Just finished the outdoor decorations. Still not too sure about how to handle the inside when considering the puppy. I decided to put up everything that would be puppy proof and then figure it out. She does not chew things up but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Also have to take DH's collie to town for a dental day. DH will stay home and dig the much needed hole for the next phase of the yard clean up. Those pine trees have dropped a lot of needles so that is something I definitely want to get cleaned up as they are blowing all over and making a mess. Also he will finish yet another part of the Coyote Project. This new plan seems to be working.
We have two large owls that roost right outside a night. They make the scariest noises when I take the puppy out. One time they swooped down and picked up a small dog toy and put it on the roof. Last night something big was going on out there. It's funny how those wild nature sounds are. So eerie.
Hope you are having an enjoyable productive day!

Good AFternoon!
Yes, night noises/nature can be very eerie! We have Raccoons here and one night I could hear them "vocalizing". It scared me, I was trying to figure out what on earth would sound like that!
What about setting a smaller tree on a card table to keep it off floor level? Or if you have fake tree, just put together the top one or two sections?
Glad the coyote picture is working. My sister got a great picture of a coyote sunning itself on a rock out on her one of her excursions lately, also some mule deer.
Bookclub Dinner Update: -cheesecake was DELICIOUS, baked perfectly on the inside, despite what it looked like on the outside. Seriously, it looked like a chocolate cake, everyone loved. The Parmesan-Herb Angel biscuits were AMAZING! I thought, Whoa this is too many biscuits, 7 ladies ate ALL of them! They ate like 3-4 each with their soup. They smelled so good and were yummy, they had Rosemary and Thyme in them and parmesan cheese, so moist, was like a restaurant type item. Also forced myself through kitchen clean up last night, so was good not to wake up to that mess this morning.
TaDas: -laundry is rebooted x3 -completed DD's 6 dance competitions persmissions slips, due today -paid some online bills
Crafting: -got craft table out -packaged new coasters and tags in the clear bags -counted inventory of everything and made a list -gonna up the price on my sleighs and put a box of candy in them as a "free" gift. But the upped price of the sleigh will include the cost of that candy, but I'm technically not reselling the candy. Then I will bag in the clear bags the sleighs came in originally, tie with cute ribbon and sell it as a unit. If they don't sell, then I have ready made presents to dole out to friends and family. -gonna put base coat of paint on some door knob hangers now so I can play with them -put remaining touch up chalk paint on an oval, floral sculpted mirror I'd picked up. I think I can do the dot painting on the flower forms that already exist on the frame, and it may be cute to sell. Not sure, but I'd like to see how it goes.
Be careful about those owls! They my think they're big enough to get your dog!!! One time my nieighbor saw an eagle flying with a small dog that had a leash attached. Sad face!
More later,
Z.

Great news about the cheesecake! Fun to read about crafting. Thanks for the ideas about the decorations. I spent some time in Hobby Lobby thinking about the situation today and came up with a plan similar to your card table idea.
The thing about the eagles is so scary but I knew about it so Clair was never ever left outside unsupervised at night. She weighs 48 pounds now so is out of the danger area for birds. But I still go out at night with her.
Took Alfie to the vet today. Sometimes it is amazing how incompetent staff can be. This is all I have to say except for they didn't know what to say when I said...... LOL
Time to continue the day!
