We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they are hatched.

Hey we learn something new about this pretender in the WH everyday. Who would have guessed that he's not braggadocios?!! Not me. Nope! I never would have guessed that. Loved the guy in the back who couldn't keep from chuckling when that remark came out of the JA's mouth. Sometimes it must be hard to be a JA groupie.

For my fellow treasonous and unAmerican buddies here . . . What would Theodore Roosevelt think now? Another thing I learned yesterday, is that if we're not all in lock step cheering wildly each time this buffoon makes a remark we are being unAmerican and treasonous. If that's the new definition of those words, then I guess that's what I am. How can his followers listen to his continuous crap and not run and hide? Instead, they just cheer him on like brainwashed fools. I understand approving of policies that I disapprove, but to go along and cheer statements like that? I will NEVER understand that.

Ok, it's 3 out of 3 at our house with aches, cough, headache chills etc. UGH! I made a grocery store run yesterday morning before I felt really sick, so we are well stocked so one of us doesn't have to go outside. It's COLD out there -9 Degrees.
So, JA lawyers don't want him to go for Mueller interview. Probably wise since they know he will be caught lying...LOL..They know their client well.
I wonder how Obama,Hilary, Pelosi, Schummer & those treasonous Dem's" will be blamed for stock market activity. They will, be blamed, somehow.
Going to snuggle down for the day. Hope everyone stays healthy.

Oh Linda, so sorry you are sick too. Wish I lived close enough to bring your dinner or run any errands for you. It's good that you got to the grocery store yesterday before this hit you. You were expecting it, and it's good you are prepared. -9 makes me shiver, but for you that's actually warmer than yesterday. As I've said before, you North Dakotans are tough, so hopefully you will beat this illness quickly. Feel better soon my friend!
You just have to laugh about the irony of the stock market falling. I'm sure it will correct itself, but the JA has tied himself to it so thoroughly and then as he was giving his speech it just kept showing it going further down. What happens this year, yes, the JA can take credit or blame about whichever it goes. What happened in 2017 he can try to take credit for, but anyone who has any understanding knows that was all Obama and his administration simply inherited by the JA. But then, he inherited his money to begin with so he's used to taking credit for things he didn't do.

Yes, no way could he sit down and answer questions without tying himself up in a bow. He can't open his mouth without saying an easily disprovable lie, and his enormous ego would just push him over the brink. His lawyers do know him.

"We don't live in a dictatorship or a monarchy. I swore an oath—in the military and in the Senate—to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, not to mindlessly cater to the whims of Cadet Bone Spurs and clap when he demands I clap," Sen. Tammy Duckworth tweeted Monday evening." ---- Go Senator Duckworth!!

I love Senator Duckworth! Cadet Bone Spurs. LOL!!
Love the quote from President Roosevelt too. Every now and then it's so refreshing to hear or see something spoken by a real president. A man of honor, intellect, and courage. A leader the people looked up to and respected.
Men like Teddy Roosevelt is one of the reasons I can not, and will not, refer to the lying, cheating, cowardly, maniac that somehow managed to slither into the Oval Office. IMHO, I'd be demeaning real presidents. No can do.
Linda, I hope all three of you have a speedy recovery. Good Thoughts going out to your family.

IMHO, I'd be demeaning real presidents. No can do. Yes, how far the Republican party has fallen. Most of these mindless followers of the JA probably don't even know Teddy Roosevelt was a republican. Heck! They probably don't even know he was a president. Judging from the way he loved the environment and the words he left behind for us, I think he would be heartbroken to see what is transpiring now.

"It would be nice to help Puerto Rico recover from the hurricane, but that money is badly needed to stage an enormous military parade in DC." -- Andy Borowitz ------------ This JA is a total ego-maniacal lunatic. But then I guess he's using Putin, Kim Jong-Un, and let's not forget Herr Hitler as role models.

Bread and Circus:
"A phrase used by a Roman writer to deplore the declining heroism of Romans after the Roman Republic ceased to exist and the Roman Empire began: “Two things only the people anxiously desire — bread and circuses.” The government kept the Roman populace happy by distributing free food and staging huge spectacles.
This phrase originates from Rome in Satire X of the Roman satirical poet Juvenal (circa A.D. 100). In context, the Latin panem et circenses (bread and circuses) identifies the only remaining cares of a Roman populace which no longer cares for its historical birthright of political involvement."
Starting to sound familiar?
Linda so sorry to hear that you are ill. Get better quickly kid.
