Virginia, that's good the weather has not caused you to have a migraine lately. I'm sure those are rough. The date of my parents passing slips by me often. I think of them every day, talk to them all the time and even after 7 years of my mother passing I occasionally want to call her. Sorry you had to miss your WW meeting yesterday. Have fun walking today.
Waving to all
The sun is out today so I will get a walk in with Maddie. I will also do day 3 of week one on the TM.

Hola, Brenda - thanks for the start. Good job keeping up with the C25 training. Have a fun walk with Maddie.
We made it to our airb&b flat. All 6 bags and us fit into a car at the airport. We have arrived dirung the major celebration of Falles Bonfire festival of San Jose, the city will be packed with people starting today thru the 19. All the rentals units available have rented for the week and will not be available until after the holiday. We might have to leave the city and then return to find our long term home. We did look at a flat yesterday but it didn't have a balcony and it was outside the area we want. Last night at dinner we met a couple from New Mexico that moved here a year ago. I have checked out two gyms that offer body pump and other Les Mills classes and today we went to the climbing gym. The climbing gym was small but better than nothing. Today is in the 70s and sunny. Good morning, folks.

They have a Hampton Inn in the suburbs you can stay at until the festival blows over, Debbie?
I'll be driving down to Springfield tomorrow. I have a couple of employees working for us down there that have gotten no face time since I started.
Springfield is, to use a polite term, a shïthole. Apparently, my predecessor loathed going down there. It's one of the few things where he and I see eye to eye. Y'all remember my trips to St Louis where I stayed in the same room at the Hampton Inn and had a nice rotation of restaurants and such? Yeah. Springfield turns into a ghost town at 6PM every night and reeks of decay. Hopefully I'll find a reasonably priced chain restaurant somewhere in the burbs.

Happy Sunday, Louis - I will look for the Hampton inn.
It is crazy here today! We were close to the train station and it looked like all of Europe was arriving. Street parties everyone, fireworks all day and the Festival doesn't start until the 15th. There are 300 wooden structures built, some 3 stories tall and they burn them all on the 19th. I thought Burning man was crazy. This is a city wide burning man. We might have another airb&b to move into for a couple weeks. Down 2 pounds, life without a car. Debbie

Hi, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Hi, Brenda. Thankfully my migraines are not as severe as they were when I first started getting them, but they still cause me grief. Thankfully they don't take me 100% down for long, most of the time. I remember my parents at random times, it seems. Something will make me think of something that they used to say or do, or I'll hear an old song. The walk yesterday was good. It was nice to be outdoors. Hi, Debbie. It's so nice of your temporary homeland to welcome you with a festival. I hope that the new Air BnB works out for you. I'm sure you are getting some serious steps in without a car. Hi, Lou. Wow re: Springfield. I would have thought the state capital would have had more redeeming qualities. Perhaps the interwebs can be searched for some good restaurants. Safe driving wishes headed your way. Yesterday was 8 outdoor miles. We thought we'd be able to get our entire mileage on the greenway, but there are too many parts of it still debris covered from flooding. We adjusted our route and when we had about 1.5 miles to go we encountered two of our walking buds. That was a pleasant surprise. Today was a WATP as I don't plan to go anywhere today. Springing forward will likely provide challenging when starting my Monday. Waving hi to Vicki and Lori, hope you are both doing well. Later, Ginia
