Good afternoon,
Ann, hope the oncologist visit goes well. June, your head start is amazing. We' I'm a bit down today, not sure why. We'll have carrot soup for dinner. It's very cold for here!
A good Thursday to all.

Just got back on-line. Still waiting for the technician --- I finagled and finagled and finagled. Then once the router said good to go --- the computer told me my IP# was missing --- so I restored to an earlier date.
Be back later to read and catch up.
Tam, can you please share your carror soup recipe? It sounds interesting to me.

Found my quote for today: "How far you go in life is yet to be seen." Sketched out my daily menu around good health guidelines & chicken stir fry for dinner. June, that is an excellent quote. When I heard Wes Moore speak at Town Hall his quote for us was "You live up to the expectations you set for yourself." He is a success in life yet the other Wes Moore in his town grew up to be a criminal who is now in jail. Hi, Dawn. This is a great group. Naomi, seems like you are having a wonderful time with your family this week. Susi, just like Lily Belle your Charlie is a brave animal...wind, rain, sleet or snow or cold, cold, cold. La Donna and MJ, I am glad this is your last day of the work week. La Donna, I hope you had a good lunch. I had a nice visit with my friend and then went to the Dollar Tree near her for some tupperware type containers. Her store is beautiful, clean and large and had exactly what I needed. I had the leftover lentil tomato soup for lunch with hot tea so just doing things until my dentist appointment. Never take life for granted. I have a friend of over 40 years who is a few years older than me. She was crossing a street where she lives in So California and was hit by a car. She is doing ok but had a concussion and was unconscious for 20 minutes. She is healing well but has relied on friends and neighbors because she has no nearby family. I need to hear more now about happy things!

Tam, Sorry you're feeling down. Hope that feeling passes quickly. Carrot soup sounds good. How do you make yours?
Bee, hope your tech issues are worked out soon!
Audrey, a new Dollar Tree opened up about 10 minutes from my house and I just love it! It is so clean, well organized and stocked with great seasonal things as well as everyday items. Glad your friend is going to be ok.
Our lunch at work was very good. Of course I have no idea how many points I had. I need to sit down and think about exactly what I ate and see if I can come up with a number. I did not eat too much but I did eat a few samplings of sweet treats. I have sweets so rarely anymore I am not going to feel too guilty. Hope everyone is having a good day!

I am so past tired it isn't funny!!!! It was a very long but rewarding day. First off I went to Weight Watchers and although my 'eating' has NOT been stellar I ended up losing .2 and I'll take it!
Then we stopped and had to kill time before my appointment at 2:00 p.m. The doctor was running late, so that delayed us. Poor Carl feel asleep in the waiting room. Thank goodness we were the only ones in there at the time LOL.
The doctor was WONDERFUL!!!! She had such a calm and easy going way about her. When my surgeon said that she has 'common sense' he hit the nail on the head. I feel so blessed in having found three wonderful doctors that are going to be taking care of me.
Sorry for not doing personals.......
Time to shut down and relax.

That's great news, Ann, that all three of your doctors are "just what YOU ordered".
