Good morning,
Lori, I can't remember the last time I wrote a letter to Santa, but I like the idea. You were quite a Santa, paying off that layaway. That is very kind and generous. We FaceTimed with the DGDs and their parents on Christmas morning. We got to see DGD#1 playing with some of the items we sent to her. And DGD#2 just smiled and looked like a little angel.
Debbie, LOL...my DH likes a list, also. I am sorry that you were sick! How are you feeling today? The cake might not look so pretty but it can still be a yummy thing, so DH may have been both kind and truthful.
Lou, great point about brownies. And most people love them!
Vicki, did AJ have a great Christmas?
Brenda, I have not seen any of the Pitch Perfect movies...between your assessment and Lou's, I think that I must not be missing a lot. After I actually opened the gift basket, the amount of chocolate is not as huge as it first appeared. The packaging is quite deceiving. I am still rationing it.
Today is work. Our Christmas with family was different this year all around. It was nice to not have two family meals on the same day. DH's family met for lunch at a Chinese buffet on Christmas Eve. The interesting thing is that DH didn't go because he doesn't like Chinese food. DS#2 and I had a coffee date after the luncheon, so I was able to spend some nice relaxing time with him. Yesterday we had dinner with most of my immediate family at DNiece's house. STBX DBIL was invited but did not attend. DS#2 did not attend. I thought that my late DNephew's kiddos were not going to be there, but I was very glad to see them come in with DBIL and SIL. I am having lunch with DS#2 today. FPs will have to be earned this evening.
Happy Tuesday, Ginia

Good morning
Virginia, thanks for the start. You have had a busy couple days! That's great you got so much family time in. I did not see any of my family this year. Just my DSon and I which was fun and relaxing.
Lori, how much snow did you get?
Waving to all
I am reading a book on my kindle that a member at my WW meeting recommended. It is called "100 Days of Weight Loss" the secret to being successful on any diet plan. I just started it. It was only $2.99. I am really going to try and refocus and turn some of my bad habits around for 2018.

Good morning.
Cecilia picked up the crud and is a coughing mess now. I read a Smithsonian article last night about the 1918 Spanish Flu and now I'm pretty sure she's going to kill us both as a result.
The first Pitch Perfect movie was "cute". Formulaic good guys beat adversity tale with the up & down romance, etc. You can find it on cable without too much trouble. The others are, essentially, trying to find the same groove.
Sorry there wasn't as much chocolate as you thought there was, Virginia. But, I'm glad that you had an easier Christmas and got to see nearly everyone.
I'm assuming the book is focused on the mental aspects of weight loss, Brenda?
It was butt cold yesterday and again today. I didn't make 10k steps yesterday for the first time since I hurt my knee in marathon training.
