!Alcohol Free All the Way
Welcome to our 2017 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

NEW CHALLENGE! November 1 - December 31
CHRISTMAS DREAMS CAN COME TRUE!
Did you know? 23 days until Thanksgiving, 25 days until Black Friday, 28 days until Cyber Monday, 54 days until Christmas Eve AND 55 days until Christmas Day! HO HO HO!! So make your Christmas dreams come true and get on the AF wagon! You have about 8 weeks to make changes in your life that will bring you into 2018 feeling great! 2018!!
Ever drink, and still feel lousy? Ever drink, and say, not enough buzz? Ever drink and say one more has got to make it better or at least make me not care? Ever drink and ask yourself, what am I doing? Why do I want to poison myself? How does this possibly help me? The problems will still be there the next day. Then do you find yourself repeating the pattern knowing the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and yet expecting a different result. Ah, but you know better….HAH!
Being AF isn't easy, no one said it would be and if it was easy, there would be no need for this board and this wonderfully supportive group. Are you in an emotional war when it comes to alcohol? Declare a truce and determine that it isn't helping you, in fact it may be causing you problems. Can you decide to be alcohol free for the challenge? Can you determine if you need a plan for a detour, not necessarily to take it but to plan so it isn't a free fall into AIE? Have the holidays always been a reason to drink? Do you think you can enjoy the holidays without alcohol? Or do you get through the holidays by drinking? During the challenge the primary goal is to abstain from alcohol. There may be holiday dinner you wish to plan an AIM, repeat AIM, detour. However please remember if AIM becomes a relapse....we still want you back! Don't berate yourself. Come back to the board, 'fess up and get back on track. We are here to be supportive of each other in reaching our goals.
So if your Christmas Dreams are to be AF and feel physically, mentally and spiritually healthier, please join us for the challenge and make your dreams come true. New friends are welcome to join at any stage of the challenge.

Yay for the weekend!
I am having trouble getting it back together after being away for Thanksgiving- oversleeping, not tracking, eating too much junk. I am getting my steps in though.
I need to get going on decorating for Christmas, need to make a bunch of deviled eggs for a party tonight, and of course, I have a lot to do for work.
Sigh...

Good Saturday morning! Late practice last night and I'm at work right now. I'll probably head home by 11:00 though and I don't have to be at the church until 2:00 so I can rest a little. The production is going to be so good. It's a great play and the choir is doing several music numbers but we get to sit down between them so it's not as tiring. On Sundays, we stand the whole time we are in the choir loft which is over a half hour for each service. The standing just kills my back!
Amy - it can be hard to get back into a routine after a trip!
GG - glad you had the day off from the grand kids so you could get some things done. Sounds like the new WW program is very exciting!
hpeterson - I usually only get on Pinterest at night on my ipad when I get in bed. I just love it! LOL
Jan - did you get the tree all done?
Carole - what do you have planned for the weekend?
I got a spaghetti squash at the grocery store and I'm going to try cooking it in the crock pot. Supposed to be a lot easier than trying to cut it when it is raw. We'll see how it turns out. Everyone have a great day! Murphy

Hello friends! I worked out this am, I probably would've skipped it but I left my purse at work yesterday and wanted it back! I'm going to decorate for a bit then scrapbook I think. I ordered a bunch of St. Xavier clothes for our Christmas card and gifts but they are very small! I'll have to take a ride out there this week.
Amy, maybe this weekend you'll adjust to the time, IN isn't on eastern time, is it?
Murphy, not much going on this weekend. May ask dh to hang some pictures, we are having Christmas here so we'll do things we keep putting off!
Jan, are you packing?
Cindy, gg, hpeterson, how are you?
Have a great day!

Hi friends, Happy Saturday!! I went to WI this morning and was happily surprised, down over 2#. Now to keep it up, have one holiday party this week, one lunch out and working the bookfair at school and doing a TGIW after. Focus, and track. I don't get the new WW materials until next Sat. Hoping it reinspires me to get to goal. Walked downtown a while ago, they are saying some rain later, DH is out pruning trees and cleaning around the yard. Our "motto" is a little something everyday. Have boxes stacking up in our bedroom. No big plans for the rest of the weekend, I even avoided the street craft fair and a big rummage sale at the church, can't be bringing more things in!!! Going to watch Wisconsin/Ohio football this evening, making fajitas and think happy thoughts Have a nice evening all. Murphy Hope the show went well this afternoon/evening. I have "finished" what I'm going to do on the tree. Not as full as sometimes, but don't want to take it all back off later when I will be packing it up!! Going to turn some carols on the Pandora and just look at the lights for awhile. Also filled some bucket planters outside with the greens DH is cutting, now to find some light up branches or some way to perk them up. Carole Packing slowly, purging what I can. Good for you scrapbooking. I need to start organizing that stuff and get some in boxes or DH will just be filling up the trash can! Amy I never like to hear that you have to work from home even on your days off!!! Boo. Deviled eggs sounds yummy. Have fun at your party. Hi to all, Jan
