Lori, I am so sorry about your dad and mom. It is hard. Hugs and Prayers for all.
Vicki, sorry about the car. Good luck getting a new one. I am hoping mine will hold out one more year. Subaru and Ford are on my list.
Virginia, happy birthday to your son. Too bad you don't live closer to him so you could watch those babies.
Lou, good luck today!
Debbie, that's great the move went so well. Happy Birthday to your son.
I had a great time with my friend this past weekend. Now to get back on track.

Good morning.
((Lori))
Sitting in a new (to me) Subway this morning. I've decided that I may need to be one of "those people" who carry a backpack as my leather messenger bag doesn't play well in the rain. Cecilia dropped me at the train to save me some of the soaking.
I'm Lou. A 44 y/o married CPA and WW leader in the Chicago burbs.

Hi,
Thanks for starting us, Brenda. Nice that you had a good weekend away and time with your friend. Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS. Yes, the distance is tough sometimes between here and there.
Hi, Debbie, you had a very busy weekend. I hope you can get settled and relax a bit this week. DSis hired movers to get the furniture out of her house to our attic and she decided it was well worth the $. I also am a big fan of the backup camera. I'm on my second car with one. My first experience with one was with DS#1's truck and I was instantly loving it.
Hi, Lou. I think the Crosstrek is kinda cute, actually...but not sure it would make my short list. Unpaid time is not encouraged, but possible. I do have the option to work remotely so that I could spend evenings with the FL family. I did that last year when I was there for nearly two weeks, I used some vacation time and worked some of the time. The budget gets to be a concern, though. The more days I stay, the more days I have to pay for lodging. Love Target! We are getting a Costco here sometime within the next several months. Sounds like you might need some fire resistant waders for the new gig. As the company grew, the processes did not grow and change with it. I am sure that you will conquer the challenge. I started carrying a backpack about 5 years ago and now I wonder what took me so long. :-) It is pouring rain here this morning, also.
Hi, Lori. I am sorry that your parents are not doing well, and that your dad is in especially frail condition. Losing a child really takes a toll no matter the age of the parents, and I suspect the older the parents, the tougher it can be. I can tell you that my DB and DSIL are still not in such a good place since losing DNephew almost three years ago. Hugs and prayers going to you and your family as you work through the situation. You have so many resources that many families do not, since you are familiar with this in the professional sense. It is so different since this is personal, I have no doubt.
Waving hi to Vicki and wishing you happy car shopping. I love the shopping part but ugh, negotiations stink.
Yesterday's dinner with DNiece was enjoyable. It was nice to run errands and not have to deal with slick conditions. Today is work and DNephew's basketball game after work. P/T w/o has been rescheduled to Thursday, as his DD is to be induced today and his DGS will arrive sometime today. He's taking time off to spend with them.

Take care, Ginia

Good morning, Brenda - thanks for the start. I am glad to hear you had a fun weekend. The journal challenge continues. Lou - do you any firemen, you might get a used coverall. I hope your new subway works out for you. Virginia - how exciting for your PT! Yippee to clear roads. I hope DNephew wins.
The crosstrex is cute but people here that buy them find that they do not the power needed for the mountain driving. Today will be continuing to clear the old house, organizing here, thanking yet another load to donate, climbing and TM. I'm Debbie, 62, married 32 years, in the middle of moving out of the house we lived in 22 years and moving into the house we bought half of with DD and her STBDH.

Debbie Thanks for your help. I thought the Forester had more pep and picked that over the Crosstrek. It also had more cargo space and a better drivers view.
