Need to go to town to get more paint. I will be able to give that new gate a second coat of paint tomorrow. It will be my last chance for warm weather since the high is supposed to be 70.
Trying to get to town as early as I can.
Lots to do and I am going to get it done!

Just got back home this afternoon from Mom's, then we spend one night at the cabin. It is always so relaxing there!
I hope you were able to get the coat of paint on the gate and your other chores done you wished. How was Thanksgiving day? Did you cook a turkey? Mom cooks the turkey, stuffing and gravy. I brought salad, rolls and sparkling cider. I peel the potatoes, nephew mashed them, we lift the turkey in and/out of oven, but mom is in charge of cooking/basting. My cousin carved it and everyone made GREAT desserts. There were 4 pies, 1 almond torte and maple shortbread cookies. It was fun, yummy day!
TaDas: -went out and pulled dead flowers from front of house pots in anticipation of putting in the prelit small trees and garden stake ornament decorations -heated up lunch, Turkey and noodles and made buttermilk biscuits to have with -Have hauled obstructing items from closet in order to bring out decorations.
CB Victories: -the closet is less full than ever of obstructing items -I'd forgotten I'd actually put not 1, but TWO!!!! Empty totes in there in anticipation of being able to store year round house decorations in from mantel and shelves. A gift to myself!!!
Not sure how far I'll get today on the decorations but I'm happy already!

CBing Victories:
When I was at the office today I got rid of two large ornamental trees that I needed to leave my office. Also a bunch of magazines etc. Two books, several scarves I am in a decluttering mood so I will have the 1-800 guys come out either this week or next. There is some kind of large metal contraption that the quad trailer came in that needs to go away and I have some more items, like a vac that doesn't work and a chest of drawers, possibly a TV and recorder. Not a lot but it will be worth it to get rid of those items. Also the front door mat. I like to make sure that the mat always looks nice so I replace it annually or more if needed.
Accomplishments: Got the gate painted Spent several hours in the patio area cleaning up the squirrel dirt, clipping the grass on and on so it looks much better Went to town and did a bunch of errands. I took Clair and had an absolute blast with her at Home Depot. So many people and children stopping to pet her and tell me how wonderful she is. I loaded up the SUV with a bunch of purchases since putting Luna in the back with her ramp takes up most space (can't lift her in and out anymore) so I need to shop on her non-physical therapy days.
I scheduled an appointment with the dog trainer and went over my list of items. She thinks Clair is progressing nicely and gave me some pointers that will help me. Really she is such a good puppy but still has "puppy brain".
Thanksgiving: We had a wonderful holiday with all the fixings. Sounds like the puppy is slapping her water BRB. Yes, water all over and her paws are wet so it is a good bet she is the culprit.
On the horizon: Christmas decorations up from the basement tomorrow and get the outside things put up. Shouldn't be too difficult. I will need to give this some thought as the puppy is lightening fast at getting things in her mouth so the indoor decorations will have to be in very safe places since I don't want to spend weeks and weeks patrolling the house while she is wandering around or worse yet have a puppy accident with something that has sentimental value.
Beautiful weather which I hope will hold one more day then probable snow. Not complaining, I just think of the days of 99 degree plus heat and and am over moon happy about winter.
Glad you enjoyed your trip and hope you are having a great night!

Good Morning,
MIchelle, fantastic work on the CB'ing at the office and what you will get rid of at home. I had to laugh, I keep mis-reading things and read you would have one to 800 guys out to haul away your stuff from your house! I was like wow, there must be a lot of stuff! Such a goofball! I get it now. THat will be also be fantastic to get rid of what you mentioned because those are very bulky things and you will get a lot of bang for you buck on areas cleared when that stuff goes!
Yes, you will have to be mindful about the X-mas decorations this year with Clair, not just what she could ruin, but also accidentally eat...which I know you've already pondered. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving!
Well..I'd forgotten I'd gotten rid of a large animated Snowman who tips his hat in our front yard by the address monument. I'm not sure If I'm going to like only having the lighted tree out there. BUt getting rid of that snowman gave us a lot more garage shelf and DH hated it. It is not raining now so I'm heading out to hang lights outside. Many decorations are out and many boxes and totes have been put back in the under stair storage area. Goal is to decorate the tree today/tonight! Another "gift" to ourselves. LAst year DH screwed the tree base into a flat, heavy but smooth board, so when we assemble, it doesn't tip so easily and when we're done decorating it we can slide the base back close the wall smoothly/easily. ALso I'm wearing my garden gloves to spread the branches out thise year, is is so prickly to spread the branches. THis will be good.
More later

