Happy Friday, Everyone.
I have been meaning to ask if anyone is watching the show, This Is Is? It lives up to the hype, IMHO. It is on NBC.
Liz, good idea on talking to the surgeon especially since the pain is ongoing. I hope Zoe didn't get you up last night since she has a bowl of water. How was PT? Any relief? His Tinyness is fine. He just gets upset every time at leave him alone in the afternoon. He is fine with being alone in the morning. Iggy flew to Vietnam last night and will fly back to Singapore to return home.
Becky, I hope the shot finally started working overnight. I hope the insurance comes through for your Synvisc shots. Someone is getting very rich from people's aches, pains and illnesses. Big Pharma has no soul.
Linda, I am sorry you had to fight a migraine all day. I hope today finds you better. Yes, you are doing a lot of work for someone else. My parents were not as thoughtful. It is not fun dealing with grief and lawyers at the same time.
Kathy, forgive my forgetfulness, but is today your day off? I am pretty sure Iggy will take Monday off since he doesn't get back until Sunday evening. It must have been a helluva week for you at work. I sensed "tired" in your posts.
Karen, I am so relieved to hear Phoebe hasn't had a bad reaction to the chemo yet. I hope it stays that way. So she is getting a pass on bad behavior? 😄 Is Dale all geared up for your departure? Even if the cheesecake turns out to have a few lumps it will still taste good. I guess your bread got "All Shook Up." It is your Elvis loaf. I am sure you were thinking of many, many things and you lost focus. It was all cooked with love and it doesn't matter what it looks like. I hope you have good travel weather.
We started yesterday at 60° and when I went to bed it was 38°. It will be much colder today and we are expecting freezing rain tonight. I expect the swings in temps in the spring. It is early this year.
Okay, everyone I hope the day goes well for all.

Chele, thanks for the start. I'm working today since last week was a short week, but I'm taking Monday off. You're right in sensing "tired" in my posts. This week has just worn me down for some reason. Every part of it seemed like a struggle from getting ready in the morning to driving to sitting in the old, musty, freezing computer lab. But, I got U2 tickets! That's quite a trip for Iggy and I'm sure he'll need Monday to rest up. I watched the premiere of "This is Us" and it was excellent. I lost track of when it was on and I'll have to catch up. I also noticed the 3rd season of Mozart in the Jungle is on Amazon, so I want to watch that. Can't beat a show where the main character is an oboist. We're getting swings in the temperatures too. Last night, it felt really hot in the house and it was 76. Too cool for A/C and too hot for heat, but I caved and put the A/C on for awhile just to get some air moving in the house. It'll be back to using the A/C today since we're expecting a high around 80. Hope everyone has a lucky day! I'll check back later when this long work week has ended...

Thanks for the start, Chele. I forgot it was Friday the 13th. What's the new avatar? So, Iggy is just spending the day in Vietnam? How many hours will it take for him to fly home? Price is Right tried to give away a trip to Singapore, so that reminded me that Iggy was currently there. It was over $10K for the trip. I was surprised it was that much. Sorry for your rapidly changing temperatures. 60 to 38 is quite a shock to the system.I hope the freezing rain is long gone by the time Iggy's plane lands. How is he doing diet wise so far? I am happy to say that we will be in the 60s for the next several days. It was 59 when we got up and it's now 61 and we are expecting that to pretty much be the high for today. It's cloudy and we had some rain this morning but beats snow. We have a 40% chance of rain today and tomorrow with 60% chance on Sunday. So I may encounter some wet roads on my trip. LOL on the Elvis loaf. It was also a Nick Gilder loaf (Hot Child in the City) because the counter gets a bit warm when the dishwasher is running. Does Teddy sleep all morning so that's why he doesn't pitch a fit until afternoon? Phoebe is like that sometimes. She's pretty sleepy today because of the cloudy weather. Does Teddy want to do something or just wants you with him?
Good luck with the Synvisc, Becky. I hope it gets approved. Is the cortisone shot kicking in yet? Sometimes it has taken a day or so for them to start working for me. Glad the doc sees surgery as a last resort. Is this a Curves day for you?
Oh, Linda, it wouldn't be good for me to have a Cheesecake Factory so close. I hope you got all your bank stuff taken care of. I'll bet you went to bed early last night
Liz, how did Zoe do last night and how were your aches and pains? Were you able to get a decent night's sleep?
Glad you'll get a 3-day weekend despite having to work this week. Congrats on scoring the U2 tickets? Tampa again? Netflix doesn't currently have Mozart in the Jungle available on DVD so I guess we'll have to wait until that happens so I can see it. Or wait til Dish gives us unlimited Gb on our data plan.
I have been a whirlwind today getting things done for tomorrow. I already have almost 8K steps. I made a chocolate cheesecake that uses a sleeve of the fudge mint cookies from Aldi as the crust. It has both unsweetened cocoa and semisweet chocolate chips so it's pretty rich.but I hope it's good. It's already in the freezer with the one I made yesterday and they will be the last thing I load into the car before I leave and they will thaw on the trip. I baked a couple loaves of gluten free cranberry orange bread, a bigger one to take and a smaller one for here. The friend I will be staying with is the one who got me interested in gluten free, so I try to make something gluten free to take for her when I stay there. I also made gluten free granola to take to her and one of my other friends, both of of whom love it even more than I do.
Tapatalk is still not working right. I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if I can get it to work that way. I can still get into the IE/HAES thread and the Beck/MFP messaging group but nothing on our boards beyond the Announcements under General. Very weird.
I will try to stop back later to see what everyone is up to, especially if I will be out of touch for most of the weekend.
Enjoy your Friday the 13th, Ladies!

