So how are we doing in the second week of January? Let's give ourselves credit for resisting even the smallest things that might throw us off track

Ate dinner at home all last week and only ate dinner out once over the weekend (just Friday). That's a big one for us since we used to eat out every night. And sometimes double on weekends as we would do lunch and dinner on Sat and Sunday!. We only did dinner on friday and lunch on Sat and Sunday.
I ate home last night and did NOT have a glass of whiskey even thought it was a rough day and really wanted one. I rested and went to bed. Saved those points for another day.

After the dentist I went to the grocery store and just had to keep telling myself "do not go near the bakery section"& I didn't. Home now & you couldn't blast me out of the house now. Damn, it's cold!

I failed yesterday after sitting through a webinar that was very frustrating, I got into the chocolate covered popcorn. That same popcorn is in the lunch room and I have resisted so far but there are still 2.5 hours to fall down again!

All I can say is thank goodness for 0 point fruits and vegetables. It has been so cold this past week, mixed with freezing rain and snow. You know, the type of weather where you are home for long periods, cooking something warm and comforting I've managed to do ok but I have probably over did it with the fruits and oven roasted vegs, 0 point soup, etc. There are worse things, right?

my work is ordering us takeout on friday and again on sunday because we have to work both those evenings so i'm doing my best to keep it together so that i only have a few high point days of the week instead of all high point days!

I went to Walmart this afternoon to buy a gallon of skim milk. Of course the skim milk is in the very back of the store. While going to the back of the store, and then back up front to the cash registers, I lovingly picked up and put down a package of day-old frosted brownies, a pint of ice cream, an individually packaged cupcake, and a package of Archway cookies. I finally walked out of the store with just the gallon of milk.

Yesterday I ate lunch at a local place that has free peanuts and popcorn in the bar while you wait and I didn't eat any. And that popcorn smelled pretty damn good, especially when I was starving.

OK, I fell off the wagon! Got extremely tired today and broke into the chocolate covered pretzels that someone opened. Then I was alone for supper and I got into crackers and dill dip, then I made a plate of nachos with cheese, salsa and sour cream. At least it was low fat sour cream! I track it all down even thought I don't have points. I wrote the food and for points. Back on the wagon tomorrow. I think early bed time tomorrow.
