Good morning to all. Sounds like everyone is up and going early today. Houston has more rain today. We've had over 7" this week but the weather guessers promise it will end later today. lmenglish How was the "Egg Roll Bowls" recipe you made? Our newspaper printed the recipe yesterday but I will wait for a review from you before proceeding with it. Sounds good. Hope Diva and Heather are feeling better soon. susiq25679 Hope Charlie is improving too. Beth, WTG!!! You rock! ksbruns I backed into a pole too once upon a time. I felt silly that I didn't see it. But, that's why you have insurance. Hope it's not too big an inconvenience without a car.

At work and trying to read on my phone. hpeterson1951 So hard to work when sick. Subs are hard to find in flu season. ksbruns Ouch on the pole. Doesn't take much for a huge bill. linda72 7 inches of rain. Yikes@ 100gone Rodan+Fields skincare. It is mostly done online but folks often do a launch party to share information and have a gathering of friends. I will add my website to my signature as Deb nicely suggested. Will do that this weekend.

Good morning. Last night I got a decent night's sleep. The night before not so much. Woke up a little after 3:00 and couldn't go back to sleep.
I'm going in to town today to do some errands and get groceries. I was going to do it yesterday but was too tired. Today is much better.
Yesterday the temp got up to almost 40 and the snow was sliding off my roof in big chunks all afternoon. Today it isn't supposed to be quite as warm but almost. It's a nice change from the cold we've had for the past 2-3 weeks.

Good morning ladies! You've been chatty! Speaking of sleep, every night at 3:30, I seem to need to go to the bathroom. This is new. Strange. linda72, Is it the skinny taste recipe??? I loved and so did DH, he said at least 3 times how much he liked it which is unusual. It makes a huge serving!!!!!!!! ksbruns, Murphy's law with the car! Had the Trader Joe's banana muffin, warmed it up a little! Grandson loves them! And speaking of Trader Joe's, I'm having the chili lime chicken burger with a thins slice of pepper jack cheese on a sandwich thin. Side dish will be riced cauliflower mixed with salsa New zumba instructor tonight which is fun and challenging.

lmenglish Yes, Linda, the recipe in our paper said it was adapted from SkinnyTaste. Don't know what, if anything, was changed but I'm making it tonight for dinner! Yea, I love it when I have a plan. DebDoesWW We're fine out here in West Houston(Katy). Other than the freeways being slow yesterday we had no flooding, etc. Unlike other parts of Houston that were under water. We've had some rain this morning but mainly it's just drizzling and gray. So, it looks like I'm going to the store to buy the ingredients for the Egg Roll Bowls. Thanks again, Linda

Good morning everyone. Gray and rainy here again. I don't think I need to cook today given that I cooked so many things yesterday: Beef Stroganoff, Roasted Chicken, Chicken soup, English Muffin French Toast. I have a 2 PM check-up with my Diabetes doc, but that's it for the day. I may go work at the library to cover someone who is down and out with a pinched nerve. ksbruns: Kathy, that's a horrible experience. Glad it was only the car that was injured. A friend is looking at leasing a Chevy Bolt (electric car) and commented how impressed he is with the technology and it's potential to help us older drivers. I had a Nissan Leaf on lease for a couple of years and still muss its surround cameras; my current BMW has a good back-up camera and collision avoidance indicators for the entire car. These things really, really help me avoid hitting things. The collision avoidance is said to stop the car prior to a low-impact crash and to prevent hitting pedestrians, but I've had no occasions to test that technology! pbnj, Pat that's sad news about Apple discontinuing the one-on-one program. I can understand that it is probably a logistic nightmare and potentially a money loser, but I'm convinced that it is responsible for millions of dollars of equipment sales to senior citizens all over the country. Perhaps they will figure that out and bring it back. I guess a saving grace with Apple is the fact that if you take the AppleCare for a product, you can call in for support or use the Genius Bar at the stores unlimited times for three years. And when you do call in, you get knowledgeable people who aren't in a rush and don't try to brush you off...you get REAL help. I've worked with them on some nasty problems in the past, even up to having them take control of my computer remotely to perform diagnostics.

linda72 , one of the discussions that several of us had regarding the recipe was the points. Some felt that the ground pork had a lot of fat. I bought fresh ground pork and there did not seem to be fatty when I cooked it. But I drained the pork in a colander, rinsed it and then reheated. A dietician gave me this trick and it makes it pretty fat free! I use this method on ground beef.
