Hello! I have tons of water bottles with 24-25 oz being the biggest. I saw one on Amazon. It was a 48 oz wide mouthed water bottle made by a brand called Nalgene? Anyone have a bottle from this company/brand? Is it worth it? 12.97 price.
Looking to ditch all the smaller oz bottles if this is a good one.
Thanks for any info.

Jeanie, I use a Nalgene bottle when I hike. For carting around with me and at work (and at the gym) I prefer a bottle with a narrow top, easier to drink out of. My Nalgene has a wide screw on top that I tend to splash on myself. Not sure what bottle you're looking at though. That said, the bottles are very durable and light.

keshet51 , Thanks for responding! It was this one: NALGENE Silo Water Bottle Grey/340606 Black One Size. But I just found the following on Cabela's website for 9.97. Nalgene 48-oz. Silo Tritan Wide-Mouth Water Bottle. Same or pretty close, so I will definitely get it through there lol. I usually like narrow mouth or like a spout myself, but since I will be using it mostly at home, I think I can be okay with it being a wide-mouthed bottle.

jeanie, I apparently pushed the wrong button (again) and didn't get my comment posted. Nalgene seems to be a reputable brand. REI, the major sports retailer, sells them and REI won't carry crap. I recently bought a Rubbermaid water bottle with a sip top—the kind that has the little cap that pulls up and pushes down to open, close. It is 32 oz. which is all the fluid I can handle dealing with at a time. I got it at one of the grocery stores (Nob Hill/Raley's I believe).

zazzles, i guzzle close to a gallon a day, so i am happy not to refill so often with a 48 oz'er lol. I agree, if REI sells it, it must be pretty good. I go online at REI all the time, but there is always so much stuff I like, I usually end up buying nothing. I didn't even think to look there ( eye rolls myself) lol

I bought a Nalgene water bottle at Target a few years ago. It is a good brand. I now use Swell because it keeps water very cold all day long.

I have 2 Nalgene bottles. One that is larger I keep in the refrigerator the other smaller one I take to the gym. I like them. No BPA. I prefer the wide mouth as I want to be able to clean the bottle well. I only use water or lemon water in it but I still like being able to use a baby bottle brush to clean it.
