The Mind ☯ Body ☯ Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

affirmation - Every action I make adds value to my life health goal - be mindful of my choices fitness goal - 1 hr mixed and focused fitness gratitude - my winter wonderland decor to get me through the next few months I'm hosting Niece's baby shower this Sunday. The theme she requested was Peter Rabbit, Woods and Roses. I know, not your typical baby shower. So I put 3 of my skinny trees by the fireplace and it looks like a snowy woods. So fun! Last night we watched a documentary called The Minimalist. Very interesting! The two guys that wrote the book talk about getting rid of anything that doesn't bring value to their lives. This really gets me thinking. I spent the whole day taking down holiday decor and on one hand I feel ridiculous for the amount of 'stuff' I've accumulated over the years. On the other hand, it really does give my great pleasure to decorate and make everything so festive. Is creating a feeling valuable?

Good Evening, dear Angels!
Lisa, thanks for the start-up today. What network was The Minimalist on? That's sounds like something I should watch. If I become emotionally attached to something, I have a hard time getting rid of it. You are such the hostess and entertainer. My goodness! I love the Peter Rabbit theme - such a classic.
Pat, I hope your office-neighbor ceased her cackling. I did yoga the morning, laying next to some women sucking on something (a cough drop?). It was SO annoying! LOL. I mean you're laying there, trying to chill out. Then she'd cough and I'd be like, "oh - geez - don't breath, Suzanne. She's got some cold or flu." I was not my most-patient, sympathetic self in those moments.
Prior to yoga, I tried the Dance Cardio class that started at 8:30. It was with the instructor I like. OMG! It was fun and I am exhausted. I thought the class was 30 minutes. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it was 9:05...9:10...and we were starting in on our next dance. And, yup, we went to 9:30. Tomorrow will be my rest day.....I think. Late this afternoon, I thought I’d try some kind of energizing meditation…..I fell asleep. LOL.
I did listen to another mediation that I liked and thought you all might as well. "Awakening Your Inner Guide" ("Our intuition is the purest resource for gathering all of the wisdom and answers we seek".) by Sabrina Heartsong. If you don't use the Insight Time Meditation App, you can listen to it online at insighttimer.com/sabrinaheartsong/guided-meditations/awakening-your-inner-guide
Daily Affirmation: I will learn to tap into my intuition. Fitness report: As above, one hour dance class, one hour restorative yoga Health Goal: be mindful of my choices (thanks, Lisa) Gratitude: That its almost bedtime (a few hours away).
Waves and good cheer to Anetta, Michelle, Carol, Pam, and anyone else who saunters by.
Suzanne

Pat, I know it's not funny, but your affirmation really lightened up my day. Lisa, Not to sure I want to give up materialism since I have a black belt in shopping. However I let go of truckload after truckload of stuff this summer. I could not believe how much was simply not necessary anymore. This gave me a feeling of incredible lightness. Also let go of end tables, coffee tables, big sofa etc to create a wonderful feeling of spaciousness in my world. This was what I needed to do. The process had some significant benefits since I learned so much about myself that for me it was a spiritually advancing experience. Having said all that. I love!!! being an American with all the bells and whistles. Affirmation: Somewhere over the rainbow..... Goal: ? Working on taking care of business in regard to the aftermath of the deluge of water. DH is home today so we are making lemonade out of that mountain of lemons! Gratitude: 10 minutes of sunshine today!!! Onward>>>>>>>>>>>>>
