Good morning, you two! I have a lovely day at home, so just allowing myself to piddle this AM.
My leg doesn't hurt today, yahoo, so may the rest of the injections go so easily! I'm still going to take it easy today, then might up the exercise tomorrow.
We had SUCH a fantastic time with *the kids* last night, they are just so much fun; I love the thought they are giving to how they want to move forward in their lives, thinking about dropping a couple of social media forms and working on IRL relationships.
They were duly complimentary of all the work we have done and how the apartment is looking; we still haven't hung pictures, but if we can spend some time shelving CD's (dinosaurs!) and books this weekend, the upstairs will be in pretty good shape.
Despite the fact I was thinking how well I did with *party food*, the scale took a giant leap in the wrong direction this AM, (yellow zone alert!) so I'm going to focus on Power Foods and portions this weekend...yes, I am. I know I have let *nervous/anxious* eating run amuck this past month, so time for a willingness to change.
I finished a chemo hat I was knitting this week, I want to start a new project, but hate casting on, so will tie myself to the sofa at some point. Have a good one!

Yes, stay safe to those in the path of ice storms. IMO they are worse than snow.
Overcast here but nothing to complain about. Told myself I couldn't go online till I had the 2nd load of laundry in and the bed changed...so here I am. I should start reorganizing the bedroom closet but truthfully, I don't know where to beginš§Nor do I feel like doing it today. Plenty of other chores to keep me busy this a.m. I actually have lunch & dinner planned which is a first in a long time. And, no kitty again this a.m. But I'm keeping an eye out.

ksbruns Don't you love the time with your adult son? When DD and her family come over for dinner (couple of times a month) I love hearing about the fun things they are involved with. Makes your heart sing to see and hear what neat adults they've become. And then, when the grandkids come, you'll see what a great job you did as a parent!! Being a grandparent is the reward for all the days you doubted yourself as a parent. (not that you are rushing the kids into having a baby yet!!) Glad to hear your knee is behaving properly. Hope that continues!

Good morning everyone.
Blue skies and sunshine here in Silicon Valley. We will have Camelot weather overnight (rain in the dark of night clearing before morning). Then weāll be clerar until Wednesday when the next storm brings more rain. Thursday morningās news reported that the drought in the Bay Area has been declared ended officially; the Sacramento area and all of southern California are still in droughtāwe should shoo the rain northeast and south!
I had a satisfying low-carb breakfast of scrambled egg + egg beaters with diced ham to start the day. Lunch will be ācarbierāāI have a friend coming to lunch and will serve Tuna salad sandwiches and split pea soup that I made last night.
I wish everyone a great day!

Good Saturday Morning! We had rain most of the night and it continues now. Thankfully the temps stayed above freezing and we did not get the ice and cold. Sending good vibes to all dealing with ice. It really is the worst.
So as lucky as we are without ice, I was up later than usual and started the coffee. Out went the power! That is odd. The power company did not have an explanation for what the called widespread outage but restored in about an hour. Of course all I could think about is that the coffee maker had stopped!
Then of course the Verizon router which came right back on and had the TV and phone rolling, would not talk to the computer or the kindle but would connect the mobile to the WiFi....finally all back to normal after turning all off and rebooting the router.
I like a rainy day with lots of home things to do. Not getting my fitbit steps in but oh well. Moving and doing my pre-cleaning for my business launch wine and cheese party coming up on Friday for my Rodan+Fields business. Looking forward to a gathering of friends. You sure see how much cleaning needs to be done when company is coming.

I know....the Coffeemaker!....I had the first drips in the pot before it went down and I poured that....not good....I even thought of heading out to find an open fast food place to load up on some cups....but I just held tight and the power is back.
I decaffeinated about 15 years ago and spent 3 months with headaches. Needless to say I am back on full caff coffee. The research changes daily on the good or bad of that but I have made my peace with that little addiction. Until the power goes out!
I couldn't even come here for a cup of yours because I couldn't connect!

Hope that continues! Absolutely, Linda....they are a wonderful compliment to each other; I always knew that Brady would be a wonderful husband and I'm so glad he *took his time* finding the right woman. Despite her *high-flying* background, Dana is very grounded and they have a really solid view of the world and how they want to fit in it. Definitely makes my heart sing!

I had J busy with the vacuum yesterday because we are *Dust Bunny Central* and I don't want Dana to think that I am a slug (it's one thing when we're the only ones seeing it.) An AM without coffee is a sad AM indeed...I know my acupuncturist would like me to give up caffeine, but I figure I have to have a few vices...glad you are *lit* again!
