Good morning, folks.
I was forced at metaphorical gun point last night to watch Pitch Perfect 2. Apparently, there's a third one in theaters and it would be an affront against nature if I were to see it without watching the rich character and plot development in the second.
I want to see Darkest Hour, but I have a feeling that "Fat Amy" is going to win out over Winston Churchill.
Speaking of fat, I think I gained a pound or two just reading your description of the three day cookies, Debbie!
I stopped by the running store this morning to meet the group; not to run because I can't manage my asthma in the cold. Today is the grand reopening after they were closed all summer and fall for remodeling. So, free coffee and whatnot.

Good Morning, Louis - thanks for the start. Did you do anything special for Hanukkah? I will only post WW friendly treats from now on, No, I can't do that I would have to quit working out and change my name.
I have decided on the much voted for chocolate chip, double ginger and DN cookies. Might add orange cranberry bundt cake. Today we will try to get everything out of storage with the kids help. I started my day with steel cut oats. Debbie

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Lou. Wow, you are really taking one with the team to watch not one but two Pitch Perfect movies in the span of just a few days. I admit I haven't seen any of them. I am pretty sure I could not ever get DH to watch even the first one. The song "Cups" is worse than fingernails scraping on chalkboard in his opinion. If it comes on the radio when we are driving, the station gets changed immediately. I'm rooting for Winston to win out over Amy this weekend. Hooray on the running store reopening. Is it a local small business? One of my walking group buddies has asthma. She keeps her nose and mouth covered when we go out in cold weather, especially if it is windy. She also always carries her inhalers. I know there is probably more to consider than that, though.
Hi Debbie. We don't want you to stop being you! Double ginger cookies sound tasty. You will have an active day with clearing out the storage unit. Thanks, the haircut time was a nice break away from work. I really like my stylist. I am so glad that I changed from the previous flaky one, this one cuts my hair a lot better.
Hi Brenda. Some in-laws are keepers, right? Even if they are xils. I don't know what my future relationship with DBIL is going to be when he is XDBIL...we get along fine (always have) and I am sure that I will see him occasionally because of DNiece and especially DNephew. OMG regarding the guy in the bathrobe. There were a couple of times that the kids missed the bus and it was a day off from work for me. I don't remember ever going out in a bathrobe with bare legs, though. Especially not in the winter! At least the guy's knees were covered.
Today was a nice day with no alarm clock. I did a WATP so FP and steps are good for today. I need to re-verify the gift status for the family. I was late getting home yesterday as I worked on doing some long overdue filing at work and then ran a couple of errands on the way home. There was a box waiting for me and I just opened it a bit ago. Oh my hell...my manager sent me a Ghirardelli gift basket. All dark chocolate goodies. Oh, she knows me! I will have to really, really pace myself with all that goodness. I appreciate it. I certainly don't need it. I will enjoy every bite, though. The nice thing is that dark chocolate is so bold that I don't tend to go too crazy with it.
Waving hi to Vicki and Lori, I hope you are having a great weekend.
Later, Ginia

Good morning, Happy Christmas Eve! Virginia - ghirardelli is the best, ration and enjoy, that was a very sweet gift😆 Lori - a letter to Santa is very practical. My DH hate shopping and a list is my present to him. A gala, sounds wonderful.
The cookies turned out great but the cake fell. I am sick today , so not going to Colorado Springs. It is the ugliest cake I have ever made, DH is being wonderful and saying it tastes good. Time for a nap. Debbie

Merry Christmas eve...!
Hosting a family gathering tonight...I am so excited for the season...
I paid for 2 layaways for christmas...it was such a great feeling...the girl,at the counter, said the one layaway was a single mom with a 6 year old! The mom opened it up in July and has paid 6 dollars a week..FaLaLa...! I paid 52 dollars to pay it up...I was trying to imagine the moms expression when she found up it was paid off...
I love helping others!
Peace... Lori

Good morning and Merry Christmas!
Lori, that was so sweet. I love helping others too. That is really nice that you write Santa every year. You are a good person.
Vicki, hope Santa was good to AJ ;-)
Debbie, hope you are feeling better today.
Virginia, you made me laugh with "oh my hell" on the candy. I would be saying the same thing.
Lou, I tried to watch Pitch Perfect 2 and thought what is the big deal with these movies. I didn't see the first one.
Okay off to open presents.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Brenda
