer signs by the bird feeders in the snow this morning. I guess they'll be nibbling at my arborvitaes next ugh. Just once I'd like to see a Bigfoot lol
Have a great day all!

We ended up having a serious snow yesterday, and it's below freezing, but the sun is shining brightly. I'm about to drive Leia to Salem for her final grooming there and *telling myself* all will be well. Being in the car is NOT her forte, so hopefully, she won't have to walk home, LOL. lmenglish Brady was an FSU fanatic growing up, I certainly remember Bobby Bowden! linda72 There was a very small window of weather that I could stand being outdoors in the South...January was like NE Fall, and I took full advantage.

No walking outdoors here until the driveway and sidewalks are cleared. We're waiting for it to warm up to at least 20 before heading out to clear yesterdays 6" of snow. Ugh!! Nice sunshine though and enjoying watching all the birds at my feeder (I went out mid-storm yesterday and refilled them--darn squirrels had emptied everything the day before. The squirrel will not be sticking his nose out until it's a bit warmer!!)
Feeling frustrated this morning !! Had a craving for FrenchToast and made my pointfriendly ones EXCEPT I grabbed hubby's syrup instead of mine. Ugh! 6SP's instead of 1--just for the syrup! Bummer!!

Hi All...Good Sunday! Woke a little later to 10 degrees outside. No outside walking for me. I was planning on indoor things anyway. Laundry, breakfast, some online ordering that I needed to do and a phone call. The morning is sailing away.
The good news here is that it is sunny. Our few inches of snow has left black ice and some frozen places so who knows if it will go away. Having grown up in the north it is hard to still understand how much does not get cleared here.
Had a little excitement with two unruly dogs across the street jumping a fence and going after a dog on leash. Had to run outside to a screaming girl. A neighbor saw all but no one knows who the attacked dog and girl are and if they are okay. She took off running. The neighbor with the dogs that got lose is not always responsible for their behavior. I was so thankful that Corey was not still here because we would have been out there too. My pup was always with me and under control but he would not have tolerated two dogs coming at him. We have very serious leash laws here thank goodness but it just takes one.
I hope all is okay with the girl and her dog.

I'm IN.
I hope that girl and her dog were "just scared" - not that THAT isn't bad enough!
It's 19*-feels-like-5* here, and I am trying to convince Toots that there is NO reason to go outside (but he wants his Sunday Steak Dinner - a "normal" part of a "normal" weekend, LOL).
Yesterday was the Best*Day*EVER - despite the snow, Son#2 had a full house at The Plantation for the Cousins' Christmas Extravaganza. And thanks to Skype, DBabySis and the cousin in upstate NY (Ancram) were able to "attend" too.
So... the hollyDAZE are officially over for the KressMess. We'll take down the tree and the window garland today and tuck away the tinsel and treasures. It's been a great season.
Have a healthy-eating day, all!
PS: We got all-new WW materials yesterday. And we also had two WW "big wigs" at the meeting. <ai-yi-yi>.

Black ice is always my fear in weather like this, but the sun is out so we should get back from Salem okay and well before dark.

Cold morning here too - it was 7 when I woke up. But the sun was shining and the snow was actually pretty. I don't mind it the first day and then it can disappear! It's supposed to be in the 50s later this week so lots should melt.
I shoveled instead of going to the gym and later I'll go grocery shopping and make soup and lasagna for later this week.
Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm!
