I know we all have the resolutions, back to the gym, blah blah, but that stuff's boring so let's talk about personal refreshes in other areas. I usually get a haircut or fun color job and change moisturizers around this time of year. I got a haircut last night instead of waiting til January. I don't think I'll do color for a while because I'll just be shoving my hair under hats for the next few months, anyway. I'd love to go purple again, though, and I was looking at fun colors (Mermaid hair! ahhh) and ran across this! Am I the last to know about Rose Gold hair??? I've always wanted to go blonde but didn't think I could pull it off. I think I could do this though. Anyway, what do you do for yourself for a personal New Year re-fresh?

I think it's pretty!
My kids tell me I'm too old to do those fun colors anymore! WHATEVER!
My only concern would be how quickly it would fade. Red tones are hard to keep look good.

It would look good on you.
My go to EVERY January is back on the WW wagon. I change my hair, although short, as frequently as I can, cut wise though.

That is a pretty color. I like the rose.
Maybe not a huge makeover, but for the winter I've decided to go a little lighter. Basically more blond highlights. It looks good. I'm happy with it. Also, I'm going back to an old hair cut I used to have. One that looks particularly good flat ironed. But that's a little challenge for me because I have naturally wavy (even to a degree curly) hair.

I changed my hair color early fall & I like it so that won't change. I got the haircut from hell in October & I only wish I looked good in hats. I actually have to grow it out before I can get it cut again because I know I look better in shorter hair but this cut is awful. What I want to refresh, or maybe I should say learn correctly, is how to properly do my eye makeup. I have very dark, nearly black, eyes and they are on the small side and I really don't know how to apply makeup to bring them out. So, that's my refresh!

Riverkat - I love your haircolor.
Until a few months ago, I was coloring my hair red but it was fading really quickly since it is mostly gray underneath. Early in the year I got to permanent to try to bridge the gap while I was growing my hair. I finally got fed up with it and went in and a couple of weeks ago had it straightened. I also a few months ago changed my hair color to brown with chunky blonde highlights. When I got the perm straightened the highlights stood out more and I also put in some red highlights. We'll see if the color stays.
This year I am buying a lot of clothes right now. I got to my goal weight (well, the official one) last year. But this year I had facial plastic surgery and a tummy tuck and breast lift. Due to the tummy tuck and breast lift, my clothes fit differently so I basically have needed to buy a new wardrobe and I've been working on that the last couple of weeks.
Also, I am having Resurfx and IPL done to improve my skin tone and color. I had a facelift, eyelift, browlift earlier in the year and also have done Botox/Juvederm and the Resurfx/IPL is a series of 5 treatments that I am midway through.

I need to start wearing makeup again. I've been slacking off during the week. Time for a Sephora makeover. I have been looking more toward a fresh neutral look because it's less matching and blending, therefore less time. Also something easy to touch up post gym. Yes I workout in makeup. Doesn't hurt my skin. Actually I'm breaking out more without makeup on.
I bought a bunch of skin care and hair care stuff, so that's my next project. Pampering aging yet breakout prone skin, and keeping my curls moisturized and growing. My hair is down to my armpits stretched out, and I want to keep it growing. Requires a lot of good conditioning, detangling, and moisturizing.
