Good morning.
Trying to decide if getting up and moving is worth it this a.m. ! In spite of yesterday's exercise overload, my personal scale is not my friend this morning. Don't know what it's going to take to get these 5 lbs gone for my 'vanity' personal goal but whatever I'm doing/not doing isn't it!
Wishing you all a cheerful day!

Good morning Pat and ATF!
I'm sorry the scale is not moving despite your efforts! So frustrating!
I am re-joining WW, next session here at work starts on 2/9, but trying to apply what I know ahead of time and not look at it like I have 2 - 3 weeks of a free for all before I start back.
Typical work day.. then off to the gym after work
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Tuesday to All. Possible rain rolling in here. Expecting another busy work day. Will try to get some steps in between the rain. I have put my early morning walks on hold with the changing weather and cold and dark. Will get those back in swing as the days grow longer and warmer.

Good morning all. pbnj,I know I'm the last person to ask this but are the "vanity" lbs for a cushion so you won't go over your goal or do you feel uncomfortable at the weight you are at now?I know I want to have a 5 lb cushion even though I'm not going to meetings.I don't look at them as vanity lbs so much as a way not ever to get over the top of the weight range WW set for me b/c I know how fast I can gain. dina,I think you are wise to not use this time as a free for all.Good for you.So many people who are planning to lose weight have one last splurge b/c they think they will never get to eat certain foods again but we on WW know that isn't true. Plans include going to Curves then heading to Bastrop to get heart worm prevention for the dog and buying a few more groceries. Everyone have a great day!

Pat โ If you did exercise overload yesterday, you are very likely retaining water. Hang in there. Good for you for starting now Dina Enjoy Beth and Becky. Charlie (and therefore I) had a good night last night. When I got up for the gym this morning, he climbed under the covers and was snoring when I left. Fortunately, the vet allowed me to use the soft collar on him (Pro Collar). He doesnโt mind it which makes recovery that much easier on both of us.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had a NICE 3 day weekend and didn't do much of anything! OK, I did clean the house, do laundry, and go to yoga yesterday! Saturday, I got up, took a shower, and put on clean PJs! LOL It was so nice! Today is my day to run the MIL to her appointments. She's starting to have some symptoms related to her treatments, but overall is still doing wonderful (this is the start of week 4). Her care team is wonderful and are helping her to deal with the nausea and sore throat. I'm trying to mix up my breakfast and work in oats. I've done the refrigerator/overnight oats before, so let's see if this will help kick in my weight loss again! I hope you all have a good day! ETA: I'm wearing flip flops today! It was 56 when I left home, and is supposed to drop down to 45, but I DON'T CARE! my toes are happy!!

Good morning!, sounds like everyone is off to a good (short) week. J did sell the car yesterday, but we still have it for a few days while the paperwork is getting finished, so another trip north later in the week. I had a quiet day yesterday, did some rotator cuff exercises and yoga, so that felt productive, and I've started an online *mindful eating* course, which I hope I will stick with!, I know I can use the effort. Trying the new cleaning lady today, why is that stressful I want to know? Surely because I want it to work out and not have to think about it anymore. We watched "Spotlight" last night...SO good. We were living in Boston in 2001 and certainly knew about it, but it didn't affect our little world personally, so there was much to learn in the movie. dina You are SMART. As borntexan said, I always fell into the trap of thinking I'd *never* be able to eat something again. I was always putting off beginning (don't be me!) neen No doubt, for me, the side effects got worse as the time passed, but it all sounds so positive for MIL. susiq25679 Hurrah for Charlie! Have a good one!

Heading over to WW this morning. Getting laundry done yesterday as well as cleaning and organizing the kitchen made me feel productive. When dd and I got to rehab to visit dh, he decided we should join him in the dining room for dinner. Mindful eating was easy as well. Ready for another productive with reasons to smile.

Good morning! More rain in Houston today but not like yesterday. We got 2.5" of rain in about 3 hours with periods of more rain during the day. The weather guessers (love that term, @beckyw2016 !) told us to expect rain every day this week. Can't complain, though, because our temps will be in the 60s. Weird winter for sure! pbnj I agree that you may be retaining water. Keep at it and the scale will follow. susiq25679 Glad Charlie is doing well. It's hard when our fur babies are hurting. neen glad your MIL is doing well with chemo. I think the medical community has made big strides in alleviating symptoms for patients. Good luck. Glad your toes are happy too! ksbruns I can't imagine selling our 2nd car yet. Of course, in Texas, cars are a necessity while I'm sure there are many ways in Boston to live without a car. Of course, he can always get another if the need arises. pamthomas46 Glad DH is doing well. I love your "keep smiling" attitude because I bet it helps everyone!

Back to work after a 3 day weekend. I worked out with my niece yesterday (she's starting paramilitary training next week and works out like crazy) and boy am I sore today Hope everyone has a good day!

linda72...truly *no way* in TX, if one can afford multiple cars, and it would have been hard even in Salem. But, we are literally on the bus line, his car is/was 9 years old, and it just felt smart to sell it before it had to be hauled somewhere. He definitely told himself *I can always get another*, LOL, but I don't envision a problem sharing since I'm taking the bus some, too. It'll be a nice savings with insurance which is crazy expensive here, so I think, a win. And @pamthomas I will echo DebDoesWW....it was a very slow lesson for me that I control a lot of outcomes by how I look at things, but I'm a believer.

It was a rough weekend for my husband and I. On Sunday we got back from the grocery store to find my pet little bird EXTREMELY sick. We were so scared we thought he was going to die then and there. It seems that he had a concussion. We did everything we were supposed to do for him and gradually he improved. We're still babying him and he seems so much better. He's 14 years old and partially blind so he's so prone to hurting himself. We try to discourage him from flying and will take even more extra precautions now.
Now I'm feeling a little under the weather, but improving. I had an earache last night, chills, and sneezing. Then I woke up without these, but with an upset stomach. I currently feel OK after a shower and hope I stay this way. I have errands to run, but am afraid to spend much time away from my pet bird.
I was doing well with my diet until last night. I think because of the anxiety I felt compelled to bake. The sucker (a strawberry kiwi upside down cake) is so good. I'm going to have to eat it in extreme moderation from this point forward. Even my husband has been eating out of anxiety.

Cyndee, glad your birdie is ok. Good news about Charlie, Susiq And glad to hear your MIL is doing well, Neen
Raining a little right now but temp is above freezing so I hope we don't get icing.
My cleaning ladies were early this morning & I hadn't finished cleaning before they got here! Why do,I clean before they get here?๐
Not much going on here. Feeling a little punky as my Mother used to say.
Time to feed the pie hole.
