!Alcohol Free All the Way
Welcome to our 2017 Alcohol Free All The Way Board!
If you have been struggling with your weight and have found this board, you undoubtedly have your own unique, complicated relationship with alcohol and food. Laying out the problem honestly can give you the extra push you need to succeed in getting it under control. A few questions for you to think about...do you wake up at 3 AM wondering what did you do? Do you sometimes have no recall of the evening before or do you try to recover your memory of the evening before you even get out of bed? Is your spouse angry with you? Or do you simply think that A is taking over too much of your life, affecting your weight loss? Did you finish the bag of chips? cookies? or just spend the evening grazing? These are hard questions but know that you will find understanding, love, encouragement and support on this thread. We are each in a different stage of this journey but you will find others have shared your experiences. There is no judgment, just an acknowledgment that we have been there, done that and know we need and get the support from this great group of women and men.
Whether you are choosing to be AF or find you can achieve AIM (maximum of one drink per day for women and maximum of two drinks per day for men), please join us if you feel this challenge meets your needs.

NEW CHALLENGE! November 1 - December 31
CHRISTMAS DREAMS CAN COME TRUE!
Did you know? 23 days until Thanksgiving, 25 days until Black Friday, 28 days until Cyber Monday, 54 days until Christmas Eve AND 55 days until Christmas Day! HO HO HO!! So make your Christmas dreams come true and get on the AF wagon! You have about 8 weeks to make changes in your life that will bring you into 2018 feeling great! 2018!!
Ever drink, and still feel lousy? Ever drink, and say, not enough buzz? Ever drink and say one more has got to make it better or at least make me not care? Ever drink and ask yourself, what am I doing? Why do I want to poison myself? How does this possibly help me? The problems will still be there the next day. Then do you find yourself repeating the pattern knowing the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and yet expecting a different result. Ah, but you know betterโฆ.HAH!
Being AF isn't easy, no one said it would be and if it was easy, there would be no need for this board and this wonderfully supportive group. Are you in an emotional war when it comes to alcohol? Declare a truce and determine that it isn't helping you, in fact it may be causing you problems. Can you decide to be alcohol free for the challenge? Can you determine if you need a plan for a detour, not necessarily to take it but to plan so it isn't a free fall into AIE? Have the holidays always been a reason to drink? Do you think you can enjoy the holidays without alcohol? Or do you get through the holidays by drinking? During the challenge the primary goal is to abstain from alcohol. There may be holiday dinner you wish to plan an AIM, repeat AIM, detour. However please remember if AIM becomes a relapse....we still want you back! Don't berate yourself. Come back to the board, 'fess up and get back on track. We are here to be supportive of each other in reaching our goals.
So if your Christmas Dreams are to be AF and feel physically, mentally and spiritually healthier, please join us for the challenge and make your dreams come true. New friends are welcome to join at any stage of the challenge.

It was rough walking at the beach yesterday- high tide and soft sand. I gave up pretty quickly and will stick to the sidewalk today. We went to storage and brought home all our Christmas stuff. We got the tree up and added lights to the sections that are no longer "prelit".
The party last night was fun- I did quite a bit of dancing.

Good morning! I spent yesterday morning doing work things, then got a phone call that ds was coming hunting, and Addi wanted to come. How could I say no? She actually helped me put the new material together for my atworks,, then we played, and played, and played.
I've been enjoying the lights on our tree. Today I will get my ornaments on. Tonight is Jack and Addi's Christmas program at church. Somewhere in between I need to go over my material again for meetings next week. I do love the new program and have been successful when I follow it! Now that I can talk about it, it will be even better! My trainer had been on the pilot program and she looks fantastic! When I saw her, I started to believe it would work for me too.
Tomorrow is Rylee Day! ๐ What a great way to start the week!
Dh is up. Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi All, Late check in.
Sooo... Friday I fell off the wagon- 2 smokes and 1 drink. No actual binge but did eat more garlic ranch pretzels than I should have. It was the class cooking project.
But Saturday and Sunday were both SF, AF and Binge Free! Back on Track!
Great service at church today. Then went to an evening service called a "blue Christmas". It acknowledges that not everyone is extremely happy around service.
Some people have a rough time due to addiction, broken relationships, depression/mental health, poverty, violence, etc. It really does help me.
Have a great week everyone
