Good morning. I'd recommend chocolate chip cookies, Debbie. Wednesday and Thursday are what I like to call a Tale of Two Interviews. Wednesday was a train wreck. No way to sugar coat it. Skype - which has worked before with no problems, decided to poop itself. Eventually, we switched to a traditional phone call, but my nerves were shot and I let it get to me. I'm not saying I told the president of the company that he was an idiot, but I might have. Here's a pro tip: Don't question the owner's choice in locating his business. Even if the mass majority is out of state and he's not native to the area. No. Just be thankful that there's an opening near you. I don't know why I even brought that up. Well, I know why. We'd already covered about everything I had prepped for questions and then some. So, when he asked if I had any questions... Everything about that call said "bomb". That was the one close to Cecilia's office. So, her dream of having a carpool buddy and lunch date probably went up in smoke - unless the Skype problem was on their end and everyone else had the same angst. Yesterday, the president of the company I interviewed at last week met me at Starbucks wearing yoga pants. Yoga. Pants. And she was 10 minutes late. That said, the conversation went very well. She said "I'm very interested." - more than once. She explained that the CEO I met with takes calls no matter who's in the room and the fact that I got nearly two hours with him (even with the phone calls) says a lot as he usually cuts any meeting off at a half hour or so. We went for two hours sitting on the most uncomfortable metal stools ever created and with my bladder full of coffee. I didn't sprint to the bathroom afterwards only because I feared I might mess my pants if I did So, after a disaster Wednesday, I had a good bounce-back yesterday. We'll see where things go.

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Debbie. Brrr...our weather is to change overnight. Our high is to be in the upper 50s today, with rain moving in later and the temps will drop. We aren't having the dramatic drop that you had, though. I second Lou's choice of chocolate chip cookies. They are always a winner in my book!
Brenda, I would charge the neighbors rent for the storage space, too, if you allow them to use it. I can see them just taking advantage otherwise. DSis has our attic space for free but not indefinitely. She's got to figure out her next move once the house sale and divorce are final and she knows exactly where she stands financially. Right now she is trying to just catch her breath after the move. She is a retail manager, so work is crazy for her now. Her store is moving out of the mall into a free standing building at the end of January, so her work crazy is not going to subside for another two months at minimum.
Lou, I feel for you with Skype. We used to use AT&T Connect for our business calls and we switched to Skype for Business about six months ago. Skype poops not only its own pants, but everyone's pants at some point. It does not discriminate. I'm sorry that it caused you such issues on Wednesday. I like it that your Thursday interview was not super formal, but the president being late plus a bit too casual is very interesting. The interest level seems to be very high in you, considering the CEO and president both spent two hours talking with you. Positive vibes ~~~ to you. Nice recovery from Wednesday to Thursday!
Today was WW meeting first thing. Ms 14 point sandwich took last week's advice to heart and thankfully she seems to be on the right track. Now I'm at work. Speaking of crazy, it seems that there are people losing their flippin' minds. Everyone is staffed lower than usual this week and next, and for some reason, things that have been bugging people for weeks are being reported. It makes for significant tension amongst those who are working. Whee...this too shall pass. I get to leave at midday for a hair appointment. I may treat myself to a midday Starbucks run after that.
Waving hi to Vicki and Lori. I hope you are doing well!
Later, Ginia

Good morning
Lou, gee you have really had an experience with the interviews. Hang in there. I was at Starbucks this morning with my DSon. Maddie was in the car with me and the man parked next to me had a bathroom on...lol He was with his two daughters that were in their PJs. When I asked me son did that man seriously have a bathroom on, he said who cares look at the car he is driving....a very expensive Lexis. AND he had bare legs. The bathrobe came to his knees.
Virginia, I let my brother-n-law (my ex's brother) store his boat in it for free ;-) Enjoy your hair time.
Debbie, thanks for the start. I'm with Lou chocolate chip is a good choice.
Waving to Lori and Vicki
Working on my steps and making some things (not cookies). Have a great day everyone!

Hi, Louis - an interview in yoga pants, that is strange. Does everyone in the company wear them? You could save a lot on work duds. So the CEO is rude all the time. Chocolate chip with walnuts is Ted's favorite. Brenda - I shouldn't make cookies but DN would cry. Spell check really did a number on your post. Virginia - enjoy the hair cut.
Ok chocolate chip is on the list but I have to make Italian Neapolitan holiday cookies for DN. They take two days are 3 thin layers with jam in between each layer and a chocolate glaze on top. Today was elliptical, yoga and climbing. My weight is up again. I have decided to quit drinking diet soda, well and soda except club soda. Debbie
