Happy New Year Flyangels and all those who may be lurking (you are welcomed to join us)
Edit: After making my list and looking forward to a quiet last day on vacation, we ended up in ER for DH. He passed out and had a "seizure like" episode. Not actually a seizure, something go stuck when he was eating which made him pass out. EMS came out and he was doing fine but we went to ER to have some labs and an x-ray just in case. Very scary moment for sure.
Ahhhh, a New Year! I love the first day of the new year. The possibilities are endless. Time to look at what worked well last year, what I want to change, and what I want to begin this year.
I must change my eating habits. My weight hasn't changed much since the end of last year, so it is time to shift my focus this year. I am thankful that I have now completed one year at my job which means I am no longer a "probationary" employee. It doesn't make a lot of changes, but when you work for the State, it is a good thing to be off your probationary period.
I go back to work tomorrow after a lovely 2 week vacation, so I do need to concentrate on getting ready. I did get a double batch of pasta sauce made yesterday to make the week easier and we have some ham in the freezer I will pull out towards the end of the week.
One thing I am going to work on this year is to go back to the baby steps, especially having certain days for certain tasks (I did much better when a certain day was for watering plants, changing sheets, and other weekly things).
Happy New Year to all, I hope this New Year brings joy to you and of course a organized and decluttered life.

Good Evening, Flyangels!
Cathy, glad to hear DH is doing OK, yikes! My sweetie and I are sick now with upper respiratory gunk....so, I'm pretty low-energy today. I did do some decluttering in kitchen and dining room. Will keep at it, a little at a time. Was going to have friends over for dinner tonight, but will have to reschedule.
I'll be back later with my (short!) list for tomorrow.
Be well! Carol

Good morning Flyangels and all lurking (pls feel free to join us or ask any questions) Carol: so sorry you and your sweetie have not been feeling well. Prayers are going up for you. Today is a pretty snow globe outside my window, we only got about 1.5 inches in our area, however, because we get ice on the secondary roads, I can't safely make it to work so I had to call out. I hate to do that, I am consider a mandatory staff but my supervisor tells us to make the best decision for our safety. I didn't have any appointments or meetings I just feel bad since I was just off for 2 weeks and now someone has to cover for me again.
****Took most of the day to organize pantry and make potato soup (very yummy) List: Clean out pantry (had to add because it took me for ever to find the baking powder for the bread(DONE) Work on scarf Evening routines(DONE) Make banana bread (my friend gave me lots of bananas)(DONE) Laundry I should take this day to take down my decorations, but I just love looking at my tree so that will be this weekend Budget and bills water plants
