Good morning.
Heard back from the mechanic. Bad news. It'll be at least $3,000 + parts to rebuild the transmission up to $5,000 to replace it outright if the parts tab gets too high. I mean, seriously, I just got my first paycheck in over a year and BAM!
Yesterday, I decided that my predecessor doesn't ever want to meet me in a dark alley. Or even a well-lit alley. I tripped over a non-profit no-no while trying to help the president create financials that he can actually use (instead of the kind designed for IRS reporting). So, that chewed up a few hours with documenting, curing and explaining the issue to everybody and their grandmother what had happened. It's a 'win' in that I found it and not the auditors a few months from now, but dayum, I need something to work on its own for a while. KWIM?

Debbie - here's how I get pictures on here. And this is important because you'll be in Spain and we're going to need occasional proof of life pictures. You'll use imgbb.com to upload pictures. It will store them and provide a snippet of Bulletin Board Code (BBCode) to copy and paste into your posts. Go to the imgbb.com site and select 'start uploading'. Depending on your phone or computer, it'll prompt the appropriate file explorer. Pick a photo. It'll then prompt you to adjust your photo if you want or to upload it. You'll upload and then get a final screen like this. From the drop down box below the image, select BBCode Full Linked and copy the gibberish in the box below it. Paste that nonsense into your post here and viola!

Good morning
Lou, thanks for the start. Sorry about the car. I know that is an expensive fix.
Lori, good to see you. Hope you have a good day.
Debbie, I give you credit for even attempting the climbing!
Virginia, you got a lot of steps in yesterday helping your DSis. I hope all went well.
Vicki, how are you doing?
Getting back to my routine after being away for a week.

Hi, Thanks for starting us, Lou. Uggggghhhh...I was really hoping that the car repair was not going to be very costly. My sympathies, I thought my parking lot damage bill for my car was bad enough. It was too close to the low estimate for your repairs for my comfort. I am going to continue to hope that your cost ends up being as low as possible. Wow, your predecessor left quite a few large, smelly piles didn't he? What a mess. I'm impressed with your coffee station. I know DS#1 would love to have such a setup. Hi Lori, I hope that your wrist is feeling better. How are the 'rents recovering? Hi Brenda, so many of yesterday's and Sunday's steps were up and down stairs. Not only that, but carrying items up and down said stairs. I was wiped out last night once I got home. I slept like a rock. I'm glad you had a great WW meeting. I like my current leader but am missing having a buddy in the meeting. Things are going fairly well at DSis', but she has had to have maintenance in twice so far. Yesterday's visit was partially because they didn't fix something right the first time, and partially for a newly discovered issue. She is going to have to have them in again because the drain in the fridge is plugged. HVAC tech has to check out the furnace, too. The good news is that the item that wasn't fixed properly the first time now is really fixed and the new issue got addressed, also. Hi Debbie, safe travel wishes to you today. Yes, I am sure I got FPs from moving both days. I discovered when checking my Fitbit app this morning that I was up and down and back and forth enough at one point yesterday that it got counted as an actual exercise session. Congrats on the new bed frame, sounds like you got headboard/footboard since you mention refinishing? You had a busy Monday. Today is another full day, back at work and dealing with all the items that came in yesterday plus today's e-mails. Yoga at midday, volunteer opportunity right after work and then DNephew's basketball game. Last night was the last game of regular season and tonight is a tournament game. The tournament is single elimination, so this could be the last game of the season. Or not. I should get home a bit earlier this evening than the past couple of nights. Waving hi to Vicki. Take care, Ginia
