Hello Everyone sunrose - I think I've rebelled mentally several times when I lost a lot of weight and then gained it back. It's like I tell myself I don't deserve to be at a healthy weight. It's really strange what our minds can do to us. I hope things will get easier for you. readyandwilling - Welcome to the board and our thread. I haven't been a member of WW since 2010, so I wasn't on the old 100+ group, but I did used to read their sometimes. I have heard that they might have started their own message board on Pro-Boards so you might want to try to search them. But we are happy to have you here, there is a lot of great support amongst though who post. I think we've all started several times, not giving up is the most important thing I've been doing the old WW Momentum plan since 2015 and I've lost over 150 pounds. I met my personal goal weight last April and I'm coming up on 1 year at goal weight, but it's been really tough to stay at or below that number. Losing the weight over that 2 years was much easier than it has been to keep it off! I'm hanging in there today. I'm having issues at my house (leaking roof) so I'm dealing with that and trying not to stress eat. I hope I can make it through without doing that. Hope everyone else is doing well today.

Good morning
cj59, thanks for sharing. It's nice to know I'm not alone in my thinking. Sorry about your roof. Hope it gets fixed soon.
readyandwilling, Welcome! I have been posting on this board for several months now (if not a year?). I have 60 pounds to lose and can feel your pain on how it seems daunting. I know it can be done though. I have started over many, many, many times.
Waving to all
It is snowing hard right now. I feel in such a funk due to the weather. I will get on the TM later. Scale is coming back down after a really bad eating/drinking weekend.

Hi sunrose - You are welcome. I think a lot of us go through the same issues and thoughts with weight loss and gain. We probably think we are the only ones feeling that way though! It's snowing here too so I'm waiting for it to stop, or if not before dark, before going out and doing some shoveling. At least it's good exercise I'm doing pretty well today and have my meals planned out. It's just hard not to want to eat a lot when it's a cold, snowy day. I did make some Pumpkin Custard from a low fat recipe and it's good. I can fit this into my food plan, so it was a nice treat. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning
cj59, I need to get out and finish my driveway in a bit. The Pumpkin Custard sounds yummy. WTG planning your meals. I tried yesterday, but failed last night.

Shoveling snow and WATP are in my future ;-)

Hi everyone Thanks for the welcome! Guess I'm still figuring this app out. Just saw the messages this morning, going to have to be more diligent about checking in. As I mentioned I've started over so many times trying to figure out how to make this time different. After doing aome reading online I was looking more at emotional brain training. Seems a little intense but it also definitely makes some good suggestions around figuring out your feelings when it comes to food. There isn't a lot of information out there but the link below was helpful ...let me know what you think. theconversation.com/want-to-lose-weight-train-the-brain-not-the-body-56243

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you were able to get your snow taken care of. I did some shoveling yesterday afternoon and then this morning cleared off the cars. Nighttime eating is the worst, isn't it? It's almost like it doesn't count since it's the end of the day Hope tonight is better for you. readyandwilling - thanks for the link to the website, that article was interesting. I've always been an emotional eater. That has been the toughest thing I've dealt with these last 3 years - not eating to deal with my emotions. It might get easier for some people, but I feel like it probably never will for me and it will always be something I have to fight against. I have done a review of the Beck Diet Solution Book (over on the GDT board) and I post most every day with my credits. A lot of the skills I've learned from practicing the Beck principles has helped me some with emotional eating. I'm dealing with house issues again today (a leaking ceiling) and so I'm just trying to stay on top of that and hoping I won't lose part of my ceiling. The roofing company that came out a few weeks ago thought they solved my problem I guess, but I need a tarp over one section of my roof where the leaks are and they didn't put one up there. With the snow I have to wait until it melts to get a tarp now, but hopefully I can get that soon and then get the roof fixed. I hate dealing with house problems, and it's especially tough being on my own dealing with them. The good thing is that I've been so stressed about this stuff that I haven't felt like overeating. Usually I go to food to deal with stress, but when I'm really stressed I don't overeat. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Hi everyone! cj59, I hope that everything works out with your roof! I know how stressful house woes can be! sunrose49, hope you're doing well! readyandwilling, I think a lot of weight management is mental/emotional. Good luck! I'm doing ok. Things are going well. I haven't been trying to lose weight per se, I'm just sort of going along trying to figure things out. I'm in a much better headspace than I was though.

Hello Everyone wwlurker - It's so nice to see you posting. I'm glad to hear you are doing well and in a better headspace I'm doing pretty well today. Not as much leaking today and almost all the snow is gone from the roof, hopefully by tomorrow it will all be gone. I have an appointment on Tuesday with the Insurance Company and the Roofing Company and I'm going to push for a tarp then. I wrote out my food plan for the day and a rough one for the weekend. I might have a few temptations tomorrow when I go out, but hopefully I can manage them. Just trying to do well through April 1st for my one year weigh-in at goal weight. It will be a major personal success for me to have kept off my weight for a full year, something I've never been able to do in my life. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans and that you all have a great weekend!

Good morning
readyandwilling, thanks for sharing the link. I will check it out.
wwlurker, always good to see you. I think you might be on to something. I like your thinking ;-)
cj59, sorry you are having to deal with the house stuff. My son lives with me (for now), but all the house decisions are mine. It is hard sometimes to deal with. So happy for you with the 1 year anniversary coming up.
The sun is out today. Have already walked my dog and I am over half way to my 10K goal.

