affirmation - I have no problem sticking to the whole 30 plan health goal - veggies, bring 'em on baby! fitness goal - LBWO and core on the floor fitness report - 30 min rebound and weights circuit style, 1 hr ballroom dance class gratitude - a balmy January. It's weird but cool. Feels like March and we've had so much rain. We'd be snowed in if it were cold.
I've got an uncontrollable urge to make another baby quilt, so I'm doing it! Haha! I'm gonna sew flylady style. Setting my timer for 30 min increments and doing something off my 'to do' list in between.

Greetings all! Sorry to be absent for a couple of days. I wasn't online too much over the weekend, spent most of the free time enjoying my Steven King Christmas present and my Oprah cookbook. I attended a meeting on Saturday but waited until it was over and checked in with a no-weigh pass. The line was to the back of the room for the full hour! I do need to weigh this weekend and have a visual of that scale in my mind so I make better choices until then. Daily Affirmation - I'm in it to lose it (my holiday weight gain, that is). Fitness Report - weight training. Health Goal - eat to support a healthy weight and to obtain nutrients. Gratitude - being back in a routine, again. So, had my semi-annual check-in with my naturopathic doctor. She told me I've got to get serious again about maintaining a walking program, and once I'm back in the habit, to start wearing a backpack with a three pound dumbbell, and work my way up to 10 pounds. Where to fine the time! But, it needs to be done. I will try to chat a bit later - hoping everyone is well.

Lisa, what a cool new avatar, love it!! You go, girl, with another baby quilt! What colors are you using for this one? I'm am so with you on the veggies this week! I'm aiming to eat two servings a day, which is stretch for me.
Pat, I love your new avatar too! Such a beautiful place to walk and, yes, an wonderful visual invitation to get out there and enjoy it! Do you like the new Oprah cookbook you got?
I'm enjoying as much fresh air and sunshine as I can today and early tomorrow because multiple days of rain after that are in the forecast. It was nice enough to sit out back on the patio for awhile yesterday and I'm hoping for the same today.
Daily Affirmation - Breathe in out, breathe out...repeat! Fitness Report - Back to morning walk routine today, logged 45 minutes. Dog walk soon. Health Goal - Veggies, water, and mindful portion control. Gratitude - Guided meditation by davidji about finding one's dharma and purpose in life. Posed some thought-provoking questions about what brings joy, identifying gifts and talents, and how to utilize them to help others. Hmmm...

Anetta, I see you really must not like vegetables? ? I am lucky I love salad and almost all veggies. I eat them at almost every meal. I'm making a boy quilt from scraps. I started with a fabric of frogs on lily pads in greens with bits of blue, yellow, and red, so I just picked those same colors out of my stash, and chose some kid looking patterns like stripes and checks. I'm challenging myself to get it done in a day. Not sure if that will happen, but it's fun to try. My flylady tactics are working. I've had an extremely productive day! took out the ole Bowflex for LBWO, did squats and lunges on the side with minitramp. Hoping to get in a walk w/ DH tonight. Pat, your picture of the path looks amazing! I wish I had something that pretty near my house.