Z, Great job on getting started with the decorating! You made me laugh about the 1 to 800 guys. Seriously I could use a mister fixit/helper to follow me around most days.
DH and I brought the boxes etc up from the basement so I am ready to get started. Got sidetracked to again work on the Coyote Project requiring yet another trip to Home Depot. We were having a wind storm so I did not bother to try to go outside to put anything up. It looks like Wednesday will be decorating day as I have lots of chores piled up that need to get done tomorrow.
I had a minor freak out since it seemed like some of the Christmas decorations got decluttered accidentally in last summer's great decluttering but DH found them. Fortunately I was silently freaking out. LOL
Still need to train Clair and get my Yoga done. 9,569 steps so far and OP. Also I refuse to wear any baggy pants since it easy to grow back into them so I will declutter a little in that area. Ordered a few pairs of properly sized jeans which should come the first part of next week. These jeans are comfy. I haven't really worn any for many years. Change is good!
I noticed a huge Christmas dragon for sale at Home Depot. Not sure what theme that is about. Also a gigantic teddy bear. Normally would not even notice these types of things but HD is the main place I train Clair to behave in a crowd so I have been checking out what is for sale. I would like to see a house with all these gigantic things in the yard. I think it would be more interesting to train her in BBB or ......
Hope your decorating is going great!!

We had a little wind here today, but not super bad. I was at Home Depot today and I did not see any Christmas Dragons. Maybe it has to do with that popular T.V. series, "Game of Thrones"?
I saw some smaller snowman light up one, but I DID NOT BUY it! I did buy a three twig tree light stakes Target. Came in one box, slim, and connected with one cord and plugin. I put this at the base of the big tree I strung colored lights on. At least it's something else there. I got two packs of LED small colored lights at Home Depot. I do colored lights outside and our tree is colored lights, eclectic decorations. Good I got those two strings because the middle string on that big tree I did this morning went dead. So as I had the three pronged/plugin timer out there (which I figured out how to program BTW!) I was able to plug in the new strings, connected, and string it in the middle, over the top of the section that was dark. When it's dark out, you can't really even tell it's a different sized light bulb as they give the same type of light/color, so yay for that.
CB'd three different dead sets of lights and batteries, I have a vase and a Santa set aside to take to donation station I do not want anymore. Also I'm going to return an item or two from my shopping excursion with girlfriend last week. It's a bulky item, delicate and I really don't have a place to set it, no matter how cute it is. This plus I think can return one semi-expensive candle as well.
Got the tree assembled, lights on it, gold shiny garland, and kids and I decorated it this evening. Looks great! Got all boxes back into the closet and put all regular closet storage items back in and rehung all the coats, etc. Decorating is done. Also the tree slid back easily on that base we attached the tree stand to once was decorated. I bought a tree skirt, red plaid, with natural type snowflakes material sewed on the border with a little bling in the middle of the flakes at Home Goods this year. I love it! I've never had a tree skirt before. I usually just scrunch a blanket around the bottom, it looks really cute!
I'm having girlfiends for coffee tomorrow morning, this was good idea because it made me really get going and get everything put back away again. Plus I'm hosting bookclub dinner on Tuesday and need to do some baking tomorrow and will help me be ready for that as well. I will be waking up to a clean kitchen in the morning.
Hooray for your emotional elegance and not freaking out over the possible lost decorations! Glad you located them! Great job getting your steps in!
