Michelle,
Wow!!! Exciting times for you. I think I may have missed a post somewhere where DH's X-mas present was a new puppy! Sounds very, very fun AND very, very busy for you! Hope the pick up goes well and the pups get on well together! Can't wait to hear more about the new pup and the "old" pup!
I took DD shopping yesterday, there were things needed for Dance, expensive make-up just advised of this week by the coaches..sigh. There were other things needed for Secret Santa. Most of this outing was fun, editing.
Finished the Nutcracker. I like him! I went to get him printed but there was some confusion. As the cards I had printed recently were blank inside, I didn't realize how the "greeting and signature" part needed to be submitted for scanning so that was not prepared. Also they wanted to scan the original sketch. But what I'm recalling is that I made my own photocopy an original pencil sketch of a little house original to get it to the desired darkness, then gave them THAT to scan from. While the scanning is very good, it is almost too good as it catches everything, many errors, or undesired smudge marks. So if you want to darken it from the scanning, then it darkens all those things too. If I copy with regular machine first I can darken to degree desired, but it doesn't pick up all the little problems because the machines aren't that sensitive, then is a cleaner piece to to do the scan from. So I don't mind having to go back for second trip as it gave me time to think about this in advance of printing. Also he was not centering as I'd wished because I'd sketched some walnuts at his feet. So I've erased one nut which extended too far on one side so this will no longer be an issue. WHew, thanks for listening.
So, I have a friend coming this morning who has 5 children and wants to know how to make and glue together little Gingerbread houses that my Aunt made all her life for kiddos. So I need to mix up some of that dough so we have some pieces ready to work with.
TaDas: -got most of the laundry, lots of socks put away yesterday that had been sitting in a basket a loooong time.
ToDos: -make gingerbread dough -reboot laundry as I work/bake
Looking forward to doggie update!

Z, Congrats on getting the Nutcracker finished. IMO you are definitely becoming an expert in many areas of crafting!!! Hope you had fun working on the gingerbread house gluing.
Puppy's flight came in on time. So utterly cute! Right now he looks like a little wind up doll and is laying round with DH watching TV while I do my chores. Bubba acts like he was raised in a monastery--no sounds, nothing, just serenity so the scene around the airport was stressful for him. However he must have sneaked out at night and ran with a crowd of rowdies through the hood creating havoc with the other gangs of dogs because when Clair decided to give him a ration that cute little puppy bared his teeth and snapped at her! She was totally shocked. However, no need to worry about Bubba taking care of himself after we witnessed that display. Clair is still working on getting back on his good side. LOL
Time for Clair's training session then finishing all the regulars of my P.M. routine. 11,501 OP steps today.
Hope you are having a pleasant relaxing day!!!

Oh I hope the puppies are going to get along! The little one sounds cute too.
My sister took her wire haired Griffon chucker hunting today and she got two of them! I don't know if I told you that my sister LOOOOOOVES that dog. She has driven hundreds of miles to help get special training for the dog for bird hunting, which my sister does do. And today she got two birds, dog did all the right things, retrieved great, etc.
The houses came together, she took 7 of them home and I CB'd some extra old candy I had on hand she could use with her kids. We both do not do these houses to eat, they are to make and set out during the holiday season. I then made a very cute, 5 window church with arches and arched door and steeple. There were some missteps though with measuring the roof though so it's missing it's overhang which makes it cuter. Also it might be cute slightly smaller, only 3 windows. The steeple is tricky though but I might not be able to help myself and actually end up making a card stock model/template pieces and try it one more time. Or save it for next years attempt.
Made cookies for DS to take to his robotics club get together this evening as well.
Most of the cooking stuff is cleaned up, ran the DW, picked up/put away the toys I'd gotten out for her three year old, so cute.
TOmorrow is a jam packed day, DD's has first dance competition, thankfully her routine is # 6 but I still have to stay there all day, which is fine, but I have to leave at 5:30 to go to dinner with friends. The other group doesn't perfrom until 31st performance so hopefully I get to see that one. It will probably be frowned on by the group if I leave early, but I can't help it, I can only do what I can do. I have to have her at the school at 7:00 AM the competition doesn't start until 1:00 PM, and goes till sometime between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
DS is going skiing with friends, we've got his gear together for that, there were frustrations with him and DH's wanting to use inappropriate gear, and then all that got drug out and tried on, etc. with DH not really listening/understanding what DS was going to wear, not going to wear underneath, etc. instead of using the appropriate gear which we own, I just bought it for goodness sake....editing...sigh. WE'll see what happens.
So...I guess that's it for now.
