We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Just getting us started, and I'll check back later. Clearly this JA is determined to destroy healthcare in America.

He is a total idiot! It is so embarrassing for the rest of the world to see us with this buffoon. The embarrassment would be bad enough, but the fact that he is so dangerous is really just beyond comprehension. He is determined to destroy everything that President Obama achieved. He's like Sherman marching through Georgia. Everywhere you look all you can see is flames.

"It is so embarrassing for the rest of the world to see us with this buffoon."
I just saw something on TV about the Moon landing. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. It still gives me goose bumps to see that one small step. I was so proud of my country back then. Most of the world cheered us on and marveled at our accomplishment. We were ready, willing, and able to do even greater things.
That was then. This is now.

Just stopping to say hello. DH and I are going to a local craft fair as it's a beautiful day here. Actually, they call it an artisan fair which I am assuming is just a fancy way of saying a craft fair. LOL! Anyway, it is a beautiful day, and I refuse to allow the JA/FM in the WH to ruin it for me. My mom and dad are both doing better than they have in a long time, and I am going to enjoy the moment. (Looking around for a place to knock on wood!)

Joyce, I hope you have a wonderful day. You deserve it so much! It's funny you should mention knocking on wood. Yesterday was Friday the 13th and someone in another chat room asked if anybody was superstitious. Knocking on wood is one of the most popular superstitions around the world! Who knew? Here's the link. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knocking_on_woodKnock, knock!

Thank you, Chelsea! I'm a Clinton fan. I love each and every one of them. I even loved their cat Socks and their dog Buddy. lol. Are they perfect? Nope. I don't know of one human being that is. However, they're thoughtful, compassionate, intelligent, wise, patriots, imho of course. They seem to really listen to the needs and opinions of others and try to make the lives of people a little better. They want to build others up instead of tearing them down. Again, only my opinion.
They're ambitious without being obnoxious.
They all seem to have a sense of humor, a sincere smile, and a contagious laugh.
Chelsea, you go!

Agreed, Chelsea is turning out to be intelligent, funny, and unafraid to speak out on issues that matter. I agree with Pat about the Clintons. I like them all, although I agree they are far from perfect, but as Pat said nobody is perfect. When you average their flaws with their good qualities, the good qualities come out far ahead. I only wish we could say that about those occupying the WH now. As for Chelsea, some people can say all the nasty things they want about Bill and Hillary, but they're hard pressed to find fault with the way they raised Chelsea. She has turned out well.

Remember all those complaints from Republicans that President Obama was signing too many executive orders? In fact, remember all that false rhetoric from the JA about it? Well, since January 20 the JA has already signed 49 executive orders. He's not even a full 10 months into his term and he has signed far more than any President since Lyndon Johnson, AND he has a Republican House and Senate. Just the typical hypocrisy coming from the right. Nothing new.

~~~~~~Waving HI ~~~~~~ Been in a funk all weekend. Trying to shake it off. I need to get my hands busy with a craft project I think. Right now, not sure what I want to do. Will mull it over several cups of tea & some binge watching something on iPad...LOL
Hope you had a fun day at the craft fair, Joyce. We don't have as many around here like we used to. Thinking everyone is too busy for crafts or just that younger people aren't that interested in crafts like we were in the day... I used to belong to a hobby club for many years but then they kind of died off. The latest craze in crafts the last few years was making beaded jewelry, but, I think so many were doing it, it just wasn't cost effective to try selling it at craft fairs since there were so many booths/ tables with jewelry.
The one craft I used to love doing was macrame ...I still have several hanging plant holders left from the time I did that. The one thing I regret is not learning how to crochet. Mom tried teaching me, but I was more interested in crosstitch & needlepoint at the time. She used to take the old fashioned hanging glass Christmas balls & crochet the daintiest white covers for them & the colors of the balls would shine thru. She supplied the whole family with enough ornaments to remember her every Christmas ...
Ok, rambled on enough. Just can't handle the everyday crap on the news lately. So won't even go there. Evidently, the powers that be don't care enough to take care of the problem in the WH, Just so tired of fretting & fuming about it. JA is so not worth stealing the Joy from me or anyone, so trying to change that!
Enjoy your Sunday!
Linda, back in the day I used to enjoy macrame too, and made my share of wall hangings, plant holders, etc. One of the booths at the craft fair yesterday was a macrame booth which kind of surprised me as I didn't know anyone was still doing that. It brought back memories. Overall though the craft fair was a disappointment. There were only about 15 booths, and none of them had anything that grabbed my interest. Maybe you're right that people just aren't into crafts so much any more. I know I haven't done any in years, but I think if I could find the time I'd enjoy getting back into it. There was one pottery booth that had some nice items. Pottery isn't something that would interest me to do myself, but I enjoy seeing other people's work.
Yes, I agree that the JA/FM is completely beyond redemption and not worth letting him steal any joy from the day although he does try very hard to keep everyone miserable. For the most part, I don't even see people posting any good comments about him on FB anymore although there are a few. I think all but his most ardent, brain washed supporters are just sick of him and wishing they had their vote back. Too late now.
