Interesting. Well, I've always been heavy handed with the salt shaker... so now I won't feel as guilty. I'll side with the pro-sodium folks. LOL

I think itβs a fine balance. I retain sodium so my fingers swell and rings are tight if I have too much. I use it when I cook so but never add it afterward. I am just cautious about restaurant preparations.

I love this. I have never seen any evidence that I personally need to restrict sodium - my blood pressure is fine and I actually have had problems with low blood levels of sodium in the past. And I never retain water from sodium even after the saltiest restaurant foods like Chinese. I already restrict sugar, fat, carbs - I'm not adding salt to that list when I don't have to!

wildcat the same is true for my husband. I had to show him my tight rings and swelling to prove that even if we ate the same food, my body had a reaction that was different than his. He consumes lots of salt.
