How did WORK IT WEDNESDAY go for ya' ? For me, so-so... overate chips with the "healthy" Subway for supper...but it is tracked - moving on - also got the kitchen cleaned up... DD is coming home today to cook... So THINK FIRST... today... yes thinking ahead... B: Oven omelet... with watermelon S:Greek yogurt L:Salad w/ chicken S: Cottage cheese w/ a FEW crackers D: Chicken Parm w/ Spaghetti Squash, wine.Nadine: Thanks... As usual, I feel like the "failure" while everyone else on the Plexus FB pages are doing FANTASTIC... and I am muddling along... but it is what it is... maybe others that are not doing as well, are like me... don't want to post it "out there"... I need to remind myself that those folks that are doing so well, probably have done something "drastic"... which I know wouldn't kill me... but.... obviously I am not in that mindset - yet - again - still - so here I am...

Sue: yikes, another person out... YAY for you coming home to a healthy dinner before you let your holiday stuff get in the way!
Gabrielle: LOL Sorry hun, but if you are still doing the webinar and board meeting - that's not "really" calling out sick!! Good try though! I hope you had a half way decent day overall - and got some things done...
OH I have a question for everyone... since switching boards, have you had any computer issues?? It is probably coincidence... I clicked on a link on my Verizon homepage, and switched boards on the same day - so wondering which one (I believe Verizon is to blame) is the culprit!
Gabrielle: I am with your boys - ANY disruption in my "routine" makes ME nuts too!!
Jo: Thanks... yeah... just gotta DO IT.. without all the helpful products that are out there... I am "thinking" about coaching with Heather, maybe after the first of the year... when we know how our finances are panning out...or a weekly visit to the nutritionist... either way I have to be READY!
Jenny: LOL We get that around here often too... they close schools because of the forecast... then it puttzes out!
Sue: YAY for healthy dinner first... but what about your swimming?? When do you get that for YOURSELF???

Shelly: Hope you got some rest...

Listening to a HSM Webinar while here...making me think of different CHANGES I can/should make with my life to get this weight off... but don't feel I have the strength to actually DO IT!
I am really struggling (again) with the girls at work... feeling like I don't "compare" - I don't "fit in"... makes for long days... really NEED to get past it...not sure how to "get there"!
Meanwhile... I continue to track... drink my water...will "use up" the Plexus stuff I have on hand... and work towards finding a new track to get on in 2 weeks... just after Christmas - I need to FIND MY NICHE on this weight loss journey!

Good Morning ~ in the midst of a snowstorm...still going into work. Remember Dragon Lady changed the ruling that our school buildings will always be open to offer child care if school's are closed to accommodate the working parents. So administrators and teachers MUST report to work. Whatever - I'm glad as I have a ton to do and today is my last day Yesterday I just wasn't 'feeling it' as far as working a Plan, any Plan, just a Plan...I think I'm having serious anxiety over this Friday's knee surgery and I have no idea why. I've done this 4x already - I know the drill. I know it's not major surgery, just a look-see...I am not sure why I'm a bundle of nerves...wide awake last night for most of the night. THAT has not happened in years - where I was so alert it might as well have been mid-day!

Yesterday was a difficult work day - big parent meetings that did not go our way - which I suspected they wouldn't as CEO took that rigid business approach when in my opinion we needed a listening ear, therapeutic, guidance. Later the CEO realized I was right but too late now. The parent is mad and hiring a lawyer and advocate and we will have to defend our decision. It's the right decision for the child (needs far more structure than a Montessori classroom) so I stand by our data. Had a heart to heart with the CEO late after hours - he expects me to "run the building" in addition to all I do plus help get the Prince in a position to run the other campus. Trust me, I know I can rise to the occasion but I shouldn't have to train the Prince too! geesh...sorry for the rant. On to happier news! Both Girls are home tonight! Both have early morning Finals so Carly will be home right after but Linds has to wait for the parent of a friend to gather them. I'm very relieved as we don't have to drive down in this storm to pick her up BUT I will offer to drive both girls back in January. Since both DDs attend State Universities, they have same time off - and since the latest 'thing' is for our colleges to offer a Winter Term, the majority of students who don't need extra classes/credits are off until January 23. Crazy

Finished one side-job report. Good feeling to get that off my plate. I'll be typing work-work reports from home as I can, during my recovery time. Would love to just SIT on the couch and read fiction books - might still make time to do it as I recover, plus wrap presents. All Christmas shopping is done! Since returning from the Conference last week I have gained. So...after my surgery I will look for a Plan to Start Over Final Time I'm really out of the loop for Personals. I apologize. Will do better in the upcoming days, I promise Off to prep something (chicken I'm thinking) in the crockpot for dinner tonight. We are baking Christmas cut-outs since BOTH girls are home and the snowstorm will curtail any of their social plans for a bit!

