Debbie, giving up soda is a good idea! I drink a diet coke once in a while. I have switched to sparkling water. Hope you are feeling better and had fun last night.
Waving to all
My resolution is to find my old self. I have forgotten what it feels like to be at goal. I hide from friends (old work friends) because I don't like the looks I get. Nothing mean has been said, but I can tell by the looks I get they are shocked how much weight I have put on. It's not an easy thing to admit to here on the "Successful Lifetimers" board.
Intro: Live in Maryland WW LT member since 1991 on my way back to goal Love to read and spend time with "new" friends...lol and family

Hi,
Happy New Year to all!
Thanks for starting us, Brenda. I am not making a resolution for 2018 per se, but I have set a goal to increase the amount of sleep I get. Your resolution is a good one. Do you have any steps lined out to accomplish it? Not to share here, necessarily...but for yourself to keep in mind? No judgement is coming from me for sure, I am also over goal. If those old friends are good friends, they also aren't judging you. Re: concerts, I don't remember seeing any truly awful concerts, just some that I liked better than others. I wish we still had a Sunday WW meeting here, it has been gone for a long time.
Hi Debbie, giving up soda sounds like a good resolution. For a long time I only drank it on occasion. Our work put in a fountain machine when the building got a complete renovation. I hit the Coke Zero more than I should some days, that machine is too convenient. I'm glad that you got better sleep on Saturday night. Hopefully that continues. How was the LV NYE celebration?
Today was a nice, no alarm clock day. My sleep pattern is a little skewed with Saturday's migraine plus the long weekend. My goal plan may be off to a rough start between that and an early travel day on Thursday. I will do the best I can despite those factors. I did a 5 mi WATP first thing so FP and steps are good for today. I thought about treating myself to a Starbucks run but I have no real need to get out today and it's super cold again. I have plenty to do here at home so I'm staying put.
Waving hi to Lou, Vicki and Lori...I hope you are all doing well.

Happy New Year, Brenda - thanks for the start. This will be your year. I am also above goal so no judgement from this direction. Virginia's idea of outlining small steps to get to goal is a great one. Virginia - soda is just so easy, I would be getting a fizzy water machine if we weren't moving. Great job getting in your FP early. Lori - I loved the pictures you posted, I looked so beautiful and the dress was lovely. Vicki - I hope you are well Louis - how are you and Cecille?
I am still not well, my lungs are so full of gunk. I am still coughing a lot. I hope you all avoid this. New Years on the strip was a great one time thing. We walked around until 10pm , came back to our room and then went out to see the fireworks. They were great. We awoke this morning to no water, there was a water main break . Virginia and I have had experience this before. We have to go to building 3 to get a shower. I think I need to stay in a get rid of this cold. I'm Debbie, 62, married 32 years, two grown children, DD is engaged. I am currently 5 pounds over goal.
