Running out the door
Tadas: -DD to ortho appointment, have left her with room clearing instructions for the day.
-mailing cards -mailing packages -making returns
I think I'm adopting function over form for the laundry room and shoe situation. Will take tape measer with me and see what I can see at Home Depot. There is more to this story. Weary of constant overflow, item is arriving which will consume more of the clost space in that room therefore will cause more overflow, another solution is needed. Taking my tape measure.
Hope your day is off to a good start.

Good Luck with your organizational project.
I worked on organizing closets today. Over several months things get out of hand. However I got two of them completely under control again and I like this latest organizational plan the best so far.
Decluttering list:
4 shirts 7 scarves 3 pairs of shoes 5 purses 4 clothes pins 1 plastic dog collar brought home if Clair needed her head encased in plastic to keep her from chewing her tummy. She didn't have to wear it.
I also had to make a 20 foot dog leash for class. Supposedly Clair will get 20 feet away from me and I will be able to pull that rope in fast enough to keep control of her as she comes towards me. I am not that coordinated. However, Clair already will sit 20 feet away from me and wait patiently for me to call her so maybe I won't need that leash in class.
We are having a wind storm of sorts. Just love our metal roof. Looks just like a normal roof but those shingles are not going anywhere ever.
Hope you are having a pleasant day!!!

Good Evening,
Great work on those closets and the CB list! Woohoo You! Glad your roof is good. Maybe Clair will be ahead of the class. SOrry you're having big wind, hat that!
I had written a big venting paragraph which I deleted and am editing to "I wonder if the have a "Brilliant Buddies" class for teen girls?
CB: -two returns to Target and I will return the extra shoe racks I got that are not needed.
Organization: Purchased a three tiered, stackable, metal pole, mocha wood sided, shoe shelf from Target. It extends to 46 Inches wide. I stacked two of them together, at the full 48" length and put all of DH and DS shoes on it that were in laundry room area, 32 pairs. I kept the smaller one I already had from PotteryBarn in there for me and DD's shoes, which number 12 and they are all DD's as I keep my shoes in my MB closet. I hate they way this looks, yet it is the laundry room, is the main point of entry/exit from the house. There was bare space of wall opposite the washer and dryer machines, that does accommodate it, it's not too tight/skinny to do laundry with it there, the pairs can be easily seen, I'll live.
Why? because we have a standard closet in the laundry room that accommodates a very heavy type cabinet for DH's hobby stuff. He advised that he would, and already had, purchased a SECOND cabinet the same size, that I think he thought he'd put in MY part of the MB closet, um...no. I don't want it in there, plus as there's carpeting in there I don't think it would set properly and would be a safety hazard. Let alone the heft of getting it to the upper level of the house, furniture straps were purchased for this endeavor. Who was going to wear those and carry it, I know not. So the hanging shoe caddy thing needed to be emptied and removed from laundry room closet. The coats that remain will hang down the center. The existing cabinet is already to the right, the new one will go the left. There are too many pairs of shoes, coats, bags, suitcases and duffel bags, gloves, scarves and such in this house. This stuff needs editing down and no new stuff coming in to replace. We really need to analyze what we have and what we actually wear and get rid of the rest. Maybe there will be a Christmas Miracle. But at least I know the cabinet is the exact same size as the one we already have and I know it will fit on the left side of that closet which is a relief.
Okay, off to see what I can facilitate in what remains of DD's room clearing project.