got the first bank thing done, takes a week to go into effect. Tomorrow the other one. Sent change of beneficiary firms on IRa stuff. Now I need to change it on insurance. Yuck. It just goes on.
another pollution, cloudy, dreary cool day. Wanted to stay in bed!
i am fortunate to have large , oval corner tub with seat cut in like a spa. I can turn over on my knees and use arm strength to get up and then tightly grasp the top of the cabinet as I get out. The warm water sure helps.
Why are you making all these cheesecakes? It is making me hungry!

Kathy, I am glad you got U2 tickets. I hope that made sitting in the cold in front of a screen tolerable. I didn't realize Mozart was back!
Linda, laughing at your cheesecake hunger. I am not a big fan of cheesecake, so I can ignore it, although the chocolate one is tempting. I am glad the hot water eases the pain in your joints.
Karen, I am glad it is only rain you will encounter on your trip. Love that song, Hot Child in the City. Iggy did okay in Singapore and Vietnam but said the food in Bali was too spicy. Teddy sleeps all morning after his stroll in the backyard. He is not very active any more, but he likes someone around in the afternoon to cater to his every whim. Up on the couch, down on the floor, outside, inside, more water, lunch, please. I don't call him his Tinyness for nothing.😜
Waving to Liz and Becky.

Appt with other Tomorrow. phone work...flight insurance and automatic ADD when we travel...forms bring sent term insurance and two other ADD policies through old union...forms being sent. Email AAA hospitalization and ADD.
Everything is 7 - 10 days in mail.. joking that we better stay alive another three weeks! Knock on wood.
i had not realized the flight insurance had the other, but only during trip when we fly. Had not realized AAA had that too on policy we bought. Have you ever sat down and checked it all? Updated beneficiaries?
dog got 3/4 mile walk. I am platzed. Dinner is heated leftovers just about to get wine when dog flapped his ears. He gets them cleaned but year since he had infection once, seems prone to fungus. So. Vet appt after the bank Sat. Sigh

Linda, we already are seeing the hunger effects of the Prednisone. As a basset, she is a real chow hound so we need to limit her to breakfast and dinner and only give her small amounts at a time. But she is not happy about it and starts whining for dinner before 4 pm and it is not served until 5. I'm glad your tub helps with your aches and pains. The cheesecakes are for a GF get together I am going to tomorrow. I hope Micki's ears will just need cleaning at the vet.
Chele, his Tinyness seems to have you trained. LOL Has everyone seen The Secret Life of Pets? We're watching it right now. Cute!
Dale and I actually took most of the afternoon off and caught up on TV shows we taped--Colony and Portlandia. Then we watched Deep Water Horizon. I may never be able to buy BP gasoline again. I already have the car packed except for the cheesecakes. I'll try to leave by 7 tomorrow so maybe I can stop at a Michael's on the way to pick up some yarn that is exclusive there. It's over an hour to the closest one here. Back Sunday. Tapatalk is working at the moment so I will try to post some time if it continues to cooperate.

Hi Chicks and thanks for the start Chele.I haven't watched This is Us yet but I saw the previews and it looks pretty good. The cortisone shot didn't work until I was at Curves this morning.Somehow my leg stretched out even though I won't be able to straighten it out anymore and I was able to do a couple of the machines that previously hurt my knee to do without pain. While I was in WM the left one was trying to give me trouble but it's not as bad as the right one. This afternoon I walked up to the road gate and back and I can tell it hurts more b/c the driveway is pretty rocky.I hope you like cold weather better than I do.Our low was 68 and the high was 81 although it's back down to 66 now.
Kathy,I'm sorry this was a rough week and you are so tired.I'm glad you still get a 3 day w/e.
Thanks Karen.I hadn't been to Curves since Tuesday so I was determined to make today my 3rd day for the week and it also started the beginning of my Silver & Fit plan so now I don't pay for it anymore. The cortisone has kicked in some but not completely.I know it can take a little while sometimes.Enjoy your weekend with your girlfriends.