Morning all...need to scoop out a little early to bring the box to ship to Hannah back to the shipping department!! Always nice to save $$$ on FedEx....we get to take advantage of our "volume discount" for packages!! Is only $2-5 savings per package but it adds up over the years!! I can send a HUGE box to Hannah for about $10. Hers should arrive by Tuesday barring weather!
No, I have not been to the pool all week....yes, I miss it! But with all I still have to do, I just decided I need the extra 1 1/2 hours in the evening to finish without causing more stress than normal! The one nice thing is that I'm off Friday - Monday next weekend for the holiday so I can wrap the last of the gifts and all the finishing touches can get done then. Even with that, our work party is Tuesday so need to get all the "treats" done for delivery around the plant that day! I always bring all the guys/supervisors and everyone in the Production office peanut brittle & cookies!
So again tonight...I'll make 2 more batches of brittle...brings the total up to 10 batches so far...usually make 16-18 batches a year!
Today is Jackson's Christmas program at lunch time...will run over to the church for the program and then come back and finish my day...I'm usually one gone about an hour at most!! Lunch plus a 1/2 tacked onto the end of the day!
Did a quick skim of the posts....yay for the girls coming home Christine, don't worry about the surgery, all will be great!!
Gabrielle...with the webinar & meeting at night, it wasn't really a day off, but close I guess!
Nadine...sorry the coaching didn't pan out again...you will find just the right combo to make this work!!
Carole...enjoy your upcoming "sick day"! Only fair that they have to pick up the slack for you!
Waves to Sherry, Jo, Jenny, Lisa and anyone else I missed!
Like you Christine...I'm way out of the loop!
I'm off!

Good morning! I vowed to jump on here at work quick this morning! Now it is single digit air temps - 6 I think when I came in. Shouldn't be surprised just don't like it!
Good morning Nadine - thanks for starting us up!
Carole-I didn't get much exercise in on Work it Wednesday except walking down the street for work to sort the mail in another building and also did a lot of steps walking around in stores but didn't buy much...
Sue-staying the same is good. I am sure that you do miss your pool time but I understand the need for the time to do other things!
Christine-sorry for the difficult day at work yesterday. And rants can reduce stress!
I hope that I can get DH to go shopping with me today. Some of the things I looked at for Kennedy I just wasn't sure about. But then again, I haven't bought baby things for about 26 years!
We have Christmas at my side of the family planned for Sunday. My sister and I are bringing in food, and also my oldest daughter and my niece. Dad lives about 2 hours south of Chicago and 1 hour north of me, so I hope that after the Friday/Saturday front moves through all the roads are good. Also I hope that we can convince dad to open up the curtains a bit even though he thinks the light hurts his eyes. I have given the kids a heads up on what to expect. Also potential drama between my brother (who lives with my dad) and my sister (who is the oldest and likes to take charge) so I am praying for a peaceful meal on what could be our Dad's last as he is 95 and very slowly getting less mobile, etc. I hope that with the excitement of seeing Kennedy for the first time he will forget about the things that bother him!
Back to work - discovering hotel reservations made for seminar speakers that I have no record of in paper and computer files...

Hi Everyone! Didn't sleep very well last night. Christmas is so close and I get paid the day after we,are leaving. We have just a few more things to get, little stuff like stocking stuffers. Snacks for the ride and food for next week as Monday is their last day. Thwy both have finals Friday and Monday. Had a bad day yesterday. Started the morning out with Emilie and I getting into it. Well let me rephrase that she said some hurtful things out of the blue to me. Just when I think we can have a normal Motherr/Dd relationahip, a,close one she says or does something very hurtful to me. In the part I have just moved on if responding wasn't warranted I did not over would talk about it. This time I shut down and don't know how to get past this. She knows what she did/said was hurtful but really doesn't care.
How do I handle this as a Mom?
Sorry to spill all that but it had been weighing heavy on mind.
Sorry need to far back to work. No time foe personals
Waves to everyone!

Good evening! Sitting here at the hair salon waiting for my color to process. I am trying out the Samsung voice keyboard to see how it works. I have been in Sacramento all day in a meeting that continues through tomorrow. It was pouring rain driving up here and really terrible to drive in, but we really need the rain so I feel like I can't complain. Starting on Friday our lows are going to drop to 27 degrees... Can you believe it?
Hey this Google Voice typing is working pretty well!
Carole: wow, that would be great if you had had her as a coach! She seems like she would be so supportive and such a good listener and her experience with the amazing. I hope that works out for you somehow. Sorry to hear the plexus isn't working the way that you had hoped. Don't you think that maybe the people who post on Facebook are only the people that are having a good experience with it? I would think the people that weren't doing so well with it wouldn't take the time to post. Just a thought. Yesterday was great to have off. I just feel like I got a good handle on everything that has to be done.

Carole (cont.): such a bummer that you don't feel like you fit in at work. I look forward to when you get to speak with Karen, because I know you always feel better after that. Hope that Friday is a good day for you.
Jo: well, right now I am feeling like a very inadequate parent, but I remember one time someone told me that it is our teenagers job to make us question ourselves as parents and sometimes just not feel so good. I guess that sometimes I keep that in mind when one of my kids has one of those moments where they hurt my feelings. I'm sorry that your day started that way, and I'm sure you're right that she knows that what she said hurt your feelings. I am trying to remember... Where are you guys going for Christmas?