Hello! cj59, I'm so happy for your one year at goal! I find your daily posts to be very inspiring because of your successes and your struggles. Thank you for keeping it real! And glad that the roof isn't as stressful and that you have an appointment coming up to fix all that. sunrose49, TM and WATP? You're getting those steps in! Way to go! readyandwilling, This might be a little late, but ... Welcome to the boards! Weight loss is entirely mental and emotional for me, so I second the Beck Diet Solution (I call it the weight loss bible). Thank you for the article! wwlurker, Good to see you! I think there's a place where you need to strategize before you lose the weight. If you are feeling motivated, by all means, ride the wave, but if it looks like a mountain, take your time to find little steps to get you started. Sounds like you're in a great place! I went on my cruise and it was so hard!! But I maintained! Easier on a cruise: - Steps and Activity Points - Too busy to snack, good distractions Harder on a cruise: - Quantity and quality of food I (mostly) stuck to my plan of low point breakfast and lunch. And I made sure to be more mindful when I was eating dinner/dessert. I ordered a salad for an appetizer every night. All in all, I call it a win! Back to PointsPlus Life! Good luck everyone with your plans and your weight loss journeys!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you met your step goal today. I completely understand how it is to make all house decisions - I hate it! irisinnia - Congratulations on maintaining while on the cruise - that is a major achievement with all the temptations of unlimited food! I'm overeating a little bit today, but I think I can fit it into my week. I hadn't been out of the house for a bit and did some shopping today and bought a few special Easter treats. I still have one week before my 1 year at goal anniversary, so I'm hoping for another good week. I recently posted some recipes in other threads on the board and thought I'd share them with you too. Sugar Free Strawberry Jello Applesauce - this would be 0 points on Freestyle and I think PointsPlus too Ingredients:1 small box of Sugar Free Strawberry Jello Mix (.30 ounce box) - Raspberry works too 12 ounces of cold Unsweetened Applesauce - I usually buy those 6 pack of 4 ounce cups and use 3 of them 3/4 cup of boiling water Directions:1. Dissolve jello and boiling water for about 2 minutes or until mixed well 2. Add in the cold applesauce and stir to blend 3. Refrigerate for a few hours until the mixture firms up 4. Eat and enjoy Pumpkin Pudding Bake - this recipe is from an old cookbook from the 60s or 70s that has low fat recipes - it's really like a custard Ingredients:2 beaten eggs 1 cup canned pumpkin 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1 - 13 ounce can (1 2/3 cup) evaporated skimmed milk - NOTE: the cans for this milk are only 12 ounces now and I use those and don't have any problems Directions:In a bowl beat together the eggs, pumpkin, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir in evaporated skimmed milk. Place six 6-ounce custard cups in a 13x9x2 baking pan on oven rack. Pour pumpkin mixture into cups. Pour boiling water into pan around cups to a depth of 1 inch. Bake in a 325 degree oven 50 minutes. Serve warm or cool. NOTES: I use more of the spice and add some cinnamon too, since I really like my pumpkin pie more spicy. I've also used larger custard cups (10 ounce) and just made 3 of the puddings, but you have to bake them longer.

I'm just checking in for the day and had a busy weekend. I made the choice to overeat some yesterday, but did better today. I'll have my weigh-in tomorrow so I hope this weekend didn't cause me any problems. At least I still have this coming week to stay on track before my one year weigh-in. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

cj59, Thank you for the recipes! I will probably actually try them, which is more than I can say for most recipes I see passed around on weight loss boards. What can I say? I'm very suspicious of health food. Glad that you're doing well and I'll be crossing my fingers for you on WI day! Today went pretty good diet-wise. Breakfast was great on points, dinner was great on points, I worked out, BUT I ran into my arch-nemesis at lunch: free food! Delicious little tacos and nachos, plus free ice cream and a candy bar! And when I say candy bar, I mean a table of candy where they fill up a bag for you... I grabbed three little pieces and ran! But I sat down with those tacos and nachos so... could've been better, could've been a lot worse. I am giving myself credit for not going crazy like that shark on Finding Nemo. Good luck everyone with your challenges this week!

Hi everyone! cj59, I'm so excited for your 1 year anniversary! sunrose49, good for your for getting your walk in! irisinnia, Free food is my nemesis as well. Unfortunately, I have a lot of it in my line of work. There are constantly events and business lunches, etc. I'm keeping on - I've been trying to just work on the small stuff - cutting out some of the junk and avoiding overeating. I think that's most of the battle for me. This weekend I went out dancing with friends (something I never do). I logged a ton of activity and I can't believe how sore I got just from dancing. To think, I used to to this every weekend! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello Everyone irisinnia - I hope you do enjoy the recipes if you try them. That applesauce one would be 0 points for you on PointsPlus wouldn't it? I'm not one for a bunch of "healthy" recipes either wwlurker - I'm glad to hear you are working on habits you want to change. I agree with you that changing our habits is most of the battle for us. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the dancing, that sounds like it was fun. I weighed-in today and gained weight, I guess from the weekend eating. Then I went to the grocery store and was so good and didn't buy any junk but came home and started eating everything in the house! It's really frustrating how my mind reacts to a weight gain. I know that I didn't eat that much over this weekend and if I weighed again tomorrow or Wednesday, I'd probably be down. But after the eating today, I know I'll be up. I really hope I have this out of my system and the rest of the week I can be on track. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plan
