This challenge was created six years ago by a few Weight Watchers members. We are committed to making positive and permanent lifestyle changes. Success isn’t always measured at the scale. Each day, tally the positive actions that you made the day before and then talk about the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each day, please copy, paste and get us started and, if you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas to following the plan.

Good afternoon to my positive buds! Sally and Carol must be frozen, along with Janet. My Texas friend was at 19 this morning. She didn't know how to do 19 she said. Stay warm! Yesterday was a real vegged out day for me. Carol I seemed to be fighting the blahs too. But it felt good to not work at all until 3:30 and just lie around I was doing really well OP wise until those boys just had to bring pizza in the house. So weak I am! But it is all logged, not pretty, but moving on. I had to push myself last night to get over 6K done. Today is a different story thankfully! Yes I CAN: -Get in my 10k (I was on the treadmill at 6am, walked for an hour and now have over 8k) -Stick to my OP foods, log it all. -Pick more freestyle free foods today. -Stay positive, beat the blahs! Waving to all! Nat

Interesting that we all have the blahs... political? age? season? hmmmm.... I am trying to autopilot healthy choices and not give in to the pesky voice suggesting that candy, cookies, ice cream or chips will make things better. I tried grilled nuggets from ChikfilA and practically gagged-with disappointment. I am sick of chicken, don't eat eggs and am tired of salads AND am going out for din tonight...stamp-stamp stamp... I should have responded to the "No I can't " message thread today. LOL stay tuned for the verdict-

Good Evening, positive (or blah-feeling) e-pals!
LOL on the “No I CAN’T” thread…
Sally. I know just how you feel about chicken, LOL. Re the restaurant: Do you like fish or seafood? Ask for it prepared steamed rather than breaded/fried, try a nice seasoning, some interesting veggies that you don’t normally make at home?
Well, in addition to the usual reasons, I suspect some of my blah-ness is due to a cold which was sneaking up on my sweetie and me overnight. My throat was extra dry this a.m but I dragged myself out to fitness class, felt ok during, but now feel extra tuckered out & scratchy. DBF is coughing and has a low-grade fever. Bleah. Had to postpone the post-holiday dinner (a big pan of turkey lasagna) I was to cook for our friends tonight…maybe this weekend, if we’re healthy by then.
Yes I DID: —enjoy fresh raspberries on my oatmeal —listen to my body and say “enough work—rest now” —get a call this afternoon saying there’s an opening in the community chorus after all, so I’m in it next week, if I want it! Yay!
Yes I CAN —stay warm and cozy at home…arctic blast is coming —enjoy chatting with you wonderful e-pals, who make me smile
Nat - hang in there! It is just a cycle, things WILL get better (note to self, LOL)
Be well! Be kind to yourself! Carol
